Chapter 128 - Sorry, I’m an Undercover!

"Banner?"

Ross's face shifted slightly at the sound of that name.

The other actually knew the person he was trying to capture: Bruce Banner!Codename: The Incredible Hulk!

This was classified information, not something just anyone could uncover—it circulated only among a handful of high-ranking military officials.

Anyone who knew this was no ordinary person.

Ross said coldly, "Who exactly are you?"

"You'll find out."

Anton stared at Ross, thinking about how to deal with him.

Killing Ross would be easy.

One shot from Cyborg would be enough.

Considering the near-endless blue energy within Cyborg, a single shot would barely make a dent.

But killing Ross wasn't practical.

If Ross died and the news got out, it would create trouble for Cyborg and even for the soon-to-be-formed Justice League.

Though Cyborg could, technologically, erase scientific evidence and cover up the truth, the problem was that there were still so many soldiers on site.

They would recognize him sooner or later.

Was he supposed to cover up the truth by killing the soldiers too?

Looking around, there were about forty or fifty left. Their smoke-stained faces were filled with uncontrollable fear as they stared, trembling, at Anton.

The rest had either fallen in explosions, passed out, or been crushed under twisted armored vehicles—miserable.

If he wanted to kill, it wouldn't just be Ross; it would be all the remaining soldiers too.

Anton frowned slightly.

He wouldn't hesitate to wipe out villains. No second thought—he'd act immediately.

But soldiers, at their core, had done nothing wrong.

They were merely tools following orders.

From that perspective, killing them was no different from killing civilians. Anton's conscience couldn't allow it.

Still, not killing Ross posed a threat.

Ross was a high-ranking U.S. military officer—a lieutenant general.

If he interfered, the Justice League represented by Cyborg would face constant obstacles.

It wasn't that they couldn't form, but trouble was inevitable.

This gave Anton a real headache.

Ross, facing this expressionless enemy, had no idea what the other was thinking.

He was nervous. His life rested on a single thought from Anton.

"Damn it!"

Meanwhile, Bronski, thrown to the ground by Anton, struggled to rise.

He clenched his fists, subtly moving his hand to his waist.

Here lay his secret weapon—a large-caliber pistol that could fire only six bullets.

Swish!Unwilling to accept his fate, he straightened abruptly, aiming at Anton, who was slightly distracted, exposing half his face.

"Die!!"

Bronski gritted his teeth and fired without hesitation.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Flames erupted from the muzzle as six bullets shot out, speeding toward Anton's eyes.

Cyborg's half-exposed face made his remaining right eye the most vulnerable.

Seeing the bullets coming, Anton let out a cold laugh.

He didn't need to hesitate. Bronski had made the choice for him.

In an instant, he raised his hand, activating a sonic barrier that blocked the six high-speed bullets.

Ding ding ding ding ding ding!

The bullets fell and bounced across the ground.

Bronski saw the man before him: the left cybernetic eye blazing red, the right human eye radiating terrifying killing intent.

No good!

Cold sweat broke out on Bronski's back.

Even Ross sensed something was wrong—the man was clearly enraged by Bronski's actions.

"You better think carefully. I am a U.S. Air Force lieutenant general…"

Ross's scalp tingled.

But as he spoke, he saw Anton stretch out both hands, forming a terrifying energy cannon at least the size of a cooking pot, with astonishing blue energy swirling inside.

"Damn it!"

Ross turned and ran.

But the energy cannon had already fired.

Boom!

Bronski was the first to be consumed by the energy blast. Ross, only ten or so steps ahead, was also caught in the blast.

In an instant, it felt like an earthquake—rocks and debris flew everywhere.

The ground before Anton was blasted into a huge circular crater, inside which lay a barely recognizable skeleton.

Clearly, this was Emil Bronski.

The future Abomination had died right here.

At the edge of the crater, a mangled, bloody figure could just be identified as General Ross.

Ross was almost a mass of raw flesh, barely human.

His skin was severely burned; his clothes melted into scraps. Motionless, he collapsed on the ground.

"Hmph!"

Seeing the two fallen, Anton snorted coldly. He thought he'd been impulsive.

But since it was done, there was no turning back—he acted as needed.

He ignored the remaining soldiers and used Cyborg's ability to erase all surveillance records from the flight base, leaving a blank slate.

Then he soared to the edge of the base, stopping in front of the jeep where Phil and his two companions were.

Thud!

Phil stared at the man before him, astonished beyond words.

So were Stockman and the female ninja, Kale.

The three trembled like frightened drivers, staring at the man who had just wiped out an entire flight base alone.

"Get out!"

Anton glared at the driver.

The driver nearly lost control of his bowels. Under Anton's intimidation, his calves trembled uncontrollably as he stumbled away from the jeep, not daring to stop, crawling to increase distance.

"You…"

Phil swallowed nervously.

Suddenly, he had an epiphany—he connected this man before him with a fairly memorable figure.

"Cyborg?"

He gasped. "You are… Cyborg?"

As a Hornet Daily employee, he was familiar with the DC company downstairs—they shared the same boss.

Under Eddie's leadership, his skill at flattery had grown significantly.

He had also seen many works released by DC.

Quite interesting, actually.

A DC fan, he was naturally familiar with the second film directed by his own boss.

Phil was stunned to realize that this man looked exactly like the superhero Cyborg from Anton's works.

Of course, since he was in Brazil, his information had lagged far behind New York.

It was normal not to know about Cyborg's recent rise in fame.

But identifying him from his distinct appearance was also reasonable.

After all, Anton's current Cyborg form, especially with the silver mechanical body, was extremely recognizable.

"Cyborg? What's that?"

Stockman and Kale exchanged looks—they had never heard the name.

"Cyborg!"

Phil kindly explained, "A superhero… ally of Batman… I think!"

"Batman?"

Hearing the name, Stockman and Kale's faces changed drastically.

"Why would Batman send someone here?"

They were more nervous than when Ross's army had discovered the flight base.

Batman's threat was far stronger and more direct than Ross's.

"Uh…"

Phil hesitated, looking at Cyborg.

Anton nodded slightly.

Phil's face lit up. He understood.

Ahem.

Phil cleared his throat. "At this point, I won't hide it! You two—Cyborg is here for me."

"For you?"

Stockman and Kale were completely dumbfounded.

"Exactly."

Phil spoke with sincere apology, yet couldn't hide a smug pride.

"Sorry, I'm an undercover!"

Stockman and Kale's jaws nearly dropped, unable to believe this man who called himself "Abomination" would say such a thing.

Instant panic washed over them.

Stockman trembled all over, opening his mouth but unable to speak for a long time.

Please… I want to be a good guy. Is it still possible?Urgent… waiting online!
