"'If you like fishing, can't you become a master?'" Xu Fu took a sip of water from his palm, and Shi Shiran nodded approvingly.
"Naturally," the warrior said, bowing slightly. "Your Excellency Xu is the best example."
Xu Fu's gaze swept over the samurai. "I have no personal enmity with your Shouhe Society. Why, then, are you here to kill me?"
The samurai lowered his head. "Your Excellency Xu, I'm sorry. I cannot speak of this matter—Shouhe has strict rules."
Xu Fu's eyes narrowed. "And if something happens to you, what then? You have a plan?"
"Your Excellency, before I die, I have one question," the samurai said. "Tell me… is the Red Jiao Group yours?"
Xu Fu paused thoughtfully. "You are clever. Yes, the Chijiao Group is under my command."
The samurai's face fell. "We should not have provoked you. We shouldn't have agreed to this mission…"
Suddenly, his eyes flashed with resolve, his head held high. "Then let us die, for the honor of the Shouhe Society!"
A deafening roar shook the mountain.
The Shouhe samurai had buried explosives throughout the house, and now they were triggered. Red light burst from the ground. In an instant, the structure threatened to collapse entirely. This was the samurai's plan—to take himself and Xu Fu to Huangquan together. Pride shone in his eyes, eager to see Xu Fu fear him.
But Xu Fu only smiled. "Susanoo."
A pale blue energy enveloped him. The explosive force and the samurai's attack were swallowed in an instant.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The minefields detonated endlessly. The house crumbled to rubble, the ground cracked and twisted under the impact, and distant observers screamed in terror. Yet amidst the chaos, Xu Fu remained untouched.
A verdant light spread from his body, stabilizing the destruction. Fires burned, debris flew, but the green energy held firm. In the center of the ruin, a simple table with two glasses of water remained. Xu Fu sat calmly, facing the samurai.
"Who are you?" the samurai asked, panic in his voice. He could not understand the immensity of Xu Fu's power.
"I didn't say," Xu Fu replied quietly. Though a student who had not yet graduated, he was far from ordinary.
"Then why are you protecting me?"
Xu Fu's eyes twinkled with amusement. He wanted to see who had dared to attack him, and now, through the secrets of Hydra and Chijiao, he would uncover the truth.
"There is no way I will betray the Shouhe Society," the samurai said, pride and fear mixing in his voice.
Xu Fu's white eyes glowed. Energy surged from him, burrowing into the samurai's mind, a precise telepathic invasion reminiscent of Professor X's teachings. The samurai's thoughts unraveled, memories and secrets dissolving under Xu Fu's power.
Boom!
The mountain shook again. The house, hollowed by energy shock, had gaps spreading across the ground. By the time the shock weakened, the TFD of the Eastern Dwarf arrived.
They examined the ruins and realized the devastation could not have been caused by ordinary explosives alone. Their expert eyes noted the sheer scale and power, yet nothing appeared amiss beyond the extraordinary destruction. Among the debris, the remains of a man were found—but they were no longer fully human. The high-energy blast had preserved the form, a terrifying testament to Xu Fu's strength.
The authorities had no choice but to retreat. The site was left in chaos, a headless accumulation of cases and unanswered questions.
Later, in the villa area, Xu Fu returned with Starlight and Zhen Lizi. Surprisingly, Zhen Lizi chose to stay. After the funeral incident, it seemed likely that her father had arranged the circumstances.
