"UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS NOT AN OPTION, DAXTON NYX!! IN THE ETERNAL REALM EVERYONE MUST BELONG TO A FACTION OR BE REMOVED!" The commentator said in a low voice
Dax smiled, "Then how about I make a new faction?"
The crowd gasped.
"EXCUSE ME?" the commentator warned
A heavy pressure enveloped the arena and some audience members fell to their knees. Dax's smile fade and emotion slipped out of his eyes.
"Wouldn't that be fun everyone?" Dax's voice echoed "Something new to spice up your day? Will we fail or succeed?"
The pressure was forgotten and captivated by the words coming toward them.
"If you want that it can happen, it could be arranged and I'm more than willing." Dax told softly "You deserve to enjoy yourselves."
"HE'S RIGHT! WE'VE HAVE THE SAME FACTIONS FOR YEARS NOW!!" A voice erupted
Like the floodgates opened, more complaints about needed something new and how predictable the trails and/or challenges had became. The more they spoke the angrier they became and harsher the words spoken.
"SILENCE!" the commentator shouted
Clouds formed in the sky and turbulent winds swept through. A thin smile spread over Dax's face with only his red eye visible. His eye was bright and the joy within them couldn't be explained with words.
"YOU NEED FOUR MEMBERS EXCLUDING THE LEADER TO FORM A FACTION!" The commentator informed
Dax snapped out of his mood and grabbed Atlas hand.
"One." he said
Atlas whispered, "Do I have a choice?"
"I gave you that on the island." he told
Atlas frowned, "No...wasn't that a threat."
Dax ignored him and turned his gazed to the other contestants. Although he maintained a passive expression, facts were sliding through is mind like a presentation and the odds weren't in his favor.
"We'll join."
A towering man, even taller than Atlas stood in front of Dax and he gave a inviting smile with soft eyes.
"Welcome." he said to him and the man hidden behind his build
Luckily two more people joined and Dax let out a sigh of relief...he hated gambling but some things just need to be done.
"AFTER HEARING ALL THE COMPLAINTS i WAS SAD....SO STARTING TODAY WE WILL REFREASH EVERYTHING!!" the commentator told
The crowds cheered happily and the faces of those in faction became more gloomy with eyes of fear.
"PLEASE NAME YOUR FACTION. BE AWARE THAT ONE OF THE NEW ADDITION IS FACTION BENEFITS AND DISADVANTAGES RANDOMLY SELECTED, PLEASE ENJOY!" The commentator said smugly
Dax thought for a moment and a mischievous smirk bloomed on his face.
"Crazed Faction." Dax laughed
Atlas frowned in horror, "NO!"
"WELCOME CRAZED FACTION! YOU WILL BE RANKED TWENTY-FIRST AND WE WISH YOU ALL THE BEST! NOW TIME FOR DAXTON NYX TO CHOOSE A REWARD FOR BEING FIRST!" the commentator spat out laced with anger
Dax browsed through the option and hid from Atlas glare behind the towering man. He made a selection secretly and everything went back on track.
"What did you pick." Atlas interrogated
Dax told, "An island without a description."
"...."
Atlas sighed deeply and held his head. He cursed himself of the past for bucked under the little tyrants pressure. They were teleported to a large, dense forest and in front of them was a run down four storey house that looked like it may collapse soon.
"Welcome to our home. Abyss Island." Dax smiled
Atlas smiled, "If an accident happens, will I become leader?"
"Well, you're my vice so I guess so." Dax answered seriously
Atlas looked at the other four members and told, "Welcome to our sinking ship, I'm Atlas Kingston ordinary human being with combat training and other things."
"Daxton Nyx, just call me Dax. Human....ordinary? Maybe depending on your criteria though." Dax beamed
The towering man smiled, "Noah Sweets, a bear beastkin nice to meet you. This is my friend a mantis beastkin, Ethan Rowen."
"Pleasure to meet you. I don't have a surname, just Blake." a lean man answered with a small smile
Another teenager frowned, "Quill..."
Dax smiled, "Nice to meet you all. So let's get started!"
"With?" they asked
Dax answered, "Building our home. We'll tear down that safety hazard and make a new one."
"Do you even know what you're doing?" Quill frowned
Quill was lean but not muscular in any way. It was as though he hadn't done a day of work in his life. Vibrant deep red hair with brown eyes and if Dax focused he'd notice a splash of navy underneath.
"I studied architecture once upon a time." Dax told while drawing the plans on the sand
Atlas was amazed, "Why?"
"....I had a lot of free time." Dax smiled with gloomy eyes
Atlas urged everyone to start working. After Several hours of nitpicking by the architect, a stunning five floor building and three story warehouse stood before the tired men.
"We...can rest!" Blake smiled
Dax laughed, "You said anything about that? We're going shopping next, we have a trail tomorrow."
A portal sucked the unwilling individuals and they landed in tailor. Dax explained to them many things. As long as a person was a resident/contestant within the Eternal Realms, only old age or natural complication were the leading cause of death.
"So that's why everyone you burnt was still okay." Atlas sighed
Someone pushed Dax against the wall and he glared at the woman.
"You're the cause of this!" The woman yelled
Dax smiled, "Of what? Can't I shop in peace?"
"YOU MESSED WITH THE TRAILS AND CHALLENGES!" She screamed
Dax answered, "Are you saying the audience need me, a newbie, to get what they want?"
The woman looked around at the people glaring at her. Before they were smiling happily expecting a show but who knew this contestant was bad-mouthing them?!
"From what I understood, I am hurt. The audience are not obligated to listen to my every whim because they have minds of their own...unless you have different thoughts?" Dax said loudly
The crowd was boiling with anger now! Wasn't this woman just saying that they were stupid and that was when the string of sanity snapped. They hurled whatever they could find at the woman as Dax slipped way toward his faction.
"You're like a storm." Ethan commented
Dax answered, "No one has every called me that! It's refreshing."
Dax turned to his members his face transformed into a serious expression with determined eyes.
"We barely made it with 1058 medals mostly due to Atlas and I obtaining second and first place. You are allowed to forfeit, it just reduces your medals but the threshold to be a Faction is 1050." Dax began
His eyes began cold and the air around was chilling. Quill fought back the instinct to hide somewhere for the aggressive leader.
"Below that." Dax whispered with a kind smile "You get expelled, but this Realm must stay a secret thus....dead men tell no tales."
Blake smiled back, "Then we'll win."
The aura vaporized and a innocent smile was on Dax's face.
He beamed, "That's the spirit. Let's get some gear, skills...."
Dax began walking in front of them noting down what they needed on a screen hovering beside him. The members sighed in relief.
"Well...that happened." Blake said
Atlas sighed, "Hurry up or we'll lose our mad leader."
"The Faction name might not be so bad!" Noah laughed
Dax turned his gaze down an alley with a calculating gaze and decided to ignore the eavesdropper because they had a lot to buy.
