c52: Vegeta vs. Fat Buu
"Uhh!"
Son Goku, Son Gohan, Supreme Kai (Shin), and Kibito burst out of the wreckage of Babidi's destroyed spaceship, landing some distance away as shockwaves from the fight shook the wasteland.
"Whoa! I didn't expect Majin Buu to match Vegeta blow for blow," Goku said, wide-eyed. "That monster's power… it's unreal!"
Although he could tell Vegeta hadn't gone all out yet, the fact that Buu could withstand his fierce attacks for so long was terrifying. It was clear — Majin Buu's strength was on a completely different level from the enemies they had faced before.
"Yeah! That guy's incredible!" Gohan added, clenching his fists. "To fight Uncle Vegeta evenly like that… he's seriously powerful! Makes me want to jump in!"
Memories of his childhood battles fighting Cell, the androids, and even Frieza's soldiers flashed through his mind. Though he'd been studying most of these years, the warrior spirit within him still burned brightly.
"AHHHH!"
Vegeta roared, his Super Saiyan 2 aura exploding around him with lightning arcs crackling. In a blur, he vanished from sight and reappeared right in front of Fat Buu, slamming his knee into Buu's face before spinning and kicking him at light speed!
"SWOOOSH!"
With a sharp sound, Fat Buu's round body shot across the landscape like a cannonball, smashing through mountains and craters before finally coming to a halt, half-buried deep in the rubble.
"Unbelievable! Vegeta is incredible!" Supreme Kai gasped in awe.
He couldn't hide his relief the terrifying demon that had once threatened the entire cosmos was actually being pushed back by a single Saiyan.
"BOOM!"
Suddenly, a white burst of steam erupted from the debris. Buu's pink body emerged, his expression twisted in anger. The air trembled as his ki flared violently.
"BUU MAD!!"
Before Vegeta could react, Buu launched forward, fists stretching unnaturally to strike from multiple angles. Each punch landed like a thunderclap.
"DAMN YOU!" Vegeta shouted, countering with rapid-fire punches and energy blasts, colliding midair with the enraged monster.
The ground below shattered under the force of their battle, forming massive craters. Rocks floated upward from the sheer pressure of their ki.

Meanwhile, Goku and Gohan floated nearby, watching the intense exchange.
"This guy…" Goku muttered, rubbing the back of his head. "Vegeta could probably finish this faster, but he's too stubborn. He's testing himself again!"
Gohan nodded with a half-smile. "Typical Uncle Vegeta. Always has to prove he's stronger than everyone else."
However, the faces of Supreme Kai and Kibito remained tense. Unlike the Saiyans, they sensed the deeper truth Buu's power wasn't constant. It was still growing. Even now, with each blow, he was adapting and regenerating faster than before.
"Son Goku," Shin said quietly, his tone serious, "Vegeta may have the upper hand now, but it won't last. Majin Buu's strength is limitless. The longer he fights, the stronger he becomes."
Kibito leaned in, worry etched on his face. "Lord Supreme Kai, what should we do?"
Shin clenched his fists. "There's only one option left. We must go to the Sacred World of the Kai. There exists a divine relic the Z Sword. If someone strong enough can draw it out, it might give us the power to defeat Majin Buu once and for all."
He looked at Goku and Gohan, determination burning in his eyes. "We cannot rely solely on Vegeta's pride. If we wait too long, it may be too late for everyone."
Goku's gaze lingered on Vegeta, still battling ferociously against the regenerating Majin Buu. Though he wanted to help, he understood this was Vegeta's fight, born of pride and redemption.
As Buu's laughter echoed across the wasteland and Vegeta's aura flared like a burning star, the fate of the world hung in the balance.
After their escape from Earth, Supreme Kai (Shin) brought Son Goku and Son Gohan to the Sacred World of the Kai, leading them toward a tall mountain surrounded by divine energy. His goal was simple to see if either of them could draw out the legendary Z Sword.
