Chapter 35 - The Mafia

In a place far away in the city of Tokyo, some people were walking through some alleys, then they came across a building which they entered and walked through.

"Hey, do you think they'll scold us for the mess over there?" said Mogi.

"But you're the one who made the biggest mess," said the others.

"You're blaming the one who's hurt the most," said Mogi.

"Yes, but you caused it with your recklessness," said Aiko.

"Well, at least we're okay," said Rebecca.

The others arrived at a room where they saw some people celebrating something. Everyone was drinking beer or juice, and others were eating cake.

"What's going on here?" said Rebecca, confused.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you that today is also Hiori's birthday," said Aiko.

"Hiori's birthday!" shouted Rebecca.

"Well, it looks like they're celebrating without us, don't you think, Akutagawa?" said Draken.

Draken turns around to see Mogi, who is no longer by his side. Draken looks ahead and sees Mogi joining the party and eating the meat on the table like a savage.

"Well, if I join too, there's no problem," said Draken, joining the party.

"You idiots. Huh... Well, Rebecca, it looks like it's just you and me going to look for the boss," said Aiko.

"Yes, Miss Aiko," said Rebecca.

Rebecca and Aiko walk through the place alone, passing through several rooms, and arrive in front of a door. They enter and see a room and a man sitting there.

The man was reviewing several sheets of information with three other people beside him, who were checking what had already been done and what hadn't.

"Hello, sir, I came to inform you," said Aiko.

"No need, I already know everything that happened," said the boss.

"I see, well, that saves time then..." said Aiko, just as...

"Yes, I know, I know that this word should be 'lawyer,'" said the boss as he played a crossword puzzle.

"That doesn't make sense. The word you put before was 'emergency,' and horizontally, it continues straight down," said the man next to him.

"Calm down, both of you. Besides, we have to review this if you know we have to control crime more here in Tokyo, right?" said the girl next to him.

"Okay, just calm down, Yuki. It's not serious, and I'll take care of it," said the boss.

"I should have known you'd be like this," said Aiko.

Narrator: "Those two people next to the boss are just other supervisors like Aiko. Those two people are Yuki Nagatsumi, the girl sitting on the other side of the boss," said the narrator.

"And the other one sitting next to the boss is Tsurugi Hokazono. The two of them are just helping the boss while the others are celebrating at the party," said the narrator.

"Meanwhile, the other one sitting on the other sofa in front, checking the papers, is Fukuze Sogō, and finally, the boss is Korim Ōgai, the boss of the Port Mafia," said the narrator.

"Well, don't you think this is a good celebration after all the work?" said boss Ōgai, with everyone already downstairs.

"Yes!" they all shouted loudly.

"Well, now let's wish Hiori a happy birthday," said boss Ōgai.

"Well, now come up, Hiori," said boss Ōgai.

Hiori goes up on stage, where she stands at the front, and everyone starts singing "Happy Birthday" to her. Then two other people bring her the cake and light the candle.

"Now blow out the candle and make a wish," said Chief Ōgai.

"Yes!" everyone shouted.

Hiori thinks about his wish and then blows out the candles, extinguishing the flames. Everyone cheers and begins to cut the cake to serve it to everyone. Hiori then steps down from the stage.

"Hahaha, Hiori, now you're a real man now that you're 18," said a bearded man who tapped him on the shoulder.

"What a racket all this is," said Aiko, smoking.

"Miss Aiko, it's not a good idea to smoke here in the dining room because of the food," said Rebecca.

"Shut up," said Aiko.

"Okay, fine," said Rebecca.

"Hey, Hiori, I want to have a battle with you after the party," said Mogi.

"Take it easy, don't overdo it," said Hiori.

"Well, at least we're okay now," said Rebecca.

Everyone is celebrating, and Aiko drinks a lot of beer while getting crazy. Then we see Draken cutting all the meat and grilling it, also making a big buffet.

"Well, everyone looks good and relaxed," said Yuki.

"Well, I know sometimes you have to let off some steam," said Chief Ōgai.

Suddenly, Aiko approaches Chief Ōgai, very drunk, but she manages to speak to him even though she still seems very drunk.

