Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Hybrid Academy

Merlin, Keith and Kayla were sitting on a bench waiting for a person to pick them up. Due to boredom they decided to play a few games. They played rock, paper, scissors for a while then played truth or dare. After a while they got bored of the games they were playing and decided to just scroll on their phones. After a few hours of waiting, someone entered the hospital.

Suddenly the air in the hospital shifted. The place grew eerily silent as if welcoming the figure who entered this hospital. The air was suffocating and the three found it hard to breath but it was bearable for them since they had awakened but if they had not, this suffocating pressure would've caused them to faint.

The figure had long silver-white hair, sky-blue eyes that had otherworldly glow, pale white skin. He stood at an impressive height of six feet tall. He had a robust physique and muscles honed and sculpted from exercise and countless battles. He wore black trouser with golden engravings on it and white sleeveless shirt. He had scars on his arms from countless battles.

The man suddenly turned his gaze towards the trio. They suddenly felt a mysterious force press down on them. They couldn't move their bodies at all. Breathing became an impossible task for the three of them. The muscles strained and bones quaked. The hairs on the back of their stood upright warning of danger. They instincts screamed at them to run but their bodies weren't responding to their commands no their bodies couldn't.

Keith suppressed the urge to summon his relic and attack this man even though it would be all in vain. His eyes turn cold, any emotion or color in them was extinguished. Before he rushed in to attack, Merlin held him back. Keith gazed back at Merlin and nodded as if saying thank you for stopping from making a stupid decision.

"You are quite bold for attempting to attack me. Not many people even nobles and royals don't think of attacking me when I release my aura. But you are different. You were ready to pounce at me like a hungry lion and your eyes, those were the eyes of a killer, a murderer, executioner and battle-hardened warrior. And don't think I didn't notice the same look in your friends' eyes. any other day I would've killed you guys for even thinking of attacking but I have a duty to fulfill and I also want to make you my disciples," the figure said as he let out a slight chuckle.

Keith still looked at him with an intense flame in his gaze.

"Don't worry I won't kill you and if I do that Serena would kill me," he said in a friendly tone. The receptionist came from the reception table and pulled his ear. "Ouch!!" the man screamed at the top of his lungs.

"What did I tell you about using your soul aura in hospital. There are multiple sick and injured patients and you have just turned their situation from bad to worse. If you ever do that again I won't give birth to the ten children that you wanted matter of fact I cut off your balls to make it physically impossible for you to have children," she reprimanded him whilst including a few threats.

"I am very sorry honey please forgive this foolish arrogant young master," he said as he bowed to her on his knees as if he praying to a goddess for forgiveness.

Keith and his friends were baffled at the scene that was enfolding right in front of them. The person who seemed like an experienced soul fighter who had fought many horrors and strong opponents and had the scars as evidence of his countless battles was bowing down and humbling himself to a receptionist.

Merlin and Keith were able to sympathize with him though. Even they would beg for forgiveness if someone threatened to cut off their family jewels. Just thinking of the thought of someone cutting of their family jewels sent a shiver down their spines. That is fate they wouldn't wish on their worst enemies.

Shaking their heads to disperse these horrific thoughts they turned their gazes towards the man who was kneeling. The man quickly stood up and regained his composure.

"Hello kids. My name is Arthur Westorm, the bastard son of Duke John Westorm and an instructor at the Hybrid Academy. I came here to personally take you to the hybrid Academy," he introduced himself, his tone both measured, calm and angelic. He walked closer to them and pulled a steel tablet from his pocket.

The tablet had intricate runes on it that pulsed with energy. Keith stared at the runes seemingly mesmerized by the intricate on the tablets but after closely examining them, he felt these runes were inferior in some way. He couldn't quite understand why he felt the runes were inferior but he just felt that way. Soon he a verted his gaze from and shaking off whatever thoughts he had right now.

Arthur had noticed Keith scrutinizing and disappointed gaze when he looked at the runes but he decided not to ask any questions as his first priority was to get these kids to the academy.

The runes hummed to life, the white glow intensifying with each passing second. Keith couldn't see anything other than the color white. He closed his eyes for a moment and opened them a second later. What he saw caused him to be mesmerized.

His saw a long giant wall was in front him. The walls were sixty meters long and was carved from smooth but sturdy stone. The walls had intricate carving on them and Keith was able to tell with a glance that these intricate carvings were rune. Maybe their purpose was to increase the wall's defense. On top of those towers there were security cameras and something akin to machine guns attached to the wall but they seemed more advanced.

Looking at the walls, Keith couldn't help but be impressed. He wondered how much money was used for these walls alone and the amount of man power used. He could only help but wonder what the academy looked like.

Behind those walls is where their journey would and they will gain enough strength and connections to have their revenge. He smiled wickedly at the prospect of getting his revenge, he could already taste the pain and anguish the individual who killed the orphans would feel.
