Chapter 33 - The Awakening of Verdalis

The dragons remained frozen, hesitant to take the first step onto Verdalis. Some scrutinized the ground as if afraid it might crack beneath their weight, while others exchanged whispers filled with doubt and curiosity.

An older dragon finally stepped forward, eyes wide:

> "My Lord… I… I must see for myself. If what you say is true… then these lands can truly offer us a future."

He took a few cautious steps, touching the ground with his hand. A shiver ran through him as he felt the earth vibrate with a gentle and reassuring energy. Beside him, a young dragon whispered softly:

> "It's… incredible… the soil is alive… and yet, there are no monsters, no trace of a curse…"

Other dragons, still incredulous, crouched and observed the sparkling rivers. A female dragon, her head tilted, murmured:

> "Perhaps… perhaps we underestimated the Lord…"

Ryo watched the assembly, his gaze impassive yet full of authority, while Kaelen, hovering above, let the light of his aura softly caress the plains, watching silently. The dragons were beginning to realize that what they saw surpassed everything they had believed possible, yet fear and skepticism still lingered in some minds.

The wind swept over Verdalis, carrying both hope and doubt. Every dragon knew that the true test would not only be setting foot on these lands but living on them, cultivating them, and proving that the impossible could indeed become reality.
