"Wow I'm really strong now!" Violet exclaimed with obvious excitement once she finished reading her new and improved stats, Luna seeing her companion look so happy couldn't help but smile in shared joy.
"We both are strong now!" Luna said, then with a smirk she decided to tease her companion just a touch. "But I still have my quest rewards to take so I will have 5 more levels to gain, I think I'll finally be the strongest out of the two of us!"
Violet looked at her companion her jaw dropping open at the taunt, but she could feel the amusement through the bond so decided to play along. "Well if that's the case then I guess you will have to do all the fighting for us."
Luna however, was quick to refute that claim. "Oh so your too weak to go hunting are you? Sigh I guess I though too much of you, but it's okay I'll be sure to look after you." Violet froze in sudden panic.
"Wait, wait, wait I didn't mean that! No I still want to hunt!" She pouted at her evil friend. Luna just laughed and walked up to Violet who's head now loomed over her, she leaned in and wrapped her arms around the dragons neck for a hug.
"Don't worry, didn't you say we would always be together?"
Violet felt her stomach do a flip and a warm fuzzy feeling blossomed in her chest at those words. She lowered her head and wrapped it around Luna to complete the hug. "Yeah and we will be! I'll just have to grow even stronger!" Her voice was filled with determination and care at her proclamation.
The hug lasted for a while longer but eventually Luna pulled back. "Okay well then let's use all of our rewards shall we? I'm interested to see what will happen with that skill evolution!"
"Ohh yeah that does sound fun! What are you going to use it on? I'm stuck between void bolt and lance, my bolt is good but against tough enemies it lacks impact, and Lance is a great move but it's not massively better than spear and takes too long to cast."
Luna thought for a moment before answering. "I think I'm going to use it on Body of the Arctic Warrior, it's a great skill that I use all the time but I'm hoping that evolving it will improve the defence it provides, right now it only protects me from weak attacks that I don't really need to block."
"But for you I think evolving your Void Lance is a good idea, it's your big finishing move so may as well make it even better right?" Violet hummed in agreement with Luna's logic, it was true that she tended to use it as the finishing move or as a big opener to end a fight before it could truly start. So making it do that job better could only be a positive in her mind.
"Well then let's get to it then!" Saying so Violet laid down and rested her now quite large head against her legs, Luna seeing that Violet had claimed nearly all of the furs grumbled but then decided to roll with it and laid down against her companion, she enjoyed the warmth that Violet emitted and she was surprisingly comfortable to lean against.
Luna first selected her bonus levels and watched as her levels and stats skyrocketed.

Wisdom - 33->43+5
She gasped at the influx of strength she felt and marveled at how many stars she gained through that burst in levels, it seemed she now gained +2 in her 3 primary stats each level now along with 4 bonus stats, it seemed that in this case she was just given a flat +10 to all stats thanks to that bump in levels. Eager to see what would change when she evolved her skill she initiated that upgrade aswell!

She looked at her new skill and decided to test it out to see what changed. She instinctively understood some of it but wanted to get a feel for exactly what it did.
Upon activation a thin transparent shell of ice encased her from head to toe. Yet it felt… sturdier than her previous skill. Similarly she noticed that the speed and strength boost she received was now slightly increased. But that wasn't the best part, no the best part about her new skill was that she could grant this blessing upon other people! Giddy with excitement Luna turned to Violet eager to try out her new skill.
Violet meanwhile had deliberated over which skill she should be evolving once more. She spent a solid 15 seconds deciding and came to the same decision as previously and went ahead and selected the upgrade.

Violet then noticed Luna stand up and watched as a thin yet sturdy layer of ice coated her body whilst she seems to move slightly faster. Then when Luna looked over at her with a wide smile she uttered a short sentence that almost brought a tear to Violet's eye. "Let's go hunting!"
The two took a moment longer to share the details of their new skills along with Luna sharing her giant boost in stats which Violet definitely was not jealous over! Before Luna quickly stored all of the furs. Then the deadly duo decided that they would challenge the valley of fire once more to see exactly how much they have grown.
Making their way down the cliff they soon found themselves in the familiar suffocating heat, or at least it used to be suffocating. For Luna whilst she noticed the increased temperature with her blessing of the Arctic up she could ignore the increased temperature quite well, and when she shared the blessing with Violet she was unbothered by it as well. When she did share the blessing with Violet a shell of ice didn't appear over her exactly but she instead felt a small boost in speed and strength, with that she noticed that the heat no longer seemed so all encompassing and she relaxed slightly.
The duo made their way over to the river of lava and began to walk its shores to find a worthy foe. They didn't have to wait long before something decided to challenge them. And to both of their delight it was a familiar foe. Out of the lava climbed a hulking form red and black scales dropped molten lava whilst its elongated neck swivelled in their direction and its red slitted eyes narrowed as it looked over the two of them.
Violet looked over at the Flame Drake and guessed it to be slightly smaller than the one they previously faced, and also noticed that unlike the pervious one this one lacked a sense of danger. If that was because of her improved strength or that this foe was not a Champion Beast she didn't know, but she was eager to find out. Channeling her mana into her newly evolved skill she noted with interest how lines of void traced themselves in the air to her side forming a intricate circle of runes and symbols that whilst she couldn't read, she understood on an instinctual level described her skill.
After a second of wait the circle fully formed and a blast of void erupted from it and raced towards the stunned Drake. But it didn't manage to dodge in time and the blast of void hit it at the base of its neck, when the cannon hit a half meter wide circle was obliterated from the beast and it collapsed to the ground instantly dead in a single blow.

Violet looked at the corpse for a moment as she read the notification before blurting out. "Oh I guess it wasn't a flame Drake but its un-evolved form! Neat!"
