Noboru says curiously. "Captain Kazuki tell us more about about your past‚ I'm still curious. You're too Kaito-kun right?"
Kaito said nodding. "Indeed."
Kazuki smacks Noboru on his head. "Shut up you brat‚ I'm going to tell you."
Kazuki continued with his past. "And after that all that kinds thing happened. A few months later‚ we were both I and creepy smile were appointed vice captains of our teams."
"Then‚ one day.."
Both Kazuki and Takuma enters the Slayers head's office‚ the head looking much younger even by one year's difference and still had his eyes.
"Hey! Thanks for coming Welcome." The head said.
Kazuki said. "You don't have to be so formal with us."
"I agree." Takuma said with a smile.
The head walks close to takuma and places his hand on his shoulder. "I heard you did amazing work while executing that demon the other day."
"It was nothing." Takuma said.
"I heard you saved all the people captured by that demon‚ I wish I could've save seen that magic!" Head says adding the last line excitedly.
"Oh‚ I'll give you the points for that next time. Don't worry." The head confirmed with a smile.
"I'm honored‚ Thank you very much." Takuma smiled back.
Next the head place his hand on Kazuki's shoulder. "I heard you were absolutely fierce in the defensive battle at the village. I heard you split the giant dummies that the enemy created using ice majutsu in two.
Kazuki looks away with a proud smile.
"That was nothing..."
He looks back with serious almost angry expression. "Actually‚ it was everything! You're going to give me some points‚ too‚ right?"
"Of course I'm sure your captain will be proud of his vice captain." The head said back nervously.
Suddenly Noboru breaks the past story. "Captain Kazuki what are these points you keep talking about?"
Kazuki smacks him in the head the water flashing. "You dumbass don't speak while I'm telling you the story!"
"The points are givin after each mission you complete." Kazuki said.
"Oh‚ how many does our team have?" Kaito asked curiously.
Kazuki smirks almost proudly before saying. "5 points."
"What?!!! And how many does other teams have?!" Noborh asked shockingly.
"Other teams have more than ours‚ the best team aka akane-san's team have 95 points so we're the last." Renjuro said.
"What?! That's too low." Noboru's said.
"It really is.." Kaito agreed.
Kazuki smacks them both on their heads. "Dumbasses be greatful‚ we had less before about -50 but because of your victory over the bloodfang Pentad we are at 5 now. Congrats I guess."
"It was only the weakest bloodfang though.."
Both Kaito and Noboru said.
"He was weakest of the strongest‚ it had been over 6 decades since we actually manage to kill one of the bloodfang. So that's something." Kazuki said with almond a prideful smile.
"Anyway don't disturb my story now!"
The other Slayer said. "Sir‚ it's about time."
"Oh‚ right. Sorry to have you both drop by while you're busy." The head's turned serious.
"There's a job that I'd like you two to take on."
Both of them listened to the head.
"Bandits?"
"Yeah‚ they're causing trouble all over. Would you two catch them for me?" The head said while sitting on his chair.
Takuma said. "Of course‚ sir. The Slayers lives to keep people safe from bandits and demons. We will happily accept this mission but.."
Kazuki cut off Takuma. "Why are you just asking the two of us?"
"Well‚ it's possible that‚ someone from the Slayers is aiding the bandits." The head said.
Kazuki smiled. "Well‚ can't say I'm surprised."
"Mhm‚ I don't think the bandits are ordinary bandits. They're well organized and even has some forbidden majutsu items. Pretty powerful ones‚ at that. It may be that someone is providing them with magic items that we find while demon hunting." The head explained.
"I see‚ that's why you want us." Kazuki said.
The head continued. "If all the Slayers were assigned to this‚ the evidence may be destroyed and the guilty ones may disappear without us knowing."
Takuma spoke. "That's why we've been assigned to this secret mission."
"Exactly."
Kazuki smirked. "Head‚ what are you going to do if one of us is that traitor? What if we just let the bandits slip away."
"Well‚ that would be a problem. But I think I know you two pretty well by now. I've known you since before you even joined the Slayers."
"That's why I trust you" The head laughs lightly before continuing. "But if you two end up betraying me‚ there's nothing much I can do."
Kauzki chuckles. "Tch‚ you were always a cunning old fart."
"Well‚ I'll be counting on both of you."
