Beatrice was live-streaming a chess match as she was in Subaru's lap.
Opponent: [It's the lap sitting prodigy!!! Oh my god. Oh my god. I'm going to get my ass kicked in chess by the lap sitting prodigy. It's such an honour!]
Beatrice: [Please try to put up a fight, I suppose. It would be boring if you gave up too quickly, in fact.]
Opponent: [Of course!]
Subaru: (My cute Beako is famous already... but...)
Subaru looked at the table. There was a box with Pizza.
Subaru: (Can't... reach.. my pizza.)
Subaru looked longingly at his pizza as he then got an idea. The slice of Pizza began floating towards him as it floated to his hand and he began eating it.
Subaru: (Well Invisible Providence is still useful for this kind of stuff. I've gotten a bit more used to it so using it for eating pizza shouldn't give me a headache.)
Beatrice: (Using an Authority for such purposes. Betty's contractor is truly a fool, I suppose.)
Beatrice however focused on her match.

Subaru woke up as he slowly got up from bed. Ever since the night at the motel Emilia and Subaru had been sleeping in the same bed. His parents realised why immediately but chose not to embarrass him about it.
Subaru: (Well I guess I'm lucky that dad isn't calling it out.)
He looked out his side.
Subaru: (Did Emilia-tan already get up?)
Subaru grabbed his phone.
Subaru: [Huh?!! It's already 10:00?!! How did I manage to sleep in like that?]
He got up and left his room but then fell onto his ass as his face went pale. In front of him was... Satella The Witch of Envy.
Subaru: (Satella? Is that really her?)
Subaru stared at her for a second. He was actually a very happy to see her but then...
Subaru: (... or the Witch of Envy?)
Subaru imagined her killing Emilia is jealously due to them having sex just like when he had told Emilia about Return by Death. He started to hyperventilate.
Subaru: (Damn it please no! Please be Satella.)
Subaru sweated.
Subaru: (So which one is it? Satella or...)
???: [Subaru are you okay?]
Subaru: (Oh thank god. It's Satella.)
Satella quickly leaned down trying to help him up and then he realised.
Subaru: [Emilia?]
Emilia looked at him and he saw it. Face paint of bones. Like a corpse.
Emilia: [Do you like my Halloween costume? I'm dressing up as the Corpse Bride.]
Subaru sweated.
Subaru: [Yeah it was really scary Mili.]
Emilia got closer.
Emilia: [Reaaally scary?]
Subaru sweat dropped, calming his breath.
Subaru: [Really scary.]
Subaru: (My heart almost jumped out of my chest after all.)
Emilia: [I love you.]
Subaru froze up at this for a second.
Emilia: [Subaru?]
Subaru: [Sorry it's just... the black veil brings back bad memories.]
Emilia: [Oh... do you not like the costume?]
Subaru: [It's good and besides it's just for one day. I'll be fine.]
Emilia: [Are you sure?]
Subaru: [Yeah I'm sure.]

Subaru: [But you know that Halloween is for little kids right?]
Emilia looked surprised.
Emilia: [But Beako already picked a costume for herself.]
Subaru: [She did... I mean... ahem... Halloween isn't just for kids. Adults also participate for the sake of young kids.]
Emilia giggled a little at this.
Subaru: (I guess I'll have to choose an outfit as well.)
Subaru considered it for a while.
Subaru: (Got it. That will be perfect!)
Beatrice walked into the room.
Subaru: [...]
She was wearing a costume of a Bishop.
Subaru: [Um Beako... you're supposed to wear something scary.]
Beatrice: [Don't be so foolish as to underestimate the terror of the Bishop, I suppose.]
Subaru sighed.
Subaru: [As usual, Beako is too smart for me sometimes.]
Beatrice smiled smugly.
Beatrice: [That is only natural, I suppose.]
Subaru scratched the back of his head at this, sweat dropping. Subaru walked down to the stairs when he saw his mother wrapped in toilet paper.
Subaru: [Huh? Mom?]
Naoko: [I'm a Mummy. Get it?]
Subaru cringed.
Subaru: (This is even worse than the time I made a fool of myself at the Royal Selection ceremony.)
Naoko: [What's wrong Subaru?]
Subaru laughed awkwardly.
Subaru: [It's nothing mom. Your costume is just... really scary.]
Naoko: [Really?]
Subaru: [Um yeah.]
Naoko beamed.
Subaru: (She really believed that...)
Kenichi stepped out wearing face paint that made him look like Frankenstein.
Kenichi: [How does it look?]
Subaru: [Hey. Nice job dad. Looks good.]
Kenichi then saw Naoko and cringed.
Kenichi: (Dear...)

