Avelina sat at the dining chair as she stared at the dessert. They were of different colors based on fruits and all kinds. She was now wearing a nightgown, of course, which belonged to her best friend Roxie.
As expected, it was extremely short—way above her thighs. She wondered where Roxie was; how seeing somebody off had turned into minutes of waiting, she couldn't tell.
She had taken a quick shower, gotten dressed, and was now about to take the snacks. And yet, here she was—still waiting for her.
Just as she moved to touch the snacks, the door opened, and there stood Xie. Her face was slightly flushed, and she seemed to be gasping softly for breath. Avelina raised a brow in surprise as she stared at her; the book from earlier was now in her hand.
"Xie, don't tell me you—" Avelina didn't finish her sentence as she waited for her best friend to deny it, but she didn't. Instead, her face flushed even more. Avelina's hands flew to her mouth.
