By the time the first pale light crept through her window blinds, she was already up and ready to face her day.
It was a Sunday, and one would assume she would either sleep in or prepare to attend her local church assembly service.

After bathing and getting dressed, Ruby left Kia's bedroom, heading straight for the stairs.
"Good morning beautiful?" Elena's sharp and excited voice rang like a bell the moment Ruby appeared by the stairwell.
"You're here already?" Ruby raised a brow, her eyes wide with surprise.
"You know me, I'm an early bird." Elena received her at the base with a peck on the cheek.
"Your breakfast has been served, Ruby." Kai walked out of the kitchen, wearing an apron and carrying a tray of steaming food.
