Chapter 94 - Lu Yuan, You Deserve To Be!

Heaven Dou Imperial Palace

"Lu Yuan… has a child?!"

Emperor Xue Ye's face turned crimson as he slammed his armrest. His chest rose and fell rapidly, breath ragged with fury.

He had just declared marriage between Princess Xue Ke and Lu Yuan. Barely any time had passed—and suddenly Lu Yuan already had a child with another woman?!

This wasn't just disrespect. This was a direct slap across the face of the Heaven Dou Royal Family.

"Father!" Princess Xue Ke piped up, her young face bright and firm. "Then I want to marry him even more!"

The courtiers froze.

"Y-you…" Emperor Xue Ye's lips trembled as his finger quivered at his daughter. Rage, shame, disbelief—he couldn't even form words.

Blushing but stubborn, Xue Ke raised her chin. So what if he's already a father? Pregnant or not, my heart decided long ago.

"Father, please calm down," said Qian Renxue, her voice smooth as she bowed deeply. Her disguise as Crown Prince hid the storm brewing in her chest. "The deed is done; anger changes nothing. Better we accept this publicly before the continent mocks us for panic."

On the surface, her calm words soothed the emperor. Inside, however, fury seared her like fire.

Liu Erlong. Of all people, Qian Renxue thought coldly. I predicted he would stray again, but who would have guessed…

Lu Yuan's unpredictability was beyond comprehension. He wasn't merely chasing young girls—he truly had no boundaries.

"Ugh!" Emperor Xue Ye waved his sleeve furiously and stormed from the hall, too angry to continue.

The court was left stunned. The "outrageous" Lu Yuan had once again flipped the mighty empire on its head.

Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

Silence reigned in the Sect Master's chamber. Ning Fengzhi held the scarlet invitation with a dark expression, his temples throbbing.

"Erlong…" he muttered.

The illegitimate daughter of Blue Lightning's second master. The ferocious "Horned Demoness" of the Golden Iron Triangle. A woman already renowned while Lu Yuan was still a child.

And now… she bore him a son.

"Ridiculous…" Chen Xin spat, pacing the room with irritation. "That brat has gone completely wild these past two years—daring this and that, stringing women left and right! But Erlong too? She even gave birth?!"

Gu Rong's jaw tightened. "Chen Xin, have you forgotten why Lu Yuan left our sect once already? Dragging him back would suppress you again. His Martial Soul… is too twisted. If he returns, who knows what torment even you will face."

Chen Xin grimaced, but he had no retort.

Ning Fengzhi massaged his brow. "News from Blue Lightning?"

Gu Rong flicked his finger, passing over a coded scroll. "The elders there want to keep the boy. The dragon mark on his forehead shocked even Yu Yuanzhen."

Ning Fengzhi tapped the table softly, deep in thought.

"…We must see for ourselves. Ready the horses. We go down the mountain and meet this child."

The room was thick with tension. Even for calm Ning Fengzhi, Lu Yuan's chaos was now reshaping sect alliances.

Tiandou Royal Academy

Chief Meng Shenji reclined elegantly in his chief's office chair, sipping fragrant tea. He looked as though the world's greatest gossip had not just landed on his desk.

"Chief! How can you still drink tea?!" Qin Ming slammed the table, almost spilling hot liquid over himself. His face was pale, eyes bloodshot with disbelief. "Lu Yuan sent this! He's—he's a father!"

He waved the invitation wildly.

Meng Shenji's eyes barely lifted. "Mm. Calm yourself. It's only a child."

"Only a—?!" Qin Ming nearly fainted. He was still single, living his life plain and ordinary, and meanwhile… Lu Yuan, that troublemaking fiend, had already fathered a child with a legendary figure like Liu Erlong?!

"Dean, this is shocking! What shall we do about it?"

"What else?" Meng Shenji set his tea down gently. "Prepare a gift."

"Gift?!" Qin Ming's jaw dropped.

Meng Shenji's calm face did not change. "The Elite Tournament approaches. Do you want him pulling our academy out because we were rude to his child? Remember, I already bribed him with three hundred jars of fine wine just to compete. Offending him now would cost us everything—not just face but perhaps also protection."

Qin Ming slumped in despair. He had learned something new today: trying to stay sane around Lu Yuan was impossible.

A Banquet at Home

Back at Lu Yuan's residence in Heaven Dou City, the atmosphere was jubilant.

"Tons… tons… haaa!" Lu Yuan tipped fresh jars of royal tribute wine. "Come on, you brats, drink! And eat this too!"

He tossed out bundles of green herbs from Dugu Bo's medicine garden, uncaring of their exact rarity, only that they were "good stuff."

The younger disciples and teammates blinked at the freebies before cheering. If Lu Yuan wanted to feed them treasures, who were they to complain?

"Thank you, Brother Lu Yuan!" The voices chimed together.

The room bustled with laughter—until Feng Xiaotian stumbled in, half his face swollen.

"Brother Lu Yuan~" he wailed, snot nearly dripping. "I was beaten!!!"

Everyone's jaws hit the floor.

Shrek Trouble

Lu Yuan frowned. "What happened? Who dared?"

Feng Xiaotian sobbed out the tale. "I went to Shrek to deliver your invitation… but just as I got to the gate, I ran into Dean Flender. That old bird-brain accused me of spreading rumors about Liu Erlong! He wouldn't listen—kept shouting I was slandering her! I told him I'd seen the baby with my own eyes and everything, but then—"

Feng crouched dramatically, clutching his bruised cheek. "He pounded me into the dirt! On the teeth! Right on the road!"

The younger crowd tried and failed not to laugh.

Lu Yuan's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Shrek dares beat my messenger? Hmph!" His grin turned wicked. "Forget it. I'll deliver that invitation personally."

Shrek Academy, Director's Office

Inside the shabby office, Flander threw a crumpled invitation on the desk with disgust.

"I can't take it anymore! On my way back from errands, I ran into some punk waving this around. Said Erlong had given birth to a child—with Lu Yuan, of all monsters!"

His tone trembled, half furious, half bewildered. "The audacity! The rumors these days need no coin at all!"

A deep chuckle escaped from the corner.

Yu Xiaogang—the Grandmaster—didn't even lift his head from his book. His sneer was cold.

"Rumors stop at the wise, Flander. Pay it no mind."

Flander's beard quivered. "No mind?! It's been half a year since Erlong disappeared! Aren't you worried?!"

Yu Xiaogang's hands shook ever so slightly as they turned a page, though his voice stayed calm. "If she does not wish to return, what can I do? I have searched everywhere from our youth. Nothing. Likely… she was dragged back to Blue Lightning by her father."

"Then you should—"

"I said enough!" Yu Xiaogang's hand crushed the page in his fist, eyes flashing. His voice cracked, heavy with helplessness. "It is impossible for me to go back. That is final."

Flander stared, throat tight. The tension hung around both like smoke.

Meanwhile, the invitation lay crumpled on the table—mocking them with four scarlet words:

"Lu Xiaoyu's Full Moon."
