Lucien enters the room to see Asherah still asleep. He sighs. She really cried a lot last night.
He opens the door to go out when he sees Aiden in front of the door wanting to knock before he retreats his hand.
"Sorry for disturbing you. Father has asked me to take you along with me to pick out a wedding gown for Ash"
Aiden says.
"Let's do that later in the day, she's still asleep" Lucien says.
Aiden frowns. It's unlike Ash corner to sleep in.
He looks at Lucien with a scrutinizing gaze.
"I will like to take it that the king of Dothan respects the people of this pack and wouldn't cross his boundaries with the princess of this pack until they are both officially married and gives her consent to do so".
Lucien chuckles "No need to worry prince Aiden. I won't do anything until she gives her consent" he says grinning "As of now my wife is still having her beauty sleep. I don't want her looking tired and stressed out tomorrow".
Aiden gives a curt nod turning to leave. He closes the door turning to behind to see Asherah sitting in the bed rubbing her eyes groggily.
"Who was that?" She asks.
"Prince Aiden" he replies, pouring her a cup of water before handing it to her.
"Brother" Asherah exclaims wanting to dash out of the bed when Lucien places a firm grip on her thighs.
She looks at him with furrowed brows.
"You need rest and you haven't had anything to eat yet. You'll need strength. We will be going to shop for your wedding gown later when you've rested well" he says, staring at her.
She turns away avoiding his gaze slowly nodding her head.
Lucien sighs caressing her thighs, making her breath hitch.
"I'll tell the maids to serve your meals and prepare a medicine to help with your head ache if you have one"
He says, staring at her side features.
"I'll need it" she whispers. Her head has been acting badly since she woke up from sleep. She cried herself to sleep last night. Her eyes are puffy. She must look so awful. Asherah groans internally, doing more to hide her face from Lucien.
Lucien smirks as he leans closer whispering in her ears "You look cute when blushing" he pecks the side of her forehead. He climbs off the bed leaning the room.
Asherah quickly dashed into the washroom to freshen up before having her breakfast.
She walks out of the washroom with a pink dress using the towel in her hand to dry her hair.
Seeing Lucien enter the room carrying her food in his hand, she quickly hangs the towel, walking towards him.
"You didn't have to do that" Asherah says, collecting the platter of food from his hand.
"You said you didn't want anyone in the pack to see your face until our wedding. I'm merely preventing it from happening" Lucien. Says with a shrug of his shoulders.
Asherah places the platter of food on the table "Thanks" she whispers.
Lucien smiles "I'll go freshen up". He needs to leave, his canines are getting more itchy with the time he spends with Asherah and seeing her clad in this dress he couldn't risk it.
Asherah settles to have her good favouring the taste of her food. Half way into her food, Lucien comes out of the washroom with water dripping down his body. His soft hair become more soft in texture due to its wetness
With a white towel hanging loosely around his waist. Asherah gulps scanning bodily physique. She avoids looking at his body but Lilly's making it hard for her.
She looks intently at the plate of food continuously stuffing her mouth with food. Lucien chuckles seeing her mouth full."You look like a plumpy squirrel"
Lucien says, picking out clothes from his closet. Asherah stares at him with squinted eyes slowly chewing her food.
Asherah swallows her food and pauses for a while. Feeling the hostile gaze directed at him he turns to her and raises a brow.
"Are you trying to say that I'm fat?" Asherah asks glaringly.
Lucien awkwardly chuckles. If there's one thing he's learnt from his sister is never tell a lady she's fat. It brings war.
Hmph. Asherah harrumphs placing the food on the beside table, walking towards her closet to pick out a dress. She enters the powder room with a loud bang.
Lucien sighs. Deciding to deal with it later on.
