Cold Open — The Ambush

— Final strikes on the Inferno Basilisk (Ep. 6).

— Darkness. The Cloaked Hunter's voice, low and deliberate:
He's ready… for the next trial.
EXT. BLACK SCAR — TWILIGHT
The wasteland's molten fissures flicker like veins of fire under a storm-dark sky.
Beast Sense HUD: Two massive mana signatures detected.
Guild Comms (distorted, urgent):
Xavier! Kai! Get out of there! You're about to be ambushed!
Camera whip-pan — red and blue mana flares ignite opposite horizons.
Act 1 — The Two Lieutenants Appear
The ground erupts — a hulking monster rises: the Emberhorn Minotaur.
— 15 feet tall. Obsidian-plated armor fused to muscle. Lava-forged axe glowing with every breath.
From the storm clouds above — a black silhouette drops: the Tempest Harpy.
— Serrated steel-like feathers. Talons wrapped in crackling lightning.
HUD: Threat Levels — 32 & 35.
Kai (grinning):
Two bosses at once? Now we're talking.
Xavier (steady):
We split them… or we're dead.
Act 2 — Two Fronts, One Team
BATTLEFIELD SPLIT:
— Kai vs. Emberhorn Minotaur: Blades clash against the flaming axe, shockwaves sending sparks and molten rock into the air.
— Xavier vs. Tempest Harpy: Using Volt Breaker, Xavier leaps between crumbling spires, lightning chasing his every step.
Tempest Harpy: KREEEEEE! — a sonic shriek rattles the air.
Xavier falters, vision blurring, and plummets toward the Minotaur's arena.
Kai (one hand still parrying) snatches Xavier's arm mid-fall, pivots with the momentum, and hurls him skyward.
Xavier (mid-flight, locking eyes with Kai):
Cross Fang Assault — NOW!
Act 3 — Tag-Team Chaos
HUD TRIGGER — Cross Fang Assault Lv.1 Activated.
— Xavier: Volt Breaker Overdrive engaged — lightning arcs violently along his blade.
— Kai: Mirrors the strike path below, aura flaring crimson.
Dual Attack Sequence:
— The Harpy dives, talons sparking.
— The Minotaur swings, molten steel cleaving air.
— Both strikes are intercepted in a perfectly synchronized counter.
Xavier slices through the Harpy's wing joint — feathers and lightning erupt in a blinding flash.
The Harpy spirals down — straight into Kai's attack range.
Kai vaults over the Minotaur's horn, spinning mid-air, and buries both blades into its neck.
As the Minotaur collapses, Xavier lands beside it, driving his blade through the Harpy's chest.
BOOM — both lieutenants burst into showers of mana shards, light raining over the battlefield like burning snow.
Act 4 — Victory & Rank Up
HUD:
LEVEL UP! 10 → 12
CROSS FANG ASSAULT — Lv.2 UNLOCKED — increased damage & range.
Kai (panting, sheathing blades):
Two bosses… one fight. Not bad, rookie.
Xavier (smirking):
Told you I'd catch up. Now I'm passing you.
Ending Cliffhanger
EXT. CLIFFSIDE — NIGHT
The Cloaked Hunter watches the battlefield in silence.
The wind pulls his hood back — revealing scarred skin and eyes glowing molten gold.
Cloaked Hunter (low, dangerous):
Halfway through the lieutenants… let's see if you survive the other four.
CUT TO — A vast underground chamber.
The Sky Tyrant Dragon strains against ancient chains. Its roar shakes the mountain, echoing like a war drum through the dark.
