At Theron's study Lucien stares at Theron. He decides to use his sharp hearing to reach out for Asherah. Lucien brows draws together. Who's she with?. He taps his finger on the armrest of the sofa listening to her conversation with whoever it is. His frown when he hears soft cries Asherah crying.
"Is anything wrong?" Theron asks, seeing the frown on his face.
Lucien stands up "Prepare for my wedding with your daughter we'll be getting married in two days"
Theron frowns "You can't do that" he refutes.
Lucien glances at him "She's endured enough" he says before leaving the study making his way to the room he shares with Asherah. He arrived to see the third princess of moon stone pack princess Mireah Zev coming out of the room with red eyes. She glance at him with a smile on her face greeting him with a curt nod which he returns the gesture.
He pause staring at her back for a long while before he enters the room to see Ash with her palms covering her face as she breaks down in tears.
Lucien goes to sit beside her. He hugs her comfortingly, patting her back.
He didn't say any words to comfort her. He couldn't because he doesn't know how and where to begin because he has gone through similar pains and no amount of words will be able to comfort and remove that despair and pain in her heart.
As time passes by her tears begin to reduce leaving only her hiccups to fill the room. Noticing her steady breaths he stares at her to see her eyes closed. He carefully lays her on the bed. He lays with her for a while patting her back continuously before he moves to leave the room quietly.
Lucien opens the door to the Alpha study.
"I'm afraid I can't let you change the original plans, King Lucien".
"I also don't want you to do so but I don't want to keep her trapped in her painful past. I want her to start a new beginning and forget all that has happened to her" he says with worry etched on his face.
Theron sighs, nodding his head.
"inform her about this. I'll try to inform the guests as soon as possible. I'll like you to keep your words pertaining my daughter's safety Lucien" Theron says, looking him in the eyes like a strict father in law.
Deep into the night Asherah wakes up feeling her eyes sore from all the crying.
"Ash " Lilly calls. "It's all in the past now" she says comfortingly.
Asherah's eyes widens. She stares out through the window but there was no sign of water.
"Is the curse broken?" She mumbles.
"Lilly, is there something wrong with my eyesight cause I can't see any sign of rain".
Lilly becomes silent. After a while she says "Can we go for a swim".
Asherah sighs "We'll go if only you tell me why there was no heavy down pour when I cried".
Lilly sighs "It's because of our mate. I really can't explain it because I don't know how to but it has something to do with him".
Asherah stares at the sleeping Lucien on the bed before she looks outside the window. She grips on the window rail tightly before jumping down from one window rail to another before she lands on the floor transforming to her wolf.
Lucien opens his eyes staring at the door Asherah spot stood on. He stands walking to the window. He stares below to see the familiar white wolf walking into the forest. He stares at the wolf until it disappears. Where is she going??.
With a strong gust of wind he disasters from his spot to appear a few meters away from the lake. He frowns moving forward but he couldn't there's an invisible barrier preventing him from doing so"
Placing his palm on it. It forms ripples like the surface of a water emitting an emerald green glow.
His frown deepens. What the hell is this? Trying to walk past it but the force pushes him back.
Lucien sighs trying to teleport himself to the other side of the barrier but he couldn't. He sighs frustratedly and teleports back to his room in the moon stone pack.
Where is she? Is she the one that placed the barrier?
Lucien continues to pace round the room when he hears noises outside glancing through the window he sees Asherah's wolf form heading back. He quickly lay back on the bed, closing his eyes.
After some while he hears light footsteps walking around the room.
He opens his eyes to see her wrapped in a towel with her hair wet and water dripping down her body. Lucien raise a brow. She went for a swim but she said she's still learning how to.
He closes his eyes when she turns around to face him. She stares at him for a while before picking a dress walking into the powder room to wear a new night dress