The head shows them the map. "I've marked the town and Villages that have been attacked by bandits before."
Kazuki says quietly. "I see..So they've shown up in multiple unexpected places. Must be so people won't be able to figure out where they'll show up again."
The head says. "I've sent messages to other Slayers‚ in these places to keep their guard up‚ but that information must have been leaked by now."
Takuma says. "The bandit's keep appearing in places that's not heavily guarded."
"We are going to have to figure out where they'll show up again‚ but that'll be tough to do so." Kazuki said thinking.
"No‚ it's actually quite simple." Takuma said.
"Huh?"
Takuma looks at the map. "First‚ we can rule out any places that's already been attacked by the bandits. They'll likely attack next where treasure has been found lately‚ or somewhere near a harvest‚ a geat looking one especially."
Kazuki speaks up. "Even so‚ there are over seven or ten places"
Takuma says again. "We can probably figure out the places that are near the sites of attack‚ too. They'll probably assume that such places will be on high alert or hard to attack."
"But.." Takuma cuts Kazuki off. "You think the two of us can't cover all the place by our own‚ right? I know. That's why.."
Takuma places his fingers on the marks on map. "Here..here..and here this Village. Could you send out some Slayers to these locations to be on high alert for these bandits?"
Kazuki says with higher voice. "Why‚ though? If someone's leaking there'd be no point—"
The head cuts off Kazuki. "I see! You want to take advantage of the fact that someone is leaking information.
Takuma nods. "Yes. They'll probably avoid places that are being highly guarded by the Slayers. They'll prioritize that aren't being guarded by the Slayers."
As takuma looks over at Kazuki he looks away a bit embarrassed. "Well I already k-knew that you dumbass. I was just testing you." He looks back smiling. "Which means the places they're probably gonna go after are either town of furukawa of kamikawa."
In the evening Kazuki is standing on top of a tree looking over the town when Takuma says through the phone in Kazuki's hand. "How are things looking over there‚ Kazuki."
"Nothing suspicious so far.." Kazuki said looking around.
"It appears that an powerful majutsu item was found near kamikawa town recently. That item is being regarded as the town's treasure and is on display inside the mayor's house" Takuma said.
"They're probably just regarding some demonic item. Only a handful of Slayers would know about that at this point." Kazuki said.
"It's too early for the bandits to show up for this treasure. So if they show up in search of this item‚ it'll be clear that there's a traitor within Slayers." Takuma said.
"Mhm. How are things looking over there?" Kazuki asked.
"Nothing suspicious has happened so far. They just finished harvesting do they're preparing for their harvest festival. Apparently‚ their harvest was very wonderful this year." Takuma told.
"I see‚ the bandits will love to get their hands over it." Kazuki said over the phone.
"Just to remind you‚ no matter where the bandits show up‚ do not fight alone. We'll wait until we contact and the other arrive to fight‚ after all I want to fight the bandits. Got it?" Takuma said.
"Yeah‚ yeah. You better not gl back on that and call me so you won't get your hands on the points alone!" Kazuki yelled over the phone.
Takuma chuckles. "I won't. I'll contact you again if I see anything."
"Mhm"
Later in the night‚ Kazuki lays over the tree eating an apple. When he suddenly feels majutsu pressure. "Hmm?" He looks up to see some people probably bandits flying towards the town with flying majutsu.
"Theg actually showed up" Kazuki tries to call Takuma. "Hey‚ they're here‚ creepy smile. You hear me! Hey! What the hell is going on? The signals are fully gone."
Kazuki feels some type of majutsu. "Hm? This majutsu pressure..are they blocking off communication somehow. Looks like they're someho able to do it‚ guess they aren't ordinary bandits after all."
"Must be a traitor from Slayers..guess I'll just have to hunt them all down. Looks like they're about twenty..no‚ more than that. They're probably atleast fifty"
Kazuki remembers Takuma words. "No matter where the bandits show up‚ don't handle them alone. We'll wait for the other to arrive."
"Well I can't get hold of you‚ so what the hell am I supposed to do you creepy smiley bastard. I'm just gonna have to do all the work on my own"
Kazuki jumps down from the tree using flying majutsu himself to follow the bandits.
"I'll cut them down before they reach they'll reach the town."
"Blade of destruction first form‚ Cataclysm Edge!"
