Just an fyi readers this chapter will feature gore quite heavily in the middle section! If you didn't get that from the title then I don't quite know what to say but I'm sorry for your loss!

As the sun rose that day it found our dynamic due of a Baby Dragon and a Snow Leopard Beastkin asleep and in a tangle of limbs. They did eventually escape their confines and after a full days of rest and recovery they were more or less back to full health! Although Lunas ribs were still tender, thanks to her Beastkin heritage she still had a part of that beastly regeneration which had managed to fix a broken rib over night.
Violet was a dragon so it was natural for her to recover quite fast, although she was still missing a couple of scales which she felt quite embarrassed about once she noticed, they were also itching quite a lot as they slowly grew back in.
But with both of them back to fighting form and both of that quite hungry they decided that they should make their way back to the cave in a roundabout way and look for something tasty to hunt.
They didn't have to go that long till they found their first prey and to both of their delight it was a prey they were all too familiar with. For in front of them was a small group of Tree Monkeys four members strong. "Well Violet you did say you wanted to know how they tasted right? Looks like you will get your chance." Luna sent over to the dragon.
Humming in agreement Violet replied, "left mine, right yours!" And with her perfect plan explained she leapt from the shadows and immediately began to tear the face off the leftmost monkey. Letting out a sigh at the dragons impulsiveness but also not really expecting anything less Luna swiftly joins in the fight deciding to try out her new abilities.
Dashing to the monkey on the right side of their now panicked group Luna unleashed a devastating blow, her fist covered itself in a layer of ice that grew jagged around her fists as she used ice strike.
THUD, SCREEECH
Whilst not quite enough to kill the monkey in a single blow it did freeze half of it's stomach which promptly shattered as the beast tried to move causing a gush of innards to come loose. Activating her other new ability body of the arctic warrior, she felt and saw a layer of frost cover her torso and arms. With this coating she felt a small surge in her strength and sturdiness.
She felt like she could take that blow from the Arboreal Ape and not even flinch! Deciding to test that out she allowed the 2nd monkey to swing at her with its claws, she only raised a single arm coated in frost to block.
PING
The claw of the monkey only left a light scratch on the frost armour and she noticed with glee that the monkeys paw now had a slight layer of frost covering it, Luna had a huge grin on her face after witnessing the effects. Testing out her newfound strength she unleashed a multi strike sending two punches to the chest and then spinning around to deliver a roundhouse kick to the monkeys head.
THUD, THUD, CRACK! THUD.
The first two blows staggered the beast and left lingering frost on its fur, the kick however cracked open its skull and let loose a fountain of gore as the freshly minted corpse collapsed to the ground. Turning back to her first foe she was mildly disappointed to find it on the floor trying to scoop its innerds a back into itself whilst whimpering pitifully. Snorting Luna launched a second ice strike using her foot as the implement and shattered its face instantly killing it.
In the other side of the battlefield Violet was having a blast, she had decided to finish this fight using only her physical abilities and no magic. It turns out however that she had become somewhat reliant on her magic for damage as she was somewhat struggling.
Of course if you were to ask her she would just say she was practicing not that she was struggling.
After mauling her first opponents face for a couple of seconds she released a tail whip at the other monkey managing to catch it on the side of its face leaving a nasty cut along its cheek and sending it staggering back a couple feet. This gave her the room to leap off her mutilated foe and land with enough space to begin charging up another pounce.
And whilst the first monkey howled in pain the second regained its bearings and charged at her. Releasing the pounce she launched at its chest head first, or horns first.
CRACK, HOWWL
A satisfying crack was heard as the impact of the tiny dragon on its chest caused several ribs to break and the monkey to let out a howl of pain and cough out some blood as likely at least one of the shattered ribs punctured something important.
Around now the first monkey had regained its bearings enough to focus back on Violet a look of unbridled fury and insanity radiating from its one remaining eye as the other dangled uselessly from its socket.
ROAR!
And as such it charged madly at her only to be met with a tail whip to its knee.
CRUNCH, THUD.
And that knee promptly was shattered causing the mad dash to end in it eating dirt and landing just behind the dragon. Not wasting this chance Violet leapt onto its back and aimed her maw at its neck. With a mighty chomp and a savage rip she tore out the neck of the monkey leaving its mutilated body to spasm as the life rapidly left its body.
Now with just the second monkey standing, or well it was kinda standing, or actually it was now collapsing into the floor as it gasped for air whilst coughing up blood. Deciding to just put it out of its misery she kept over to it and promptly tore out its throat as well!
Looking around the short but bloody battlefield the 2 bonded companions grinned at one another before Violet dug into her meal.

After a quick meal where Luna made a speedy fire and lightly cooked some of the monkey meat only to have to share some with her greedy dragon companion. The two resumed stalking through the woods looking for their next foe.
Some hours later found our two companions battling some kind of tiger beast, it currently wasn't in the best of conditions with its front right leg partially frozen over and unable to move much and a few scorch marks from arcane bolts along its face and side. Our companions were in better shape but little Violet had a bad cut along her back from when they were ambushed.
The fact they were ambushed whilst in stealth and covered by her shadows had greatly surprised Violet, at least until she saw the tiger manipulating the shadows around it with a greater level of proficiency that she herself could achieve.
And so after exchanging some blows and injuring the tiger to this extent it was time to put an end to this battle. "Luna distract it!" Violet called out.
"Remember to use please when asking things!" Luna replied but still moved forward to engage the tiger and drew its attention away from her little dragon.
Violet not quite sure why she had to say please for anything, but as she trusted Luna she would try to follow her advice. And so as she summoned her greatest spell, Arcane Lance it took several seconds for the mana to coalesces into a solid form but soon enough the 2m long lance of mana was ready.
"Please die tiger!" As the lance of pink and crackling blue energy shot towards the Tigre it managed to impale it through its back before exploding and tearing the poor tiger in half and putting an end to the battle.
Laughing Luna managed to ask with a tone of mild disbelief, "d-did you just ask the tiger to please die?"
Tilting her head in confusion Violet replied, "you just said I had to say please when asking for things? Since I wanted it to die I said please, did I say it wrong?"
Realising the confusion Luna tried to reign in her laughter but was quite unsuccessful. Huffing in annoyance Violet turned back to the devastated body of the tiger and began to eat her fill whilst looking over her notifications from the past couple fights since the monkeys this morning.

Hmm no new skill this time, oh well I'm happy with my gains shouldn't take too much longer now till I can evolve once more!
"I leveled up!" Luna exclaimed! "My second level today! Bask in my awesomeness!"
Seeing her companion strike a weird pose Violet responded in the only appropriate way she knew. "Silly stupid small one" whilst trying to hide how she was actually very happy for her companion, after all if one of them got stronger they both got stronger.
"Getting late, head back to cave now?" Violet asked Luna once she had calmed down from her excitement.
"Yeah we probably should, let's try find a bird or something tasty in the way back so we can have some food back at the cave and some breakfast when we wake up!" Luna replied.
"I like it! We go to hunt!" Violet replied with excitement as the two dashed off whilst melting into the shadows.
