Miranda arrived back at the office emotionally drained. Ben had offered to deliver her belongings to Nolan's estate after dropping her off. As she stepped out of the elevator onto their floor, exhaustion weighed heavily on her shoulders.
Clara emerged from behind her desk upon seeing Miranda. "Are you joining us for drinks tonight?"
The realization hit Miranda that it was Friday, which sparked a small thrill knowing she and Nolan would have the entire weekend together. She wondered what plans he might have in store for her.
"Hmm, I had..." Miranda hesitated, unsure how to decline the invitation.
She typically joined them at least every other week, often accompanied by Ryan. Would he bring Suzanne now? "I'm not certain I can make it this time," Miranda said, needing to check Nolan's plans first.
Clara smiled knowingly. "Planning something with Ryan this weekend?"
