Inside the shopping mall.
Hela stood at the entrance of the mall, browsing a jewelry store near the door.
Suddenly, a news report played on the huge screen in the center.
"According to internal sources, at 2 AM last night, a body was discovered in an alley in Hell's Kitchen. Forensic examination confirmed the deceased was the renowned blind lawyer Matt Murdock. The killer is currently being pursued with full force..."
Hela's gaze was fixed on the screen. The body in the image was indistinct, its face disfigured, wearing black and red clothing. Only its mouth and nose were visible on its entire face. This attire immediately confirmed the person's identity as Daredevil.
Peter Parker squatted down, picked up a bottle, and filled it with the mysterious liquid. Then, he looked at Alan Folker and excitedly said, "It must be related to the black mist from before."
Hearing this, Alan Folker looked around and saw no "black mist," but the mysterious liquid was indeed strange. He responded, "Peter, take this liquid back first. I'll find someone to research it later."
"Teacher Chen, have you forgotten? Matthew is a chemistry genius; he can definitely research the mysterious liquid," Peter Parker said gravely, holding the bottle, having already thought of who to ask for research.
"Alright then. If there are any problems, remember to tell me. Peter, be careful lately; the opponent is probably not to be trifled with," Alan Folker thought for a moment, constantly recalling the enemies Peter Parker might encounter, but none matched his description.
"Understood!" Peter Parker put on his mask, shot out a web, and disappeared among the buildings.
Alan Folker's expression was solemn as he scanned his surroundings again. Not a trace of that energy signature remained, making it impossible to track. It seemed to be a very strong enemy indeed.
He pondered for a few seconds, feeling that things were becoming increasingly complicated.
The next second, Alan Folker transformed into an afterimage and vanished from his spot.
A few minutes later, inside the mall, Alan Folker appeared in the elevator, walked out, and called out to Hela a few times.
Hela's attention had been on the big screen, and Alan Folker's voice interrupted her thoughts.
"You're here, let's go," Hela smiled slightly, took Alan Folker's arm, and walked into the mall.
Alan Folker looked up at the big screen and subtly caught some information about Daredevil. It was this detail that made him realize Daredevil had already met a tragic end.
However, Alan Folker never imagined who could have killed Daredevil. After all, Daredevil had always considered Kingpin his mortal enemy. With Daredevil dead, Kingpin would naturally be the most pleased.
Could it be Kingpin? Did he truly have the ability to kill Daredevil?
Alan Folker was a bit puzzled. Perhaps Coulson would know, but he didn't need to concern himself with Daredevil's life or death.
If Daredevil really died, then the main storyline must have changed. Alan Folker remembered that although Daredevil had died many times, none of those deaths occurred in the Main World.
In "Punisher Kills Marvel," he was eventually killed by the Punisher. In "Powerless," he was beaten to death. In "Ultimate," he died in an earthquake and flood. In "Days of Future Past," he was killed by Bullseye. In "What If," he was killed by a role-reversed Elektra. There were also many other times he died as a background character.
Therefore, Daredevil's current death is highly suspicious.
For an entire afternoon, Alan Folker accompanied Hela shopping. Here, she seemed to have endless energy, always full of vitality.
Of course, Alan Folker looked at the smiling and happy Hela with a gratified expression, and a happy smile also appeared on his face.
There was none of the fatigue from accompanying girls shopping in his previous life, or even the desire to escape.
Now, he was very peaceful, especially his state of mind; even shopping with Hela filled him with happiness.
After an afternoon of rich activities, with tired bodies, they sped through the streets and soon returned to the apartment.
Alan Folker brought the items inside and happened to run into Peter Parker, who was rushing back.
After an afternoon, Peter Parker's progress in researching the liquid was unknown, but seeing his somewhat troubled expression, he seemed to have encountered a problem.
Alan Folker sent Hela back inside, while he went to Peter Parker's room.
Peter Parker cautiously let Alan Folker in, then closed the door. He asked, "Teacher Chen, what is this?"
"A sample of Karola's body. I suspect this mysterious liquid is related to Karola, and their goal is likely to kill you," Alan Folker recalled Peter Parker's previous wound. Its location was very close to the heart. If it hit the heart, even with Spider-Man's strong healing factor, it would almost certainly be fatal.
Peter Parker pondered for a few seconds. To him, "Karola" was too unfamiliar, and he didn't know why they would target him, or how they knew he was Spider-Man.
Or perhaps, they had been looking for him, not knowing who the real Spider-Man was, but rather that they had been searching for him all along.
"Okay, Teacher Chen, we will investigate this as soon as possible," Peter Parker glanced at the sample in his hand, put on his Spider-Man suit, climbed out the window, and disappeared into the night.
He had no time to wait. The enemy was in the shadows, and all the answers were about to be revealed. He and Matthew had to work through the night to research the genetic sequencing of the liquid and Karola's sample.
