Night came quietly…
It was probably way too quiet for a world that was on fire.
Danielle felt tired in a way sleep could not fix. Theo watched her from across the room. He was worried about her well-being…
Deep down, Theo blamed himself for allowing Danielle to join this revolution, but she insisted…and there was nothing else he could do.
Although he didn't interrupt her thoughts, Theo could predict what his wife was thinking. But voicing it loud would make them fight…so he kept it silent; like he always did.
He knew when to wait.
Theo walked to her slowly and stopped behind her.
"You are not alone," he spoke softly.
She closed her eyes when she heard his voice.
"I know," Danielle replied in a whisper voice. "But sometimes it feels like the world is screaming and I am standing still."
Theo reached out and placed his hands on her arms. His touch was warm, but careful.
"Let it scream," he murmured. "You already spoke."
