Keith bent down his knees and whispered something in the corpse's ear in cold tone. "Rot in hell." He stood up and turned his gaze towards Merlin. "Any of you wonder why she was trying to kill us," he asked.
"Beats me," Kayla said in an indifferent tone.
"Maybe it's because humans aren't supposed to awaken classes," Merlin said.
"I guess so," Keith agreed but there still wasn't enough to supports Merlin's claim or even enough evidence to refute his claim. "Use your necromancy Spells to bring her back to life and we'll interrogate her properly."
"Alright," Merlin said as he walked up to the corpse of the dragon. He outstretched his hand and said one word in a low tone:
"Rise." After that one word was uttered, the corpse body convulsed and started healing itself. The burnt skin and flesh were replaced with unnatural speed. The gaping hole in her chest closed but her heart didn't regenerate. After her body was fully repaired, shadow wrapped around her slim figure and turned into clothes that she wore before. she stood up and opened her eyes.
Her eyes were pitch black and lifeless indicating that she had truly died and she had no soul. She was nothing more than an undead creature that will serve Merlin till the end. She bent on one knee and bowed down to Merlin. "Master please this faithful servant a name," she said, her voice no longer carrying the coldness that it used to have.
"Your name shall be Caster," he answered as he gave her name. Before he started interrogating her, he decided to check on his status.

"Let's get to the interrogation show we. You have to answer all of my questions," merlin said and his undead soldier nodded. "The reason I tried to eliminate you was because those were the orders given by our government and church if a human ever awakened a class," she answered
"Why?"
"Because our government and church didn't want humans to be on the same level as dragons and onis. They can't stand the thought of a human being on equal footing as dragons and onis. They want humans to be at the bottom of the food chain and humans to serve under them."
"Mind if ask what happens to humans if they fail to awaken?" Keith asked that had been on his mind for a very long time as soon as regained his memories.
"They are sent to mines or either sold to dragons and onis in the black market. Some of our folk have specific tastes."
"And what are is human's standing when they join a guild?" this time it was Kayla who asked the question.
"When they join a guild there are used as meat shields and bait but to ensure that humans don't complain about how their treated by that guild, they silence them by paying them a hefty amount of money."
"One more question. Are there any cameras here?" Keith asked. He couldn't see any cameras but he asked either way. It was better to be safe than sorry. He knew there existed technology that made cameras invisible or so small that it can't be seen by the naked eye.
"There are no cameras in this cathedral so you don't have to about anyone knowing that you guys killed me," she reassured him.
"But they will notice that you are missing, won't they?" he said as he looked with the same cold gaze.
"They would but people like me are disposable and replaceable so they won't conduct any investigation."
"Alright good to know," he said as he heaved a sigh of relief.
"We'll ask you more questions about this world later. You are dismissed," Merlin said and Caster's body dissolved into his shadow. After their conversation with Caster, they decided to go back home. They walked out of the cathedral and walked by the sidewalk casually as if they had no just committed a serious crime.
Thinking of the kids back at the orphanage, Keith and his friends decided to buy them some delicious food to celebrate their awakening. They went to a burger place and bought a lot burgers, chips and drinks with the money they had been saving for the past years.
They went to a train station and boarded a train back home. Keith pulled out his phone from the pocket and texted the caretaker of orphanage. His message saying, "You don't have to cook tonight, we bought a lot of food for the kids to enjoy."
He didn't get a reply which was a bit strange but he guessed she must've been busy or something. He shrugged but he still felt an uneasy feeling rising up his chest. He couldn't help but worry. When the train stopped at their location they boarded of the train and walked towards the orphanage.
They were all quite in a happy mood. As their got closer to the orphanage, they noticed that there was huge crowd. The swiftly maneuvered through huge crowd and wanted to see what the commotion was about.
What they saw left them in a state of shock and despair. The orphanage was in shambles. What used to be place were children used to live in happiness without a care in the world was now destroyed. The only thing left of the place was rubble and the mangled corpses of the children and the caretakers. As they walked closer, they saw enforcers at the scene and the enforcers told them that they were killed by a soul beast that escaped a soul rift. Keith and his friends knew that the enforcer in front of them was just spatting bullshit.
These three were reincarnated individuals and back in their old world they knew how soul beasts acted. They knew damn well that soul beasts don't leave behind food so the person who must've done was either a human, dragon or oni.
