Chapter 7 - Chapter Seven

The Crazed Faction were teleported back to Abyss Island.

"I...I'm going to bed." Dax said while pulling himself up

Atlas groaned, "Order glasses."

Noah in bear form crashed on the sofa and soft snoring was heard seconds later.

Unaware to them their performance was becoming more famous with every second. A debate on whether to call the geniuses or madmen?

Dax curled in his blankets and blanked out ignoring the notifications on his screen. The two feline-like creatures who hid under the bed came out and slept by his sides.

Several hours later Atlas came and dragged his body out of bed. The felines tried to attack but their small stature were no match for his vice. He was taken to the living room where the others looked as unwilling as he did.

"Why...why am I here?" Blake yawned

Atlas frowned, "You've slept enough. we need to get you treated."

Quill's loud snore interrupted his word and Ethan slapped him awake. If we must suffer than we will together! Atlas patched them up with surprisingly high efficiency. A screen appeared in front of Dax as petted the felines.

Noah commented, "You should give those two names! What have you been calling them?"

"He's not listening...did you get a message?" Ethan responded

Dax shrugged, "Something about a welcoming party, I refused though. Since we're all awake, shall we scout the island?"

They looked at the leader for a moment but agreed. They needed to move their bodies anyway.

Abyss Island was completely dark and gloomy as the name suggested. During the day it was bright with vibrant color similar to any nature rich forest. Although during the night, the flora turn black, grey or mixture paired with a thick fog.

"Now that I have you attention!" Dax smiled, "We have a trial in three hours plus-minus."

Noah asked, "What's the difference anyway?"

"I researched about that. So challenges will included the other factions. The type, time or difficulty is random for example next time we may only two factions tasked with defending a castle and that's it." Dax began

Atlas nodded, "And trial?"

"It's only for our faction the chances of meeting another one are low. It quite normal, the gradually difficulty increases with each trial." Dax smiled

Quill interrupted, "There's strange mana energy from that cave."

They followed his lead and found a large door.

"It's a dungeon." Blake told them "We also have them in my planet. Unlike back home, it first come first serve."

They looked at his with silent questioning eyes.

Blake confessed, "I saw it while browsing online and was interested. Is that so wrong?

Dax opened the fanbase and several screens surrounded them. He adjusted them to cover every angle of the members and himself.

"Why are you so serious about this broadcasting thing?" Ethan asked

Dax sighed, "It's our only source of income. Most faction get money from high leveled trials, missions from residents and if their lucky successful businesses. But that's a privilege for veterans and good things cost money!"

"Breathe" Atlas snapped

Dax shut his eyes thinking about the faction bank balance and felt his heart ache terribly. He let out a breathe of air and the aura around his softened.

"Any more questions?" he smiled with a warning gaze

Blake pressed the 'livestream' button and dozens of people joined in.

[ Comments:

CrazedFan: NOAH HI!!!

Twotailed: What are you doing? No wait...Thank you for the livestream!]

"It seems I'm a fan favorite." Noah laughed

Blake ignored the bear, "So we found a dungeon. Let's open it up."

Dax and Atlas pushed the door open and saw hordes of zombies underneath. The group saw another door at the end of the hallway of undead.

"Hmm, we have a trial soon. We need to do speed run." Dax suggested

Ethan said, "Or..."

They followed his line of sight to Quill. The comments were erupting in rebellion at their united idea and started sending donations for them to stop.

"Quill...have you ever fought in your life?" Dax smiled innocently

He answered, "No. My world was peaceful, the last war was probably hundreds-"

Blake kicked the teenager done into the pit.

[ Quill's Supporter: NO!! WHY ARE YOU SO CRUEL TO OUR QUILL!]

"He needs a backbone." Blake answered

Quill shut his eyes and fired a blast of water. They looked helplessly at him and some felt a pang of guilt.

"We can't carry him forever." Atlas frowned "So why do I feel so bad?"

Dax answered, "I don't. I think it's because in our eyes Quill is like an egg and we tossed it."

"Weird but strangely accurate analogy." Blake chuckled "Quill, use fire. It will take ages for them to decompose if you do that. And open your eyes!"

Quill rolled to the left and blast a fireball. Although the aim was off and it landed on a ground. The teenager started running in zigzags while tossing flames behind him. The zombies shuffled after him with groans.

"Has he not noticed that they're weak?" Ethan wondered

Dax laughed, "I read rabbits run like that to avoid predators."

Dax nodded and Blake pulled Quill backward. He was forced to face the incoming undead and a hiccup echoed which rendered them speechless. The teenager made several flame tornadoes, turned all the zombies to ash and burnt the edges of his clothes in the process.

"That was sad." Noah frowned

They jumped in. Blake use telekinesis to collect colored stones on the floor, Quill hiccupped continuously as he followed the group to the door. The next floor was filled with Rock Golems with several glowing grey stones on their bodies.

"I'm up! Wish me luck!"

[ CrazedFan: GO GET THEM!!]

Noah's shield bashed into the golems with destructive intent. He held one end with his right hand and used it like a very broad spear. The clumsy monster couldn't defend against his blows. When they managed to attack, Noah used his left hand to raise it up to defend.

They pushed through the dust and toward the third floor entrance. The area was different: completely frozen with grey-blue lizards everywhere.

"Shall we vote?" Dax shivered

Atlas sighed and load his gun. His aim was precise without a hint of hesitation and caused the lizards to scampered around alarm. Their vice targeted them down and delivered killing shots.

"Happy?" he asked everyone as he jumped down

Dax and Noah slid around on the floor with infectious laughter while Blake levitated his body. Ethan pulled the two troublemakers to the fourth floor. It was dark with cobwebs everywhere and hidden within were beady-eyed purple spiders.

Ethan jumped in, transforming into his praying mantis form and slashed through everything quickly. The group followed behind him and the monsters couldn't compete with his reaction speed.

"This must be the fastest floor clearing yet." Blake smiled

The fifth floor was dimly lit and a single giant black snake was in the center. Behind it was a golden door unlike the previous brown ones they've been using. Blake prepared to enter but Dax gripped his arm strongly.

The energy radiated off him could be felt through the livestream and everyone including the members unconsciously back up except the captured Blake. The snake's eyelids opened and revealed purple irises.

"That...is mine." he said in low menacing voice
