Chapter 5 - Chapter Five

"How's Quill doing?" Atlas asked

Noah sighed, "Not getting up any time soon. I'll carry him, so Blake what's this plan?"

"Wait." Dax interrupted

Faction fanbase, sometimes a person will like a certain faction among all of them. They wish to support them or watch them trials or challenges without disruption from the main viewing screens which must show all faction equally. Sadly this fanbase is under the absolute control of the Faction members.

On the Crazed Fanbase, Dax smiled as he mute the their conversation. The viewers screamed as Blakes lips were moving quickly and Atlas eyes widened in shock or maybe amazement. Ethan and Noah both nodded in agreement and Dax with sad eyes said something but nodded too.

Unmuted

"So...we're all in agreement." Blake looked at Dax

The teenager frowned, "I heard you the first time. Let's go!"

Except for Noah who carried Quill, the others split up in different directions.

Quill opened his eyes, moved around anxiously and Noah covered his mouth. The teenager met Noah's amused yet kind gaze.

"Take some deep breathes okay?" Noah told

Quill nodded in understanding and did some deep breathing techniques he knew. Noah hovered around him with concern until he was confident that Quill was calmer.

"Sorry about Ethan...beastkin are wired differently. No one we know reacts like you did so we're not so sure what to do." Noah sighed

Quill answered," You don't need to defend him. I know I might have over reacted."

"You didn't....according what I read. Just go at your own pace, you'll get a hang of it if you keep moving forward." Noah smiled

Noah glanced down for a moment and Quill gagged for a moment. Noah just watched as a woman on a horse arrived.

"WHAT HAPPENED HERE!!" She asked the sole survivor

The teen coughed, "He...he said his higher ups want to monopolize the medals..."

"Damn it! It must be those disgusting Firestorm members!" the woman screamed

Noah whispered, "All good things take time. Until then we'll need to handle it for you."

He looked screens with comments from the fans and remembered something that Dax told them to do.

"Hello, everyone." he whispered "A tank to be wary of, Noah Sweets at your service. And my youngest member, Quill. We need to get going now."

There was an eruption of notification but Noah muted them and prepared to go to the next location.

At the same time

Another group of some contestants dropped down with foaming. Their comrades were forced to burn the entire area.

"Poison Faction has become bold!" a man snapped

Ethan watched the scene quietly from the shadows. He spun a needle in his hand and observed the chaos below.

"This should be enough. I should attack the next camp and meet up with Noah." He thought

He looked at the screens but decided not to introduce himself as Dax instructed. It was a waste of time.

In other location the Crazed members were creating discord and soon the Factions started to clash with each other. Too angry to engage in any form of communication to clear up the misunderstanding.

Dax watched the fights with a bored expression. It was an effective plan sadly their was no form of entertainment and he was forced to restrain his thrill-seeking thoughts. He instinctive rolled to the left as dust spread everywhere because of something?

The teenager pulled out his glasses from his storage, put them on and looked at the team in front of him. A beautiful woman with ruby eyes and bright ginger hair paired with an expressionless face. What actually caught his attention was her gaze....she knew who he was!

"I'm in so much trouble." he chuckled sadly

The woman holding a megaphone yelled to the fighting contestants.

"I FOUND DAXTON NYX ENJOYING OUR LITTLE SHOW LIKE A KING!!!" The words echoed

Dax throw his glasses which exploded. When the smoke cleared he was gone.

"What now, Jess?" the man smirked

Jess frowned, "Get them expelled. This will be their first and last challenge!"

Dax narrowly jumped over some enemies but dagger was thrown into his thigh. His scythe slashed incoming spear wielder and bummed into a twin sword user. He pulled the woman's wrist and forced her weapon into her throat.

He looked at the river of more foes coming his way and continued his run of survival. His destination was the meet up point, he knew everyone else would be running just like he was. Dax throw himself into muddy waters with a look of disgust and sunk down.

"Where'd he go!" A voice yelled in anger

Another voice answered, "He couldn't have gone far. His thigh's injured."

"I'm going to be here a while." Dax thought until he saw someone he knew

Blake panted heavily and wiped the blood of his cheek.

"This is definitely Boss' fault, I can feel it." he snarled

He managed to slip away from his admirers and finally get some personal space with several spheres levitated around him. Blake ripped his trouser leg, tied it around the wound on his shoulder and winced in pain.

The other wounds were seemed to inferior so he decided they didn't need care and leaned on the stone behind him. His spheres advanced toward his left side although were deflected by a shield. The teen advanced revealing a sword in his other hand.

Blake's body moved on its own. Pulling out a shotgun from his storage and firing forward with his eyes shut. Luckily even with no experience, he managed to deal a killing shot from a such a close distance. He was relieved-

Cold metal touch his temple and a rough hand shoved it fingers into his shoulder wound.

"Where are they others?" a gruff voice demanded

Blake chuckled, "How would I know? Sadly we're very shy and can't handle all this attention you're sending our way."

The elderly man pushed Blake against the stone and pushed the barrel of his gun under his chin.

"You think we're idiots? Even though you're trying to act random we know you're all going to the same place. If you tell me, we can save you from expulsion." he offered

Blake smiled, "I'm a telekinetic, Blake....regardless of how I look, I'm not a traitor."

He received a blow on his wound that made him gasp for air. His mind was in disarray making it impossible to concentrate and use telekinesis on his iron spheres.

The elderly prepared to continue the torture until he got answers. He raised his left arm and found his hand missing.

"What made you think this was a good idea?" a voice whispered into his ear "Idiot"

Blood splattered everywhere and Blake slumped down taking in heavy breaths. Although pain was coursing through his body his lips arched into a smirk.

"I have a plan." he laughed "Let's clean up your mess!"
