Richard Parker, a rookie policeman of Gotham City, was transferred to the NYPD to pursue a dangerous case: the escape of the elusive villain known as White Rabbit from Arkham Asylum. Arriving in New York, Richard quickly discovered a harsh reality the city had no heroes to protect it from rising crime and chaos. Struggling between duty and conscience, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Donning a plain, all-black suit with only white lenses for his mask with no logo. Richard became a shadowy vigilante. He called himself Spider-Man, not for powers he never had, but for the responsibility he chose to bear. Guided by his own mantra, “With no power comes great responsibility,” Richard balanced the life of a hidden cop and a faceless protector, standing as New York’s first hero in its darkest time.
