Chapter 220 - 《DXD: Transfer Student》Chapter 219: Leg Man

"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 219: Leg Man

Draconis Yi stepped through the front door. Rias and the others were still up, lounging in the living room, the air thick with curiosity.

He hadn't even set down his bag before the questions started flying.

"So? What was that summoning all about?"

"Five faith contracts at once—seriously, how does that even happen?"

He explained, giving them the rundown on the Nakano quintuplets.

Rias groaned, half exasperated, half amused.

"So now you've got five more human girls to spoil? Honestly, you're too popular for your own good…"

Akeno grinned, her eyes sparkling.

"Ara ara, maybe that's why Draconis Yi keeps landing faith contracts. Love makes believers, after all."

Draconis Yi raised an eyebrow, thoughtful.

"Maybe you're right… If love means absolute trust, that's probably the key to faith contracts."

He paused, recalling Yor Forger—his one true outlier. She'd signed a contract with him out of pure, unfiltered trust, her innocence almost comical.

Rias nodded slowly, considering.

"When you think about it, every girl who's signed with you is head over heels for you. Maybe that's the secret."

Xenovia leaned forward, eyes bright.

"Wait, does that mean we've cracked the code for faith contracts?"

Rias rolled her eyes.

"Even if we have, it's just a shortcut. Doesn't exactly help me personally."

Asia blinked, confused.

"Why not, President?"

Rias sighed. The little nun still didn't get it.

Akeno nudged Rias, teasing.

"Because loving and trusting each other is almost impossible for most devils. Our president here—well, except for a certain someone in this room, she finds every other man insufferable."

Rias shot her a glare.

"Oh, and you're any different, Akeno? Asia, do you think you'll ever fall for anyone besides Draconis Yi?"

Asia answered instantly, earnest as ever.

"No way… I only like Draconis Yi. And all of you, too…"

Rias laughed, brushing off the last part.

"There you go. Asia still doesn't really get romance."

She pursed her lips.

"Anyway, looks like faith contracts aren't worth obsessing over. But if we spread this discovery, maybe it'll help the devil race as a whole…"

Draconis Yi chuckled.

"You realize that might lead to a bunch of devil-human kids running around? Think the old guard will be thrilled?"

Rias snorted.

"Not my problem. Besides, I hate all that pure-blood nonsense."

She fell quiet, remembering how those outdated traditions nearly forced her into a loveless marriage. If Draconis Yi hadn't intervened… She didn't even want to imagine it.

He saw the shadow cross her face and slipped an arm around her, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.

Rias was flawless—no matter how you looked at her.

A face that turned heads, a figure that stopped hearts. Kuoh Academy's undisputed queen.

Strict, yes, but warm and fiercely protective. She treated her Peerage like family.

No wonder every young devil in the Underworld ground their teeth at Draconis Yi.

Some hated his endless string of victories.

Most just envied him for winning Rias Gremory's heart.

Akeno stood, smoothing her skirt.

"I'll go report all this to Lord Lucifer."

Rias nodded, then gave Draconis Yi a sly smile.

"I'm off to take a bath. Care to join me?"

He didn't hesitate. "Love to."

It wasn't their first time sharing a soak.

After scrubbing each other down, they settled side by side on the edge of the wide, steaming pool—magically heated, almost like a private hot spring.

"Hot…" Rias murmured, dipping her elegant feet into the water and swirling it with her toes. Droplets slid down her pale, perfect skin.

Draconis Yi stretched out, resting his head on her thighs.

He loved Rias's legs—soft, warm, endlessly inviting.

She stroked his hair, fingers gentle, full of affection.

"Sooner or later, you'll be promoted to High-Class Devil," Rias said suddenly.

When that happened, he'd get his own set of Evil Pieces—his own Peerage. He'd become a King, just like her.

Draconis Yi gazed up at her, his head pillowed on her lap.

"Even if I get my own Peerage, I'll still fight for you whenever you call."

Rias smiled, brushing his cheek.

"You'll always be mine. But when you become King, you'll want to reincarnate those human girls, right?"

"Yeah. If they become devils, they won't have to worry about short human lifespans."

Rias's brow furrowed.

"But have you thought about their potential? They might not be suited for battle. What about the Rating Games?"

She kneaded his scalp, concern softening her voice.

"Even so, you'd still choose them?"

Other devils recruited geniuses—Sacred Gear wielders, prodigies.

But Draconis Yi just smiled.

"I've thought about it. But I don't need them to fight. I just need to be the strongest King."

As long as the King stayed on the field, the game wasn't lost.

So what was there to worry about?

Rias stared at him, then laughed.

"You really are confident…"

He grinned back. "Don't think I can pull it off?"

She kissed him, her smile gentle.

"No… I know you can."

He leaned in, pressing her down against the bath's edge, and let their worries dissolve in the steam and closeness.
