Avelina stepped out of the hallway and walked through the crowd, wondering what had made her say those words.
'Ave, you should have just ended at the part where your husband would hear about it. Why did you add more pepper to the boiling water?' she scolded herself so harshly in her head.
She had no idea why she kept going, but it seemed she had just been angry—angry at herself for feeling this way. It wasn't like she liked him or anything.
So why? She was planning to get a divorce anyway. But just as she was about to move toward the stairs, she was stopped.
A man wearing a smooth black suit and a crisp white shirt, accompanied by a bow tie, spoke.
"Mr. Zauriel suggested you go home, as you have exams tomorrow. It would not be advisable to stay so long."
