Diluc met Luya's gaze, and as he listened to Luya's words, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. This young man seemed far from ordinary.
As the owner of Mondstadt's largest winery, Dawn Winery, Diluc had met countless people. Though Luya appeared young, there was an unmistakable confidence about him—the kind only true businessmen possessed. Diluc had a feeling this youth might really be capable of creating a business that could change Mondstadt.
"So then... what kind of business are you planning?" Diluc asked curiously, his eyes fixed on Luya.
"Master Diluc, have you ever heard of a pastime called Yu-Gi-Oh!?" Luya said with a chuckle, winking at him before stepping into the abandoned shop.
At the mention of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Diluc's eyes lit up instantly. He hurried after Luya.
As Mondstadt's wealthiest man, Diluc was a seasoned entrepreneur. From time to time, he corresponded with merchants from other nations. Not long ago, he had already learned of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s existence. He had even purchased several hundred card packs from Snezhnayan traders for research and spent over two million Mora on a beautifully printed Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.
The artwork alone had left him awestruck—the monster depicted on the cover radiated a dangerous presence that seemed to pierce his heart with just a glance. Beyond that, the story itself fascinated him. However, one thing had greatly frustrated Diluc: the manga had ended abruptly! The plot cut off right as the protagonist, Yugi Muto, was about to draw the final sealed Dark Magician to turn the duel around.
Because of this, Diluc had spent a fortune trying to acquire the latter half of the manga, but no matter how he searched, he could not obtain it. Though he reasoned that, as the protagonist, Yugi would surely draw the fifth piece and win, not seeing it with his own eyes left him feeling incomplete.
So when Luya mentioned the words "Yu-Gi-Oh!," Diluc couldn't help but feel a thrill. He had even heard from merchant friends that Yu-Gi-Oh! originated from a card shop in Liyue Harbor. Yet, as the master of Dawn Winery, Diluc could not easily leave Mondstadt to travel there.
Some time ago, he had also spent over a million Mora on Yu-Gi-Oh! scratch cards from a Snezhnayan trader—and struck gold, pulling [Destiny HERO - Plasma]!
Gazing at [Destiny HERO - Plasma], Diluc had felt a strange sense of fate in the card. Its black-and-red design matched his aesthetic perfectly. Although he had never visited Liyue to learn more about Yu-Gi-Oh!, his passion for the game remained undiminished.
...
Soon, Amber and Diluc followed Luya into the abandoned shop.
"Could it be... you're planning to open a shop selling Yu-Gi-Oh!-related products?" Diluc asked excitedly.
"Correct, Master Diluc! Haha!" Luya replied with a grin.
"As expected—the owner of Liyue's Duel Monsters Specialty Shop really is a young and talented man!" Diluc laughed heartily. "Meeting you today confirms it!"
Receiving such praise, Luya felt a strange sense of satisfaction.
"So you've heard of Yu-Gi-Oh! after all, Master Diluc," Luya said with a delighted smile.
"Wow, Master Diluc sure knows his stuff!" Amber laughed.
"By the way, Master Diluc," Luya said as he glanced around the shop, "how much is this place? I'm planning to buy it outright."
He had originally intended to use the Land Purchase Function to claim an empty plot for his Mondstadt branch, but upon checking, he found that the Mondstadt option hadn't been unlocked yet—it seemed he'd need to open a branch first to activate it. Since this shop looked suitable enough, he decided to buy it directly with full payment.
"Hahaha, take it as a gift—consider it a gesture of friendship," Diluc said with a warm smile.
Amber froze on the spot. A store this size had to be worth at least tens of millions of Mora, and he was just... giving it away? Truly the wealthiest man in Mondstadt!
"Then I'll gladly accept this generous gift, Master Diluc," Luya said with a laugh, expressing his thanks.
Then, he reached into his system inventory and pulled out a [Random Theme Deck], handing it to Diluc.
As Diluc accepted it, his heart trembled slightly. He could feel something within that deck—something calling to him. Excitedly, he took the box, feeling its light weight in his hand, though it carried an inexplicable pressure.
Lowering his gaze, he saw the deck faintly glowing. Unable to resist, he opened it immediately.
The moment he did, a radiant light burst forth, illuminating the dim, abandoned shop.
Amber, startled, took a step back—but after witnessing Luya's earlier summoning of Burstinatrix, this scene no longer frightened her.
When the light faded, a faint yellow background with a bold black "D" emblem appeared before Diluc. He quickly flipped through the cards in his hand:
[Clock Tower Prison]
[Destiny HERO - Dreadmaster]
[Destiny HERO - Doom Lord]
[Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer]
[D - Force]
...
Diluc immediately drew [Destiny HERO - Plasma] from his pocket and added it to the deck. His excitement was palpable.
This... this was the deck he had always wanted!
