On the track, Celestial Weave's ears perked up. The commentators' voices sounded somewhat familiar. But before she could dwell on it, as contestant number one, she was introduced.
"First up is the first favorite, number one, Celestial Weave, from a prestigious family! As the younger sister of Saint-King Halo, can she avenge her sister's shame from last year?!"
Celestial Weave turned to the audience and gave a gentle wave. In the crowd, Saint-King Halo silently clenched her fist.
Wanting to inherit her mother's "first-class" title, Saint-King Halo, who had always considered herself a first-class horse girl, had suffered a crushing defeat in last year's races.
