SEASON 2 — EPISODE 2
"Colossus of the Storm"
Cold Open — The Mountain Moves
The continent groaned.
Stone and soil trembled as though the land itself feared what was about to rise. In the distance, what had seemed like a jagged mountain ridge began to shift—boulders sliding, cliffs tearing away.
Then the "mountain" stood up.
It wasn't stone. It was flesh.
Colossal legs thicker than city walls tore free from the earth, scattering forests like blades of grass. A torso rose higher and higher until its shadow swallowed the horizon. Its head broke through the clouds, lightning spiraling around it like a crown of wrath.
HUD BLIP: Threat Level: 80.
*Target Identified: Stormbreaker Behemoth.
The wind howled, carrying the electric tang of ozone. Kai stood frozen, mouth open.
"We're gonna die."
Xavier didn't break his smirk. His hand went to the hilt of his blade, golden light starting to hum across its edge.
"Not today."
The screen of his visor reflected the impossible size of their target, and somewhere in his chest, that familiar fire of the Hunt roared to life.
Act 1 — The First Assault
The Hunter Army struck first. Dozens of skyships swarmed the Behemoth's knees like angry wasps, unleashing magic cannons and explosive spears. The air filled with the sound of tearing sky and thundering impact.
The Behemoth swatted without even looking. Entire squads vanished under the swing of its hand. Every footstep crushed villages into splinters and left craters deep enough to drown a fortress.
Xavier sprinted forward, activating Volt Breaker Overdrive—golden arcs wrapped around his legs as the world blurred beneath him. He darted through falling debris, over jagged boulders, and leapt onto the Titan's shin.
The climb began.
Bolts of lightning, drawn to his energy, slammed into the ground inches from his back. He didn't slow.
Beast Sense pulsed in his mind—four mana cores burned like suns inside the Titan: one in each limb, and a massive central one in the chest.
"Multi-core target," Xavier muttered into comms. "Gotta cripple it before we can kill it."
Act 2 — Storm Above the Clouds
The higher Xavier climbed, the wilder the storm became. Clouds whipped past, dark as ink and boiling with lightning. The Behemoth's upper body loomed ahead, muscles the size of fortresses flexing with every movement.
Then it roared.
The Thunderquake Roar ripped through the air like a physical force. The shockwave tore Xavier from the Titan's body, sending him plummeting toward the ground.
A silver streak blurred beneath him—Kai's glider.
"You're welcome!" Kai shouted, tossing him upward.
Xavier twisted in mid-air, landing hard on the Behemoth's shoulder. Without hesitation, he activated Arc Storm Cleave. Lightning wrapped around his blade until it screamed like a thunderstrike. He plunged it into the arm's mana core.
The world flashed white.
One core shattered.
Act 3 — Multi-Core Mayhem
The Behemoth's pace doubled. Each step now created shockwaves that toppled towers miles away. The ground troops struggled to keep their footing, but they focused their fire on the legs, peppering them with enchanted ballista bolts.
Xavier chained Apex Hunter Mode with Volt Breaker Overdrive, becoming a golden phantom streaking across the Titan's body. Every movement blurred into the next as he cut toward the remaining cores.
Halfway to the next one, the Behemoth's massive fingers wrapped around him. The crushing force was instant—armor groaned, bones screamed. Xavier snarled, jamming his blade into the palm and detonating an electric surge. The hand jerked open, flinging him free.
He hit the Titan's forearm, rolled, and kept moving.
Two more cores to go.
The third core exploded under his strike, lightning arcing violently from the wound. The storm above grew angrier, as if the Behemoth itself was calling on the heavens.
Act 4 — The Final Strike
The last core pulsed in the creature's chest like a miniature sun. It began to draw lightning directly into itself—thick bolts slamming into its body, feeding the core until it blazed white-hot.
Xavier planted his boots against the Behemoth's rib-like armor. He could feel the hum of power in his teeth.
He drew in every drop of energy his body could handle. Apex Fang Sever—Limit Break.
Then… he pushed beyond Limit Break.
Golden-white light engulfed his blade until it burned brighter than the sun above. The metal screamed under the overload.
He lunged.
The strike drove deep, cutting into the mana core's heart. Arc Storm Cleave burst outward from inside the Titan, sending a spiderweb of light through its chest.
The Behemoth froze mid-step. For a moment, it was silent. Then the ground quaked as its massive body collapsed in slow motion, shaking the continent.
Act 5 — Victory & Rank Up
The HUD exploded with alerts.
LEVEL UP! 30 → 40
New Passive: Titan Slayer (Lv.2) — greatly increased damage to colossal beasts.
Kai limped over the wreckage, grinning through blood and dust.
"You're leveling up so fast it's not even fair."
Xavier sheathed his blade, his voice low.
"Good… because I'm still not strong enough."
Ending Cliffhanger
Far from the battlefield, the Cloaked Hunter knelt on a cliff. Behind him loomed a shadow larger than even the Behemoth—its eyes glowed crimson, burning through the mist.
Cloaked Hunter: "The Titan King awaits… and you're not ready for him, boy."
In the distance, Xavier stared at a storm-shrouded peak. The mountain shifted… and exhaled.
