"Are you and father fighting?" He asked with an innocent look. "Are the two of you going to get a divorce?"
Adeline choked on her saliva. She had to drink water to calm herself before she replied.
She reached out and held Ian's hand in hers and looked at him so daringly.
"You're father and I are having some kind of misunderstandings for now but don't worry. It won't be long and I'll explain everything to you," she said.
Ian simply blinked at her, his lips trembling with a pout.
Adeline glanced at her grandfather for help, and the man understood the assignment.
He pulled Ian towards him and said, "You don't have to worry about anything my little boy. Your mother told me that your exam is coming soon. You keep what, if you get the first position, I'm going to buy you those sneakers you always wanted."
Ian's eyes glimmered once he heard those words.
"Really?" He asked, extremely excited.