Emilia walked into the room that was dark as she looked around.
Emilia: [Why is it so dark?]
Emilia then saw something moving in the shadows. It moved like it was sliding instead of walking.
Emilia: [Eh?]
She turned around when suddenly she felt a hot breath on her neck as she turned around in fright when the lights turned on. It was Subaru. He was wearing a black cloak with the inner part being red and he had pointed teeth.
Emilia: [Subaru?]
Subaru: [I'm a vampire now Mili. I need to drink blood to survive.]
Emilia: [Eh Subaru? How did this happen?]
Subaru: [I think Al's spell did something to me. Turning me into this. Emilia-tan... I'm... thirsty.]
Emilia shivered slightly.
Emilia: (But if Subaru doesn't drink he'll... he'll die.)
Emilia steeled herself.
Emilia: [Subaru. Take my blood. It's okay.]
Subaru walked up to her, his mouth towards her neck but he stopped and then pulled away.
Emilia: [Huh?]
Subaru began laughing as he took out his fake teeth.
Emilia: [Eh? Wait a second. What?]
Emilia was confused.
Subaru: [It's my costume. Do you like it?]
Emilia realised as she pouted.
Emilia: [You reaaally scared me you know!]
Subaru rubbed the back of his head.
Subaru: [Sorry. I could help myself.]
Emilia: [Dunderhead.]
Subaru smirked.
Subaru: [But I'm your dunderhead.]
Emilia blushed at this.
Emilia: [Subaru!]
Subaru smiled.
Subaru: [I spent all day making this though. Check it out.]
Emilia looked at his outfit feeling the textures.
Emilia: [Whoa! It's reaaally well made.]
Emilia let go and stood there contemplating something.
Emilia: [So... vampires need blood?]
Subaru: [Yep. They also burn up when they're in the sun. They literally turn to ash. The perfect costume for a former hikimori like myself.]
Subaru held up a poster.
Subaru: [I'm volunteering for a haunted house after we take Beako trick or treating so I'll be home late.]
Emilia nodded.

A lady opened the door as she saw a strange sight. A little girl dressed as a chess piece.
Woman: [Um...]
Subaru: [She's a chess player. You wouldn't get it.]
Woman: [Well alright.]
They took the candy and turned around when they came face to face with a man dressed as a werewolf as Subaru felt a chill go up his spine.
AN: His Todd Fang PTSD is acting up.
Subaru laughed slightly walking around the man.
Emilia: [Are you okay Subaru?]
Subaru: [I'm fine... Halloween just isn't as fun as I remember.]
Subaru sweated as he laughed awkwardly.

