Lucien walks with a stoic face towards Theron's study seeking his audience. Nate the King's gamma announces his presence before opening the door for Lucien to walk in.
Not wasting time Lucien sits staring at Theron he asks "Does Asherah have a mate?"
Theron cocks a brow at him "Yes. But it's not my place to tell who it is. I did ask her to do so but if she didn't then it's up to her" Theron replies staring back at Lucien.
Asherah pours all her focus on the book in her hand not hearing the continuous knocks on the door.
Outside the door Mireah keeps on knocking. She stood and sighs. A maid had informed her that Asherah was back. Where could she have possibly gone to. She quietly opens the door seeing Asherah reading a book.
She enters inside, softly locking the door. She walks towards the bed and calls out "Ash".
Asherah closes the book in her arms to see her baby sister standing in her front.
"Mireah" Asherah squeals, tossing the book aside to give Mireah a squashing hug. Mireah giggles.
They both sit on the bed. .
"How do you know it's me? Have you seen me before" Mireah asks to see Asherah run sheepishly.
"That's a secret" She replies, sizing Mireah up.
"You look so big," Asherah says.
"Of course sister. I'm not so little even though brother thinks that I still am" Asherah says. The both girls giggle.
"I'm sorry for not coming to see you. To tell the truth, I've never seen you since I was born. Father and brother would only tell me about how I have one more older sibling who's the first princess of the pack. And when i want to meet you mother wouldn't let me".
Asherah pats her head lovingly "It's okay even if you've never seen me it's not a problem. I always watch you from afar when you would always throw tantrums once the Luna doesn't agree to your demands of meeting me". Asherah says giggling.
Mireah smiles sadly "I still don't know why mother is venting all her anger at you knowing you're the innocent one. It wasn't your fault that you were born" Mireah pouts. "It irritates me the most to see Thea following mother's footsteps".
Asherah cups her cheeks "Why is your heart filled with bitterness? Let them go. We have brighter days ahead".
Mireah drops her head low as a tear rolls down her cheeks. She immediately wipes it off.
"Everyone sees me as a little child but I know more than one thinks. Mother is not who we think she is and it pains me to see Thea trending on that same part".
Asherah hugs Mireah. "What are you saying Mireah. Although I cannot call her my mother, nevertheless she's still your mother. And a mother will always love her child no matter what".
Mireah shakes her head in despair "That's not a mother Ash. A mother is someone who is willing to love every child as hers" she says, pulling away. "Don't pretend to me Ash. I know mother has been hitting you ever since she stopped Dad, Aiden and Luna Sarai to stop visiting you".
Asherah Pales. How did she know even her father doesn't know? Neither does Aiden know about it.
"How…do you know about that? Promise me you wouldn't ever tell me anyone".
Mireah shakes her head "Why why Ash. She's been unfair to you, always lashing out on you everyone she comes into your room calling you a home wrecker. Why Ash. I also know the reason why you stopped crying everytime mother hits you. I saw the letter of abuse Thea sent you the last time you cried telling you how father has to face the people on your behalf. I know everything Ash. Everything".
Mireah says, breaking down in tears. Asherah hugs Mireah comfortingly, patting her head.
Everything Mireah said was the truth. But how did she come to know about it? She would have never known that her father had to go through a lot anytime she cries. But Thea sent her a letter reigning curses on her also informing her about it"
Asherah couldn't hold back the tears anymore as it rolls down her cheeks. Soft knocks echoes on the door.
Mireah pulls away smiling while she cleans her tears. "That must be Leon. He's my personal guard. He probably wants to remind me about my appointment with the pack doctor. Well talk some other time". She says smiling as she makes her way out of the room