"Lord Supreme Kai, are you sure you want to let these mortals try to pull out the Divine Sword?"
Kibito asked in disbelief. The sacred blade had been lodged in that mountain since time immemorial countless Supreme Kais had tried to lift it, but none succeeded.
Legends said whoever drew the sword would gain unfathomable power, enough to surpass even the gods. To Shin and Kibito, this power might be their final hope against Majin Buu.
"Yes, I'm certain," Shin said firmly. "You saw their strength for yourself, Kibito. If anyone can draw the sword, it's Goku or Gohan."
"Um, Lord Supreme Kai," Goku scratched his head. "This 'Divine Sword' you're talking about is it really that strong? You sure it can give us power great enough to stop Buu?"
Shin nodded gravely. "That's what the legend says. It's been passed down since the dawn of time. Whether it's true or not… we're about to find out."
"Wow! If it's real, then maybe we can finally destroy Majin Buu!" Gohan said, his eyes lighting up as he gazed at the sword embedded deep in the mountain's peak.
Under Shin's direction, Goku stepped forward. Gathering his energy, he grabbed the sword's hilt with both hands and, with a powerful shout, pulled the massive blade free, something no god had accomplished in millions of years.
"Whoa! This is the Z Sword, huh? It's… heavy! Lord Supreme Kai, are you sure this thing can really defeat Buu?" Goku asked, struggling to lift it.
Though Goku hadn't yet fought Buu himself, his instincts told him that if he pushed himself to Super Saiyan 3, he might win even without a weapon.
"Of course!" Kibito barked proudly. "That is the mightiest sword in existence! With it, Majin Buu will be no match for you!"
Shin smiled with confidence. "Yes, Goku. The Z Sword holds unimaginable power."
But as Goku and Gohan studied the blade more closely, they couldn't help but exchange doubtful looks. Aside from being incredibly heavy and sharp, it didn't seem particularly divine at all.
"Maybe… it just looks cool?" Goku muttered under his breath.
To test its strength, Goku decided to swing it but during his attempt, the mighty sword suddenly snapped in two. The broken pieces clattered to the ground.
"Eh!? The Divine Sword broke!?" Gohan shouted in shock.
Then, to everyone's astonishment, a strange old man suddenly emerged from the shattered hilt, yawning loudly and stretching.
"I've been sealed for fifteen generations… finally free!" the Old Supreme Kai said grumpily, brushing himself off.
After learning what had happened, the Old Kai decided to repay the favor. "I'll help you defeat Majin Buu by unlocking the hidden power within this boy!"
He pointed to Gohan. The young Saiyan blinked, unsure what to say, while Goku looked on curiously.
Since Goku's own strength was already near its limit, he remained behind, fascinated by the Old Kai's strange ritual to draw out Gohan's latent energy.
Meanwhile, back on Earth the situation had worsened.
"Damn… what's going on with this guy!?" Vegeta wiped blood from his mouth, panting heavily. Moments ago, he had overpowered Fat Buu, but now the creature's strength had skyrocketed again.
"Heh-heh… you're strong, Saiyan," Fat Buu said mockingly, his grin wide. "But you can't beat Buu!"
"You dare look down on me the Prince of Saiyans!?" Vegeta roared, his aura flaring violently. In a flash, he vanished.
"BOOM!"
Before Buu could react, Vegeta's fist smashed into his stomach, followed by a barrage of punches and a massive Final Flash that blew apart most of Buu's body.
"Hah! So this is Majin Buu? What a joke!" Vegeta sneered proudly, watching the pink mass scatter in pieces.
But his smirk quickly faded. The shredded bits of pink flesh began to wiggle, pulling together like melted gum. Within moments, Majin Buu's round body had reformed completely.
"Wha!? He… regenerated!?" Vegeta's eyes widened. "Tch… damn it! This monster's body can't be destroyed!"