Some kids walked through the haunted house as a boy was in the lead. The other kids seemed scared.
Boy: [Hey scaredy cats. None of this is real.]
The boy kicked a coffin as the lid slid off and he turned around.
Boy: [It's all fake. You hear me?]
That's when they went pale and the boy turned around to see a man rising from the coffin like a vampire as he looked at them. His eyes were terrifying.
Subaru: [Ah fresh meat. The blood will be so... delicious.]
They started running away closing the door to the rooms.
Boy: [Quick! The exit!]
The boy opened the door only for Subaru to be standing before them. They shut the door and ran away opening another door as Subaru was standing there as they went even more pale. The boy looked in front of him in horror as he fell onto his ass.
Boy: [I'm sorry for saying it was fake! Please don't drink my blood!!!]
The boy was terrified, closing his eyes as Subaru leaned down.
Subaru: [Hey are you okay?]
Boy: [Huh?]
Subaru: [Here.]
Subaru offered his hand as the boy took it and stood up.
Subaru: [Be more careful okay?]
He nodded as Subaru led them to the actual exit.
Subaru: [Hope you had fun. Tell your friends.]
Then a group of girls walked up to the house. One of them was familiar.
Girl 1: [Haunted house? Seriously? Whatever. Let's see it.]
Familiar Girl: [Yeah alright.]
They entered the house and began walking around not even flinching from the creepy paintings and jump scares.
Familiar Girl: [Seriously? That's all? This place is so lame. I want my money back.]
She looked to the sign telling her where to go.
Familiar Girl: (Even if it's lame, I might as well finish it.)
She reached the vampire room and Subaru rose from his coffin and her heart raced. The girl imagined the boy before her being behind her and holding her arms as he bit her neck.
Subaru: [Delicious.]
She blushed.
Subaru: [Wait a second... Is that you...]
Familiar Girl: [Take me!]
She said involuntarily before realising and blushing.
Girl 1: [Toki what the fuck?]
Toki: [Well um...]
Subaru: [Take you where?]
Toki: [Um... uhhh. It's nothing.]
Toki said this blushing as she turned around still beet red. The other girls started sniggering.
Subaru: [Are you alright Toki. Your face was red. Do you have a fever?]
Toki: [Huh? No. I just um... it's nothing.]
Toki turned around running out of the haunted house.
Girl 1: [Seriously. She's got some strange taste.]
Girl 2: [I don't know. He's not half bad looking.]
She said this seductively walking up to Subaru.
Subaru: [Sorry I'm taken.]
Girl 2: [Aw you're no fun.]
Girl 3: [Let's go girls. Before Toki follows some weirdo into a motel.]
Girl 2: (Damn it. I wanted to tease this guy a bit. He's kinda cute after all.)
Girl 2: [Let me give you my number first.]
Subaru pulled up a picture of Emilia and him together. She was kissing his cheek.
Subaru: [I'm happily in a relationship!]
Girl 2: (Yeah no. There's no way I can beat that. Makes me more interested in him though. What exactly did this guy do to rope in a bombshell like her?)
The girls left in search of their down bad friend.
Subaru: [That was weird. What strange people.]
Beatrice walked out of a room.
Beatrice: [Is Betty's work here done now, I suppose?]
Subaru checked his phone.
Subaru: [Yeah our shift's over. Thanks for using door-crossing to help me out. Let's go home.]
Beatrice: [Betty will make sure Emilia knows you weren't cheating.]
Subaru: [Huh! There's no way I would and Mili knows it!]
They walked out together as someone else walked over taking over the haunted house.

Subaru sat down next to Emilia as they ate some snacks.
Subaru: [So how was your day?]
Emilia: [It was reaaally fun but it felt a bit strange seeing so many people dressing up as witches.]
Subaru: [I guess you would find that strange.]
Emilia: [What about you, Subaru]
Subaru: [It was weird. Like a group of girls came to the haunted house and started teasing me. I was confused. I mean when did I get so popular?]
Emilia stared at Subaru. A deathly stare.
Emilia: (I could accept Rem but strangers? No way! They don't even know how amazing Subaru was before everything!)
Subaru: (That look is pretty scary. My Mili is so possessive.)
Subaru thought this with a slight blush of smugness.
Subaru: [Don't worry, Mili. There's no way I'd leave you.]
Emilia smiled.
Emilia: [So are we going to take off our costumes now?]
Subaru looked surprised and blushed.
Subaru: [Oh, are we to have a night of the undead here together Mili? A vampire and a corpse bride. What a scandal.]
Emilia tilted her head and then realised as she blushed.
Emilia: [No... I meant changing back into our regular clothes but... if you want to then...]
Subaru got up off the bed and locked the door and closed the blinds.
Emilia: [Subaru? What are you...]
Subaru then made a locked-in face.