"Hey, you know, I met an interesting guy in the basement," said Aiko, taking big gulps of beer.

"If I remember correctly, I think they called him Three or something like that," said Aiko.

"Well, what's so interesting about him?" said Yuki.

"Well, I just know that he could regenerate with his ability," said Aiko.

"An ability to regenerate?" asked Yuki.

"Yes, his whole body, but you know, he was good with axes," replied Aiko.

"I see," said Chief Ōgai.

"Yes, very strange, ha ha ha," said Aiko drunkenly as she left.

"Ha ha ha, I can't believe I'm hearing about Ukio again," said Chief Ōgai.

"I can't believe that idiot is the talk of the town again," said Yuki, her cheeks red with annoyance.

"You miss him, Yuki," said Chief Ōgai.

"Shut up!" said Yuki.

"You know, I remember when he used to work for us, but then he quit," said Chief Ōgai.

"I think he was 15 at the time and you were 16, Yuki," said Chief Ōgai.

"And the truth is, I put you two on the same team, and you ended up being a good team because of your flirting. I think you must miss him, don't you?" said Chief Ōgai.

"That's not true," said Yuki, blushing.

"It's been four years since he left us. I wonder what he's doing now," thought Chief Ōgai.

"I hope he's doing well," thought Chief Ōgai.

"Well, we'd better get started on this," said Tsurugi, showing some documents.

"Look, there are reports of people who say they have seen an imperial artifact in the Shogan district," said Tsurugi.

"I see. This will be perfect," said Chief Ōgai.

"Let's send Rebecca, Akutagawa, Aiko, and Draken again," said Chief Ōgai.

"Actually, it would be better to send two more people," said Tsurugi.

"Who do you suggest?" said Yuki.

"How about we also send Kashimo and Clevent?" said Tsurugi.

"I see, so you want to send those two. I wonder what they'll do," said Yuki.

"Well, it'll be fine if Ryūnosuke goes too," said Chief Ōgai.

"Well, it seems there's no other choice. I'll have to do it," said Tsurugi.

"Thank you very much for that," said Chief Ōgai.

"Now we just have to hope it doesn't happen again," said Yuki.

"Last time, his unwillingness to cooperate almost caused a disaster," said Yuki.

"Well, even so, we have to test some people. I also want to see if he can handle all of this," said Chief Ōgai.

"Well, since we're doing this, I want to go too," said Yuki.

"Well, that's fine," said Chief Ōgai.

"Well, since you guys are insisting, I suggest that Chuuya go too," said Tsurugi.

"Well, you're putting everything on the line again," said Yuki.

"Hey, what does that saying mean? I don't understand it," said Tsurugi.

"Well, you know how Yuki is. She's not very good with wordplay, so it will make sense later," said Sogō.

"Ah! When did you get here?" said Yuki, startled.

"I was here the whole time, but you didn't notice me," said Sogō.

"Hahaha, well, it's decided. That will be the group that goes," said Chief Ōgai.

"Well, now we just need to get everything ready and the vehicle," said Tsurugi.

"I'll take care of the luggage, the suits, and the air masks," said Yuki.

"I'll take care of getting the vehicle ready for now," said Tsurugi.

"Well, goodbye. I hope to see you soon," said Sogō.

Yuki and Tsurugi leave the place for a few minutes to make arrangements to go to the Shogan district, while Sogō joins the party, which is now crazier than ever.

The party ends after a long time, just at 5:00 AM, and Aiko wakes up with a bad hangover, while Mogi wakes up but ends up throwing two of his friends off him with his forearms.

Mogi lets them go normally, but then falls back asleep again while there is a complete mess, with things scattered everywhere and everything in disarray.

After a while, everyone gets up and starts cleaning up the mess they made at the party, while Aiko is vomiting in the bathroom from her hangover after drinking too much.

Meanwhile, Mogi leaves the place to go train while they clean up. He puts a bandana on his head to cover his eyes and headphones on his ears so he can't hear anything, relying only on his senses as he uses his katana to cut projectiles launched by a machine.
