As the barrage of notifications ended the two companions looked at each other, neither spoke for a while before Violet broke the silence. "So I think we won?"
A giggle burst out of Luna's mouth, her excitement at actually having succeeded in their mad day of battle causing her to become slightly manic. "I think we did yeah! And I hit lvl 40 I can now advance my class! Then with that quest reward I will be able to get a nice boost to my power right after! How about you are you close to your evolution?"
Violet hummed for a moment. "Well I'm level 36 right now so with that bonus 5 levels I will be able to evolve yeah! But first though can we leave this cave, my scales are starting to itch thanks to all this death mana." Nodding in agreement the two of them hurriedly made their way out of the cave, upon reaching the end and stepping out into fresh air they both paused to enjoy no longer having the very air around them trying to kill them.
"Umm should we find somewhere to evolve or do it here?" Luna asked her friend.
"Hmm I don't think we should do it here, too many things have died here so predictors will soon be attracted. I would say we should go back to our cave but it's too far away, how about we go to the spot we camped above the fire valley? That place seemed pretty safe."
"Urgh but then we have to walk up the cliff face again!" Luna complained.
Violet just chuckled at her companions complaints. "Come on let's get going now the sooner we get out of this valley the better!" And so reluctantly Luna followed behind her companion. With the sun now just past its peak they still had a number of hours of light left. They moved as swiftly as they could but the exhaustion that they felt was bone deep.
Several hours later they finally arrived at their chosen spot to rest and recuperate, and most importantly to evolve and advance.
"You should advance first, yours shouldn't take too long whereas mine might take a while. That way if mine does take long you will be much stronger and able to protect us both better." Luna was unable to argue with that logic so accepted it. But before she settled down to do that she first pulled out the furs from her storage item and then had some food. She shaired it with Violet and together they relaxed and rested for a while.
Eventually though she could delay no longer and eagerly opened up her advancement options.

'Hmm not the best selection, im not a fan of most of them really. The only one that I actually like the sound of is Arctic Void Companion. It keeps the primary focus being my Arctic nature, but pays a lot of homage to my relationship with Violet specifically as it mentions void. Well it's quite the obvious choice really.'
And so after giving it some more though and confirming her decision she chose Arctic Void Companion as her new class.
Violet watched as a flash of white light enveloped Luna, but was surprised when hints of purple and black wove into the pure white light, they were not predominant but nearly accents to the overall look of her advancement. But being the good companion that she was Violet made sure that she paid close attention to their surroundings. She refused to allow for anything to interrupt her companions advancement.
It took around an hour before the light began to recede and when it fully did Luna was revealed to be looking much the same. However Violet noticed that the ever present chill that was present around Luna was more… refined? Colder? But it was no longer alone, no she now had hints of something that was very familiar to Violet, Luna now had hints of the void in her aura.
"Congratulations Luna! How are you feeling? Did you get a good option? I can feel the void from you! Did you grow stronger?" The barrage of questions rattled Luna who was only just comming to but she couldn't help but feel a wry smile tug at her lips.
"Yes I feel fine, thank you Violet, and yeah I do feel stronger." Saying so she decided to have a look at her stats to see what changed.

After sharing her new and improved status with Violet Luna felt pretty happy with herself, and violets happy noises were a welcome addition that made her feel even happier. But she then told Violet to go ahead with her own evolution and after some more praise sent lunas way Violet acquiesced and began her own process.
Firstly she accepted the bonus 5 levels from the quest which brought her right up to lvl 40 then after seeing the awaiting notification about her evolution she opened that and perused her options.

Violet was at first quite confused by the options given to her, she wa a happy that she would now be an adolescent, but was unsure about why she gained some of the options. She naturally understood the void option as that was the direct upgrade for her current evolution. Black dragon felt strange, from what she could understand from that option it would remove her void speciality but would grant her control over shadows, poison and death. It seemed quite strong but also quite unspecific.
Death dragon was just a no, she didn't like the undead or how death mana felt, she refused that based solely on how Luna would likely be uncomfortable around her if she chose that option. Arctic was also quite interesting, she would be moving much closer to Luna if she chose that option but it also felt like she would be loosing a part of her own individuality.
So all in all, she felt like she only really had one solid option. Adolescent Void Dragon.
Luna watched as the familiar shape of an egg made of the nothingness of the void formed around her companion, only this time the size was noticeably larger than her previous one. But she was sure to remain vigilant and kept watch over her companion, at least for the first few hours, saddly as the night progressed she eventually fell asleep.
Luna awoke to the sound of a crack, she jolted upright and looked about. Instantly she noticed the singular large crack that split the egg of void down the middle, looking about she noticed that it was morning now and she blushed as she realised she had slept theough the night. The egg however continued to crack until it suddenly burst open to reveal the dragon that lay within.
Violet was considerably larger now in fact her shoulder would reach lunas neck, it was her length that grew the most in lunas opinion. She grew quite a lot, her body was around 3 meters in length and her tail was another 2 meters on top of that. Her wings which never quite matched her body now flexed and spread out revealing their size. They were each around 2 meters long giving her a 4 meter wingspan.
Her colouring remained much the same with a deep purple being her predominant tone but with accents of void black. "How do you feel Violet? You have grown quite a lot!"
Violet for her part felt amazing! She felt strong! And much smarter! She quickly checked her status out.
