"Please stop," he repeated, grabbing Li Hao's hand and gently pulling him back. They closed the distance between them, Wang Lai's gaze steady on Li Hao's.
"Why are you doing this? Yuhan is busy — let me drive you home. It'll make things less stressful for both of us," he said, his tone soft, though the weight of his words lingered heavy.
Wang Lai could see the hesitation in Li Hao's eyes as he faltered, gaze shifting away, as if he was aware of his effect on li hao. His hand clutched Wang Lai's shirt like he needed it to stay upright.
