Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: Ruins of The Scorched Kingdom

"That's enough about that now, it's time for you to collect that flower I asked you to, at the Scorched Kingdom," Jesse says as they walk out of the basement. Iori calls out to them before they disappear.

"Don't take too long. Apparently, Satoshi recently got into debt while gambling, again, and now debt collectors are coming after him, again. They will likely attempt to hire some skilled mercenaries. I have to be somewhere soon, so I need to make sure as many crusaders are here while I'm gone," Iori says.

Dai'chi and Jesse teleport to an unknown location. They're in a kingdom, but everything is on fire and burnt. The ground is covered in soot, which flies up in the wind. All of the buildings are blackened and falling apart. Everywhere you turn, you can only see the smoldering flames or giant infernos that consume the area. "Is there any life that can even live here?" Dai'chi says.

All the trees that once stood are completely burned to the ground. Not even grass remains on the ground as the whole kingdom is consumed in black, red, and gray.

"This place was once a prosperous Kingdom, but suddenly the temperature of the whole Universe heated up, and every planet with an atmosphere caught fire. Thanks to that, this place has unique plants that you can't find anywhere else," Jesse says. Dai'chi looks around, feeling the igneous air. "I'm leaving now. The flower you are looking for looks like a Lilium 'Forever Susan' Asiatic Lily. It's a dark maroon color with orange on the edges of it. Good luck finding it," Jesse says before teleporting away, leaving Dai'chi alone. Dai'chi gets annoyed.

"So now I'm here alone, looking for a flower. Does he really expect me to know what a Lilium 'Forever Susan' Asiatic Lily looks like? I don't know a single thing about flowers, and I don't plan on learning," Dai'chi says. He looks up at the red sky. Clouds of smoke consume the atmosphere above. "It's crazy how different universes can be from each other sometimes. I can't imagine this place as a livable city at all," He says.

He walks around the desolate city, searching for any sign of plant life. He stops moving for a moment and closes his eyes. He slowly opens them again. "I see, this place seems to have remnants of the Naendibo here. I never expected this place to have the Mysterio disease in the atmosphere. The reason this place's temperature rose is most likely due to this being the location where the inferno Mysterio. Never thought I would ever figure out where another Mysterio died; most of their locations were unknown. Now I know why this place seems like hell," Dai'chi says. He continues to walk through the kingdom.

After around 30 minutes of no success, he starts walking towards the castle. He then hears movement around him. Dai'chi freezes and attempts to hear where the sound is coming from. *Where could that be coming from? The sound is echoing around the area, so I can't pinpoint the exact location of the sound,* Dai'chi thinks in his head. He closes his eyes

Suddenly in from behind him, a giant creature jumps out at him. Dai'chi quickly turns around and jumps backward, but he notices too late. The creature bites Dai'chi's arm, easily ripping it off. Dai'chi lands on the ground, and his arm quickly regenerates. "Well, that hurts quite a bit. It uses up a decent amount of stamina to regenerate lost limbs," Dai'chi says. He looks at what bit him. In front of him is a giant dog. The dog has three heads with mouths angrily open. It stands at around 30 feet tall, bigger than most of the surrounding buildings. The six eyes all glow red at Dai'chi, staring him down, its large teeth as sharp as knives. It has a long, horse-like mane going down its back to the tip of its tail. The mane resembles a green flame. It wears a collar made of dark blue scales. Dai'chi looks up at it.

"This place must really be hell; they even have their own Cerberus here. That was something Jesse could have warned me about, but he probably didn't tell me on purpose. Not like his help would have made a difference in the end. This big puppy doesn't stand a chance," Dai'chi jokingly says. He stands back up and unsheathes his katana. His eyes only contain confidence that he will win, his unrelenting arrogance shining through. "This will be easy, I might not even break a sweat," He says.

A large skeleton appears in the air behind Cerberus. It wears a large black cloak. Every finger of it resembles long, white daggers. "Fkekire Quib Mibmufire sabire," The large skeleton says.

Dai'chi becomes intrigued, he widely grins, "That's interesting, even if you are in the location where a former Mysterio died, it's quite surprising to find another being that can talk Ancient Mysterio," Dai'chi says. "Zsi fsuiyn O," Dai'chi responds in Ancient Mysterio.

The skeleton gets annoyed at Dai'chi's response. It angrily yells its response at him, "KEPIRE QUIB YAEVIRE HUZ, UB NOIRE ZSABIRE QUI FKEHN," It yells, intending to intimidate Dai'chi. Its eyes start to glow with a red flame.

Dai'chi looks at the skeleton coldly, unfazed by the response he got. He holds his katana in preparation to attack. "Leave now or die. You get lucky with a single surprise attack, and you think you are so powerful. If you were smart, you would have taken my head off with that first attack. It's a shame you have no clue what I'm saying," Dai'chi says. The skeleton continues to watch, waiting for Dai'chi's response. "Ksire O rsufire, of lub qui ku noir. Hu haan lub dire ku ley nabire," Dai'chi says.

The skeleton screams loudly. "QUI FSEY KEPIRE QUIB LOHEY TBAEKS," It yells in a fit of pure anger. The red flame in its eyes grows large. It points at Dai'chi and screams incoherent words. The dog rushes at Dai'chi with its mouth wide open. Dai'chi swings his sword, grinning.
