Synopsis
One second, I was just another anime binge-watcher. The next… I woke up standing in the middle of a burning battlefield. Before me stood warriors who looked eerily familiar — a spiky-haired martial artist who could shatter mountains with a single punch, a reckless ninja wrapped in swirling wind, a smiling sky pirate who could bend his body like rubber, and a sword-wielding spirit hunter with crimson eyes. Only… this wasn’t cosplay. They were real. And they were trying to kill each other. Some mysterious force has merged their worlds into one chaotic realm. Kingdoms are falling, cities are vanishing, and every “legend” I ever admired is either fighting for power… or plotting to erase the others from existence. And me? For some insane reason, they think I am the “Anchor” — the one person who can hold this new reality together. I have no powers. No training. No idea what’s going on. But if I can’t stop these legends from destroying each other… there won’t be a world left to save. Epic battles, clashing personalities, and a mystery that could shatter all realities — welcome to the ultimate anime multiverse.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Summoned Into Chaos

Recap of Previous Chapter:

Since this is the first chapter, there is no recap yet. Future chapters will summarize the previous chapter in 2–3 paragraphs here to remind readers of key events.

Scene 1: Ordinary Life Turned Upside Down

Ren Arata was sprawled on his bed, empty snack bags scattered across the floor like trophies of a long night. His laptop glowed with the final episode of yet another anime series. He muttered to himself, voice hoarse from hours of commentary:

"Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to make a fight last twenty episodes straight? They could have ended it in five and still made it epic!"

The hum of his ceiling fan and the occasional car passing by were the only sounds outside his small apartment. The room smelled faintly of instant noodles, popcorn, and the lingering essence of his obsession—anime. Posters of various characters adorned the walls, each one frozen mid-action, heroic expressions staring back at him.

He yawned, stretching his arms above his head. "Maybe tomorrow I'll finally go outside… or, you know, maybe not." He smirked at his own laziness, a half-hearted shrug acknowledging the truth he wasn't ready to admit: the real world was far too boring compared to the worlds he escaped into nightly.

Then, as he reached for his empty cup of soda, something unusual happened. A soft, almost imperceptible hum filled the room, vibrating through the floorboards. At first, he ignored it, assuming it was the laptop or the old apartment wiring acting up. But the hum grew, low and resonant, until it thrummed in his chest like the heartbeat of some massive, invisible creature.

Ren froze, mid-breath, staring at the center of his room. A faint glow appeared, dancing on the walls like liquid silver light. It pulsed rhythmically, almost as if it were alive. "Okay… that's new," he whispered, rubbing his eyes. The glow grew stronger, brighter, until the whole room was bathed in a searing white light. His instincts screamed to duck, but it was too late.

The world tilted, the floor vanished, and his stomach dropped. "Wha—what the hell is happening?!"

Scene 2: The Summoning

Everything went silent. Ren's body floated, weightless, suspended in the blinding luminescence. He couldn't see walls, ceiling, or floor—only infinite white, stretching in all directions. A strange warmth spread from his chest, coupled with a strange tug in his mind, like invisible strings pulling him toward some unseen point.

"This… can't be real. It's just—some kind of VR thing, right? Yeah, totally a VR thing. No way this is real life."

Then, in the blink of an eye, the white vanished. The world snapped back into sharp focus, and Ren was no longer in his apartment. He staggered onto cobblestone streets, buildings shattered around him. The sky burned a violent orange, streaked with black smoke and fragments of floating islands suspended above like broken shards of glass.

Monsters—twisted amalgamations of beasts and humanoids—ramped through the streets. They tore through remnants of walls and towers effortlessly, growling and screeching. Ren's heart slammed against his ribs, fear coiling in his gut.

"Where… am I?" he whispered, his voice barely audible. Dust swirled at his feet, and the faint hum from before lingered in the air, almost like a pulse.

A shadow moved overhead—a figure streaking across the battlefield like a blur. A golden-silver aura flared as he landed, striking a monstrous creature with devastating force. Buildings shuddered from the impact. The figure turned mid-attack, revealing spiky black hair, wide, determined eyes, and a grin that seemed almost too confident for the situation.

"Who… who is that?" Ren breathed.

Scene 3: First Encounters

Before he could comprehend more, another figure dropped in from above, spinning midair with an unnatural grace. A swirl of wind followed her, slicing through a pack of monsters with pinpoint precision. Her pink hair trailed behind her like flames, and a mischievous smirk played across her lips.

"Oi, watch it!" she called, leaping past Ren without noticing him. "You're in the way!"

Ren flinched. "I—I'm not—wait, what—who are you?!"

The first figure—the spiky-haired warrior—paused, glaring at Ren. "Hey, kid! Step back! You don't know what you're doing!"

Ren waved his hands helplessly. "I—I'm not doing anything! I just… I just got here!"

A booming laugh echoed from above. A stretchy, wiry figure descended from the sky, landing with a dramatic crash that sent debris flying. "Hahaha! Looks like we've got fresh meat!" His grinning eyes scanned the battlefield, taking in Ren and the two others. "Finally! A real spectator. Or… maybe a new recruit?"

Ren gaped. "Recruit? I—no! I don't even know where I am!"

The three "heroes" glanced at each other. The spiky-haired fighter sighed. "Kid, you're in trouble whether you like it or not. Monsters aren't going to wait for an introduction."

Scene 4: Immediate Danger

A hulking creature charged from the rubble, snapping its massive jaws. Ren froze, panic rooting him to the spot. The ground shook with its footsteps.

Gokuro—or whoever he was—leapt forward, landing between Ren and the monster. His fists glowed as he punched the creature, sending it flying into a pile of rubble. The pink-haired girl twirled in midair, slicing the creature's limb with a gust of wind that shimmered like silver.

The sky pirate—Rufi, as he called himself—flexed his elastic arms and flung a punch that stretched across the battlefield, knocking another beast into the air.

Ren felt his chest tighten. What the hell… are these people? How are they real?

Suddenly, his vision blurred, and the world seemed to respond to his fear. A ripple of energy spread outward, and the monsters hesitated mid-attack, almost as if recognizing him. A voice, soft and unplaceable, whispered in his mind:

"Anchor… your presence stabilizes this world. Use it… or fall."

Ren's eyes widened. "What… what does that mean?"

Scene 5: Cliffhanger Ending

The monsters regrouped, snarling, their eyes glowing red. The three heroes braced themselves for another strike. Ren, still frozen in place, felt warmth surge through his chest again.

A golden light erupted from his palms, untrained but strong. It slammed into the nearest monster, sending it crashing into the wall. The others stared at him in shock.

"Wha—did you just—?!" Gokuro shouted.

The pink-haired ninja blinked. "Kid… you're… different."

Rufi grinned wider than ever. "Ohhh, this is gonna be fun!"

Ren's mind raced. Anchor? Powers? Heroes? Monsters? I just wanted to watch anime in peace…

And somewhere in the chaos, that soft, mysterious voice whispered again:

"Welcome… Anchor. Your trial begins now."
