"And you… aren't going back?" Blaze asked softly.
"No," Cecilia replied. "I already had a video call with my dad. In a few days, Marylin and I are going skiing in Alaska."
Marylin was an orphan, taken in as a child by the clark couple, who later died unexpectedly, leaving her a huge inheritance.
This time, it just so happened that Cecilia's plans coincided with Marylin's during the New Year.
Blaze paused for a long moment, then gently removed the towel from her head and nudged her slightly. "Get up. You're dry now."
Cecilia froze, stiffly sitting up in his arms, her heart secretly hoping he would say more.
