Chapter 34 - Rest at the Agency

"You know, you should educate Ikuren a little more," said Counselor Kokushibo.

"I already told you, since I brought him here, it's my responsibility," said Seven.

"You know, I can't believe he's the same distrustful boy he was 12 years ago," said Counselor Kokushibo.

"You know, I remember when you and Julius brought him here when they were younger," said Councilor Kokushibo.

"All I know is that you took him out of that house that raised children to turn them into killing machines," said Councilor Kokushibo.

"You know, in the past there were always people who sought to turn children into killing machines for experimentation," said Counselor Kokushibo.

"What is creating monsters? That child has no family. He used to be very cold, but since he's been with you and Julius, he's been getting used to it," said Counselor Kokushibo.

"If this world were different, no one would ever suffer. In fact, right now, someone may be suffering a painful death," said the Kokushibo advisor.

"Many years have passed since then, and it confuses me that you and Julius brought him here when you were 21 and Julius was 15, and when they brought him to Ikuren, he was 9, but well, you know," said Councilor Kokushibo.

"You miss your youth with your son when he was little, don't you?" said Seven.

"Sometimes they grow up too fast, and so do my grandchildren," said Councilor Kokushibo.

Narrator: "Just so you know, the only ones to be trusted on the council are Councilor Kokushibo and Councilor Tomoke. First, Councilor Kokushibo is mentally strong and very calm because he is the leader of a clan, while the other one knows Seven better," said the narrator.

"But anyway, I'll stop with the mental stuff for now. But anyway, do you want to train with me to warm up?" said Councilor Kokushibo.

"No, thank you. I've had enough with the levitation thing, besides, I remember how rough you used to be," said Seven.

"Training Five and Ten earlier in our youth," said Seven.

"Hahaha, that's true," said the advisor Kokushibo.

A flashback from years ago shows Kokushibo drinking tea, while Five and Ten, before they were Five and Ten, are lying on the floor in pain. Ten is facing the floor while Five clutches his stomach tightly due to the severe pain.

"What's wrong? You can't continue," said Kokushibo.

"Decrepit old man," said Five before calling himself Five.

End of flashback, returning to the present in the conversation between the advisor Kokushibo and Seven, while Five and Ten in the break room feel a slight chill.

"Well, if you're looking for Tomoke, let me tell you that he's already left," said Kokushibo.

"I see, then I think I'll leave here now too," said Seven.

"Yes, it was obvious. Tomoke is the one who gives you your missions," said Counselor Kokushibo.

"You should also be careful. I don't know what Advisor Turuku is up to, but when I saw him at the meeting, he was smiling during the conversation," said Advisor Kokushibo.

"That guy is always up to something. In fact, I think you already know that you firmly believe he was the one who came up with the plan to take those two rookies, right?" said Advisor Kokushibo.

"Unfortunately for you, yes," said Seven.

"By the way, I imagine he was also the one who came up with the idea of going to the Shogan district, right, Councilor Kokushibo?" said Seven.

"Yes, you're right," said Councilor Kokushibo.

"By the way, I heard that someone mentioned Kyoto," said Councilor Kokushibo.

"In fact, you were going to go first, but since I wanted my daughter's niece to be there to learn what it takes to come, I asked them to change it," said Advisor Kokushibo.

"I'm not that surprised. Anyway, they need me there. That polluted place is very dangerous," said Seven.

The Shogan district is one of the four most dangerous districts, and it is known not for violence but because in the past, it was used to dump waste, which polluted the place so much that the air became too toxic to breathe, and over time it was abandoned.

The only way to survive is to wear a good contamination suit and an air mask to prevent the toxic air from seeping in.

"Well, I'm leaving now. Have a good day," said Seven, walking away.

Meanwhile, in a van, a person drives it and in the back are Ikuren, Vell, and Isack, who are sitting quietly.

"Well, that school thing seems kind of interesting," said Vell nervously, trying to break the ice that hung in the air.

"If you want to break the ice, please say something other than school," said Ikuren.

"Damn, I'll have to repeat the semester because they found out," said Ikuren.

"Well, I wonder who my new classmates will be," said Ikuren.

"Well, hey, you know what they do there," said Vell anxiously.

