Chapter 30 - Inconceivable Lands

From the summit of the palace, Ryo gazed out over the distant plains. The dragons gathered below had no idea that these lands had been purified. To them, these stretches remained haunted by ancient legends: even the gods had failed to reclaim them from the demons and monsters, overwhelmed by their number and power.

Ryo spoke, his voice resonating with authority:

> "People of Ashen… listen to me. The lands beyond the hills are now cultivable. They will provide you with homes and a future—if you know how to care for them."

A murmur ran through the assembly. Many dragons exchanged incredulous glances. These lands had been impenetrable for centuries, and this announcement seemed almost impossible.

> "These lands will henceforth be called Verdalis," Ryo continued. "Here you will find food, shelter, and prosperity. But remember, their wealth will depend on your vigilance and your labor."

The dragons growled and whispered among themselves:

> "Cultivable? Even the gods failed to claim it… how could we succeed?"

"We will have to see for ourselves… I doubt anything can survive here."

Kaelen and the other Guardians watched silently from above. The secret of the purification remained between them and Ryo. No dragon could guess that the land had been made fertile by the will of the Lord and Kaelen's aura.

> "Go, people of Ashen, prepare to settle on Verdalis. Work these lands, prosper… and let your legacy begin."

The dragons instinctively bowed, respecting their Lord, yet doubt still glimmered in their eyes. Kaelen, hovering above, watched silently, ready to intervene should corruption attempt to disturb these new promises.
