Kaelen hovered above the purified plains, his intense golden eyes scanning the horizon. Although the ground had become fertile and bright again, signs of residual corruption appeared in places: blackened cracks, twisted roots, and a dark mist clinging to certain hills.
He descended slowly, his wings barely stirring the wind, and landed his talons on the soil. The ground trembled lightly beneath his weight, as if recognizing its lord. Kaelen extended his hands over the corrupted areas, and a fine rain of white light fell upon the fissures, sealing them instantly.
> "No evil shall persist," he murmured, his voice carried by the wind to the other Guardians.
Several hundred meters away, Nysera, perched on a hill, observed attentively.
> "This is no longer just purification…" she said, her tone almost admiring.
"He is restructuring the land, preparing it for the people to come. Kaelen does not merely erase the evil — he recreates life."
Calrik nodded, his eyes squinting toward the ground:
> "Every gesture is calculated, every spark of light has a purpose. No other Guardian could accomplish this work with such meticulous precision."
Suddenly, a low rumble shook the hills. Kaelen straightened, wings fully spread, his aura intensifying like a storm of light. Tiny but numerous creatures, remnants of the corruption, emerged from the fissures and attempted to flee the purification.
Without a single unnecessary movement, Kaelen traced a circle in the air, and a spiral wave of light descended. The creatures were instantly consumed, reduced to particles of luminous dust that scattered into the wind. The ground firmed beneath his talons, as if stabilizing with every step he took.
> "The lands are reborn under our will…" Kaelen murmured, his eyes fixed on the horizon.
Far above, in the twilight sky, the other Guardians gathered, exchanging silent glances. No words were needed: they all knew that Kaelen's purification would never cease, and that his vigilance ensured every parcel of Ashen would be ready for the draconic people.
Kaelen rose higher, gliding slowly, inspecting the valleys and hills like an invisible eye watching over a reborn kingdom.
> "As long as I remain, nothing will disturb this world…" he murmured to himself, and the light emanating from him seemed to embrace the entire plains, sealing them in an immutable brilliance.
