When Blaze pushed the door open, he immediately saw the scene before him. His sharp eyes narrowed, and he set down his luggage before rushing over.
"Cecilia, Cecilia!"
The woman's cheeks were unusually flushed. He had no idea how long she had been leaning against the fridge, her hands icy cold while her body burned with fever. Blaze lifted her onto the sofa. Calling her name several times didn't wake her, and panic began to rise.
She leaned against him like a small cat, her frail body curled into a tiny bundle. Her pale, colorless lips made his chest ache, and for the first time, Blaze couldn't even find the words to scold. Flustered, he hurriedly poured her some water and searched for medicine.
"Ugh…"
After a while, the woman stirred, furrowing her brows and letting out a soft whimper. Seeing the opportunity, Blaze carefully placed the capsule into her mouth and followed it with some warm water.
