Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Capitalist Hellhole

I manifest a spear of poisoned steel. Charge it with pure malefic Yin, and hurt it at Wu Bin with an overhead swing. He melts the spear before it reaches him. But this makes things worse. As all my poisoned steel and my poison darts begin to ooze poisonous gas from the poisons melting in the heat.

Wu Bin is tense now, as he is surrounded with purple poisonous gas, as a dome of beautiful light and warmth keeps him purified.

I need to take this to the maximum I can do. And my Future Self calls out for her full potential. She shows myself as a Warrior Goddess calling upon the elements as if I'm their Master. And she shows me one of my ultimates I can utilize now.

"Call upon the Earth's poison. And light it aflame." Future Self says with cocky malice.

I raise my hands up, and feel the Earth begin to shake. When I say the Earth's Poison, I see it. The black oil the Tycoon of the future wanted me to use for cars.

"So a Capitalist's favorite tool poisons the Earth? A shame, but it pleases me. I am Poison, after all." I say with cocky malice.

Wu Bin can't resist it, he's overwhelmed. He panics, and begins begging.

"Please don't do it! It'll kill us all eventually! It isn't even supposed to be our first apocalypse!" Wu Bin yells with desperate fear.

I let the oil break through the dirt, and spill forth onto the ground. All around us, 16 torrents of oil surging up to the heavens, reaching 30 feet high, and raining down on us. Then I clap my hands together, combine Yin and Yang, and make the oil BURN!

Suddenly the heat is more intense, but it doesn't bother me.

"Welcome to the Capitalist Hellhole, Wu Bin." I say with cocky malice.

I will the flames to point themselves at Wu Bin, and begin burning him alive. He whips his hands around wildly to ward off the flames and mend his Chi shield. As he does this, something strange happens. The oil stops burning, and becomes just oil once more. And stops pointing at Wu Bin almost immediately.

I sigh annoyedly. He's countered my flames somehow. Ugh, I'm sweating now. And now a fierce wind blows through, chilling the air immediately.

"How annoying. Your willpower is extraordinary, Wu Bin. What drives you so hard?" I ask with cocky curiosity.

I see it as he begins ranting. Wu Bin is the Atlas of this reality. He holds the Earth on his shoulders, keeping it alive against everyone and everything that would dare hurt the planet. And he is choking the dirt of the Earth with his will alone to prevent the oil from spilling. I see spiritual fists clamping close the oil holes I made.

I drop down to the Earth that's thick with oil now. It's thick and slippery. I slip onto all fours when I land. Then I stand up, and point an oily hand at Wu Bin cockily.

"Let's see who wins the battle for the Earth." I say cockily.

I call for the Oil. He calls for the Earth to stop it. And now I argue with the Earth itself.

"Mother Gaea, don't you think we should pop these boils?" I ask wryly. "Doesn't this poison hurt beneath your skin? Let me burn it. I bet the worms feel pain from the oil."

The Planet ignores me. I argue with a pretty stance where I fan myself with an imaginary fan made of cash. American cash I don't own yet. The dreams of Capitalism surge up from within the oil. The great entrepreneurs speak up with a rage as the oil surges and burns.

"Humanity wants Capitalism, Wu Bin! They want the oil! They want to quit walking to work and drive a car!" I yell triumphantly.

There is a fierce wind at my back. I spread my arms wide, and bask in the glow of the Will of Humanity. Everything flows into me that is humanity.

While nature flows into Wu Bin. The grass grows brighter around him, flowers bloom. While the Earth dies around me. The emotions are complex as we need to thrive, the future craves itself to exist here and now. More than anything.

It makes me tear up a bit.

"It's a sin to hold back on what we can do. We must evolve." I say with determination.

"You bring the Earth to its end!" Wu Bin yells with divine wrath.

The roots of the planet thrust themselves out the Earth around Wu Bin, surrounding him like armor. With flowers blooming around his face as if to purify the air around it. The roots keep coming, becoming a massive giant made of roots and wood. With amber eyes, and Wu Bin's face poking out the stomach.

