"Thank you, hahaha." Diluc's face lit up with joy as he held the deck in his hands.
From his merchant friends, he had once heard that someone in Liyue Harbor had drawn a [Swordsoul] Deck—its design based on famous blades, each card looking impressively stylish.
So... Diluc had long wanted a deck of his own.
Perhaps it was fate calling to him. That day, when Diluc happened to visit his Mondstadt property to review his assets, he encountered Luya—and received this [Destiny HERO] Deck.
Holding the Hero Deck, Diluc felt a surge of excitement rise from deep within his soul.
Smiling at Diluc's gratitude, Luya replied, "Haha, think nothing of it, Master Diluc. You gifted me a shop—how could I thank you enough?"
...
Amber, watching this scene, couldn't help feeling a twinge of envy. To own a personal deck like that—it was a dream come true.
At Windrise, she had already seen Luya summon a Monster. Just imagining what it would feel like to control and summon Monsters herself made her heart race.
Though she had always enjoyed playing Genius Invokation TCG, it couldn't compare to this—to cards that could bring forth real, physical summons.
Amber was already far more enchanted by Yu-Gi-Oh! than by Genius Invokation.
"By the way, my new friend," Diluc said, still energized, "when do you plan to open your shop? If you need any help, just let me know—I have some connections here in Mondstadt."
His excitement from receiving the deck hadn't faded in the slightest. In truth, Diluc seemed even more eager about the shop opening than Luya himself!
After all, Diluc had heard that in Liyue, people could freely use Duel Disks or Duel Stages to battle in person. The thought of it set his blood alight.
If not for his duties at Dawn Winery keeping him in Mondstadt, he would have rushed to Liyue himself to experience the thrill of summoning Monsters in reality.
But now, before he could even make the trip, Luya had brought the shop—and Yu-Gi-Oh!—to Mondstadt.
That alone was enough to make Diluc genuinely ecstatic.
Hearing his offer of assistance, Luya smiled and said, "I appreciate the thought, Master Diluc, but setting up shop is simple enough. I can handle it."
Diluc nodded in understanding and said no more.
"Oh, come on, let Master Diluc help you!" Amber interjected. "You're new to Mondstadt, after all—you don't know your way around! With his help, you'll get the place renovated faster, and the supplies delivered too!"
Amber, chattering on, seemed more worried about Luya's store than he was himself. She was certain that with Diluc's help, things would progress far quicker. After all, it was natural for someone from Liyue to be unfamiliar with Mondstadt's workings.
Just as Amber was about to continue persuading him, the entire shop suddenly began to shake.
Boom—!!
"Waaah! Is that an earthquake?!" Amber yelped, darting about in alarm as the noise startled her.
Diluc, startled as well, tensed and was about to rush outside to help evacuate citizens when—the tremor stopped.
Then...
The once-dilapidated shop had completely transformed.
Its walls gleamed anew, the space clean and bright, the decor now seamlessly incorporating Mondstadt's western architectural flair.
Diluc and Amber stood frozen in disbelief.
"This... how did you do that?!" Amber gaped at Luya, shoulders slumped in shock.
Even the ever-composed Diluc was left speechless.
How had such a transformation been possible?
Luya had, in truth, just spent fifty million Mora in the system to convert the gifted shop into his Mondstadt branch.
The system's Branch Shop Function required fifty million Mora to unlock, and once opened, it granted foundational features such as store expansion and automatic card pack production.
[Ding! Congratulations, Host.]
[You have successfully opened your first branch in Mondstadt.]
[In Mondstadt, you may now summon Monster projections without needing a Duel Disk or Duel Stage.]
Hearing this small perk, Luya found it rather trivial—after all, he could already summon real Monsters. Projected ones didn't impress him much.
[Limited-time mission unlocked.]
[Hold a Duel in Mondstadt's central plaza!]
[Reward: 50 million Mora.]
Luya glanced at the system reward and shrugged. It wasn't particularly useful, but holding a public Duel in the city square would certainly draw attention—a perfect way to promote his new store.
However, a Duel required two participants.
He turned toward Diluc, who was still staring in amazement, and smiled. "Master Diluc, care to have a Duel with me?"
"Hahaha, of course!" Diluc laughed, delighted. He still didn't understand how Luya had transformed the ruined shop so suddenly; however, as someone who had read the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga, he knew well what a Duel meant.
"So then... how do we Duel? On a table, like Genius Invokation?" Diluc asked curiously, eyes full of anticipation for something greater.
"Haha, not quite that simple," Luya replied with a grin.
He reached into his system inventory and produced a Duel Disk, handing it to Diluc.
The moment Diluc saw it, he understood.
This was the device that could bring the cards' Monsters to life.
Excitement coursed through him as he accepted the Duel Disk.
Amber, watching, couldn't hide her admiration.
"That's so cool!" she exclaimed.