"Well, if I had to list things, anything that resembles a normal school but with touches of mercenaries and bullies," said Ikuren.

"Ah... I see," said Vell, surprised.

"Well, who cares about that when you know this is your chance to fight someone," said Isack.

"It's not like it's the jungle, you little monkey," said Ikuren.

"You piece of shit, you think you're funny!" said Isack, kicking Ikuren in the shoulder and shaking the car.

"Hey, calm down! We're almost at the academy, so please be quiet for now," said the man who was driving.

Back with the others in the break room at the agency, Ten is furious because he was taken off the plan and will have to be a coach.

"Fuck you all," said Ten.

"Calm down, don't complain. At least look on the bright side, you'll be able to train a new generation of kids," said Two, drinking tea.

"This idiot," thought Ten.

"Don't you think you're going a little overboard?" said a female voice close to Ten's ear.

Ten quickly turns around and attacks the girl, who dodges his blows. Ten doesn't stop and connects with a kick, but the girl blocks it with her forearm.

Then Two throws a series of punches, but the girl catches each one, stopping Ten. However, Ten turns and tries to knee her, but the girl dodges. Ten doesn't stop and prepares a blow.

The girl dodges again, but Ten's blow is directed at Two, who easily stops it by catching his hand with his palm while finishing his tea.

"Calm down, Ten, they're just testing you," said Two.

"Rrgh..." Ten growled through clenched teeth.

"I'll kill her someday," said Ten angrily.

"You must be Tsutako, right?" said One.

"My name is Tsutako Urara," said the girl.

"On top of that, I'll kill that bitch," said Ten, a vein visible on his forehead from anger.

"Stop it, don't cause any more trouble here," said Eight, grabbing his shoulder.

"If that idiot is your partner, I'm afraid to say that he won't survive much longer," said Tsutako.

"You called me weak, didn't you!" shouted Ten.

"I'm going to kill you!" shouted Ten.

"That idiot of a partner must be good for something," said Tsutako.

"Just ignore him, we're used to it," said Four.

"Hey, by the way, what's your ability?" said Four.

"You'll find out soon, but for now I can't say anything," said Tsutako.

"I see, okay then," said Two.

"Let's leave the introductions for another time," said One.

"What's important now is how you're going to avoid those people there," said One.

"Don't worry, we'll see what we can do when we get there," said Two.

"I'm aware of that, but I was referring more to you guys," said One, looking at Two and Four out of the corner of his eye.

"What does that have to do with me?" said Four.

"Well, we all know what you guys are like when you work together," said One.

"You're the one who gets intense on every mission, and two is the one who has to save you all the time," said one.

"You literally seem like an explosive couple since you haven't changed a bit since you started working together," said one.

"Now we're mercenaries along with seven, five, and ten," said one.

"Well, at least that idiot is useful to me since I just let him read while I take care of everything," said Four, lighting a cigarette as he sat down.

"Well, I've tried to help, but the problem is that due to the complexity of his ability, he needs a lot of space to use it and can't do it with allies," said Two to One.

"Well, but it would be better if you took care of six with Tsutako. I have a feeling that Ikuren and Julius 2.0 will come out of that mission," said one, leaving.

"Okay, then, let's leave it at that," said four.

"So, today's question will be who would be Ikuren of the two girls, six or Tsutako. What do you say?" said two.

"I'd rather you shut up," said Four.

"Hey, wait, what about Three?" said Two.

"Five isn't here either," said Four, looking around.

"Where could those two be right now?" said Two.

Meanwhile, with Three and Five outside, they had already left a while ago, and Three took Five to a place and gave them a car key.

"Let's see what you can do," said three from the passenger seat.

"Hey, not so fast!" shouted three.

"Idiot, your driving lessons are useless," said five, driving.

"Wait, we're going to crash," said three, seeing a wall nearby.

Five crashed the car with them inside, and the front of the car was completely destroyed, while Three and Five ended up with severe pain from the impact on their bodies.

"I thought you needed more lessons," said Three.

"And another thing, you need to stop being so dyslexic," said Five, before passing out.

"Well, at least it wasn't that bad," said Three.

"Damn, my arm," said Three, seeing his arm fall off.

"Well, at least I'm still okay...," said Three, passing out shortly after.