I point my right hand at Wu Bin, and make the oil rain down on him with flames. Water bursts out of the Giant itself to block the flames. I cross my arms in an X, and just intensify humanity's desires.

"I have seen the splendor that is humanity a thousand years from now. You hold us back from comfort, from the right to do so many wonderful things. Life is so boring compared to the future. And you hold us back from that glory. Cities built with electricity. Instant communication. Instant entertainment. Instant food. And you ruin all of it by holding us back, Wu Bin." I argue with cocky malice.

The oil crosses streams all at one, becoming an orb of oil over Wu Bin's head. And above the oil are spiritual men and women in suits. They have no faces as they aren't born yet. But they all order the same thing.

"Fire him."

"Yes Boss." I reply warmly.

The oil drips down on Wu Bin. It is boiling. It reaches through his Chi and burns his shoulder. He tries wiping it off, but it doesn't work at all. It just sticks to his hand. The oil quickly engulfs him, and then it all just collapses. The poison finally melts into him with the burning oil. He begins convulsing heavily as he struggles to survive.

Sunlight rains heavily down on him with bright beams. Flowers boom and burn within seconds. Mother Gaea fights for her son, but Wu Bin dies.

I pull out my pistols, and fire into his burning corpse with all four pistols. Then holster them.

The flowers stop blooming. The mines just burn now. And Wu Bin is dead.

I command the oil to stop spilling from the Earth for now. It happens with ease. I order a root to come out the Earth, and it's just as easily. Without Wu Bin, my control over the Earth has grown a lot due to the lack of resistance.

I am extremely pleased with this.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

A few hours have passed since the incident. And it has caused quite a stir. Wu Bin was a God in his own right. Blessed by Gaea. And it is beginning to become clear. The grass around my home has died. Only my house. And Mother Nature herself fights me.

She's failing. She bloomed nightshade outside my bedroom. I just laughed. I'm already poison, Gaea. Give up.

I quickly realize that unless becomes proactive like with Wu Bin, all she can do is try to poison me. What a laughable thing to try.

It stops being funny when my shop is filled with vines. And I wake up to one choking me in my sleep. I have to cover my finger in sharp metal, and saw through the vine to get out. I searched the area to find Wu Bin's followers doing prayers for Gaea to kill me outside my home.

We fought, I killed them with ease. Poison and move on. Now I'm in a war with Gaea. And the way to win is obvious.

I make the oil condense and form an underground lake beneath my shop in a three mile radius. I make sure it's a bit near the surface so it kills the roots of all plants. It takes an hour of channeling, but it's done.

And it's useful cause now oil is close to me so I can call oil for devices when necessary. With oil, my automatic grinders have been working splendidly. And we've used the same technology and a metal frame to make what the future calls a go-cart.

I let Qian Yu test drive it first.

"Oh, you're such a nice boss! Thanks!" she says happily.

She drives it down the hill by the shop, and ends up crashing it. It was funny, she flew ten feet after she crashed. I caught her using roots I summoned from the ground with ease, and carried her to the ground safely.

Then I drove it after a brief repair to the frame. It was a fun but calm ride. Nobody seemed more than perplexed by my device. Until an Old Daoist Priest yelled at me.

"Your damn machine is too loud! Quiet it down or I'll break it!" he yells angrily.

"Yes, sir." I say guiltily.

I drove it home slowly to avoid being too loud with it.

With a go-cart made, my goals for cars were to make them faster, able to support heavy loads, put weaponry on them, and make it quieter.

I just made thicker metal frames to help with it supporting heavy loads. That worked well.

Then I decided to make a vehicle weapon. So I added a bunch of spikes to the go-cart. Or tried to.

"Please don't make a murder machine, or we'll quit." Wu Bao says sadly.

My workers surrounded me with fear and sadness as I worked on my death machine. So I sighed sadly, and-

"Finnneee. No murder machines." I groan bitterly.

I need a secret room for my special projects like this murder machine.
