Yuhan and Zixuan stood facing each other awkwardly, neither knowing what to say.
"Loosen the suit," Zixuan finally said, breaking the silence as he stepped closer.
Yuhan jerked back before Zixuan could reach him.
"What?" Yuhan blinked.
"You'll need to loosen it. It's your first day of work," Zixuan said simply.
Then, with a nod toward the desk, "Get settled in."
He turned away and unlocked his office door with the ID card hanging around his neck.
Yuhan watched him disappear inside, still thinking of the overly formal, heavily dressed Zixuan from the CEO event. This version felt… different.
He sat behind his own desk, organized the files Su Mei had sent, and reviewed Zixuan's schedule once more. A few minutes later, the office phone rang.
"Mr. Liang?"
"Zixuan?" Yuhan answered before he could stop himself.
A soft chuckle drifted through the line.
"It's either Sir or Mr. Chen when we're at work, okay?" Zixuan said gently—too gently—making Yuhan stutter before replying.
