Chapter 139 - Greetings

The Zoanthrope and Neurothrope hovered in the air, their bulbous heads locking onto the unmanned aerial vehicles parked openly below. Orbs of crackling green Psionic Energy spewed forth, striking their targets with devastating force.

"Boom!" Instantly, two aircraft erupted into fiery infernos. On the ground, the other Tyranid Warbeasts were equally active, relentlessly targeting the remaining aircraft. Marcus's plan was straightforward: first, sever Hell's Gate Base's physical connection with the outside world, then systematically deal with the RDA employees within. This was the perilous moon of Pandora, and ordinary humans wouldn't be able to escape far. Under the combined bombardment of Psionic Energy and Spore Mines, more than twenty aircraft were swiftly reduced to flaming wreckage.

It wasn't until this massive commotion that the base's security personnel, comprised of various retired soldiers, finally burst out, weapons at the ready. Their ranks included basic infantry armed with rifles, a significant number of AMP exoskeletons, and several small infantry fighting vehicles. All aimed their guns and cannons at the rampaging Tyranid Warbeasts, then unleashed a ferocious barrage of fire. Although he couldn't fathom the origin of these monstrous creatures, Colonel Quaritch, the head of base security, immediately focused on eliminating these beasts that were destroying company assets.

Facing the relentless firepower of these security forces, the Tyranid Warbeasts did not retaliate directly but continued their methodical destruction of the aircraft in the open space. Floating above, Marcus narrowed his eyes but remained still. The outdated weapons in the hands of these soldiers, which had long been phased out by the regular army of this world, were incapable of inflicting any real harm on the armored Tyranid Warbeasts.

"Damn it! Make those monsters stop, they've already destroyed billions in assets!" In the base's command tower, RDA supervisor Parker roared, his face contorted with fury.

In stark contrast to Supervisor Parker, who lacked foresight and cared only about extracting more Unobtainium for the company, the scientist Grace, a specialist in Pandora's ecology and the Na'vi, watched with flickering eyes. "Those are definitely not creatures from Pandora."

"What did you say?" Supervisor Parker sharply caught Grace's words.

"Pandora's self-contained ecosystem could not have bred such monsters designed purely for killing," Grace explained simply. Although the Tyranid Warbeasts had not actively attacked the RDA soldiers, everyone in the base understood that their huge claws and sharp teeth were not merely for show. Furthermore, even the machine-gun bullets, which couldn't even penetrate their defenses, were enough to fill everyone with paralyzing fear.

"I don't care about all that! With such a huge loss to the company, your science department will definitely be the first to be cut!" Supervisor Parker screamed, already envisioning himself laid off and packing his bags. After an angry curse, he turned to Colonel Quaritch, who had been continuously barking orders to the soldiers nearby. "Authorize the use of high-power weapons! Blast those damned monsters to smithereens!" To establish a base on the perilous Pandora, Hell's Gate Base was not lacking in high-power weapons purchased by the company from the military.

"It should have been like this long ago," Colonel Quaritch muttered, glancing at Supervisor Parker, then immediately ordered the security forces to deploy their more destructive armaments. The missile launchers positioned on the high walls outside Hell's Gate swiftly reoriented, aiming directly at the still-rampaging Tyranid Warbeasts.

(T/N : Colonel Quaritch my favorite guy in the movie. Embodiment of Humanity first)

The next second, several missiles ignited and launched. However, what happened next instantly dropped everyone's jaws in the base. The Tyrant Xenomorph and Zoanthrope at the center of the field immediately began to use their powerful Psionic Energy to directly detonate these missiles mid-air. A grand fireworks display erupted in the sky, and under the illumination of the explosions, the Tyranid Warbeasts appeared even more terrifying.

"What is that!?" Everyone present witnessed the green Psionic Energy discharging from the Zoanthrope and Tyrant Xenomorph.

"That's not a beast; it's more like a war weapon specifically genetically engineered," Grace said, her voice grim. Now, everyone realized the true gravity of the situation. Even their trump card weapons could not inflict any effective damage on those monsters. Just like that, Hell's Gate Base, a stronghold built over so many years, was on the verge of falling.

"Don't worry about all that! Just launch all the missiles!" Supervisor Parker, his face contorted with anger, roared, no longer caring about the inevitable company accountability. At this point, after a period of systematic destruction, all the aircraft parked in the base had been annihilated, and the entire Hell's Gate Base had become a completely isolated island. No one could escape.

Marcus, who had been floating in the air witnessing all this, nodded in satisfaction. He then slowly descended and unleashed Psionic Teleportation towards the nearby base command tower. Coincidentally, he also recalled most of the Tyranid Warbeasts, leaving only the Zoanthrope, Tyranid Hive Tyrant, and Tyrant Xenomorph to act as a visible deterrent.

After the Psionic Teleportation, Marcus instantly appeared inside the command tower. The very next second, the ferocious Tyranid Hive Tyrant swung its huge bone blade, effortlessly batting away more than a dozen AMP exoskeletons that had been in its path, before climbing into the command tower itself.

"Roar!" Accompanied by the Tyranid Hive Tyrant's terrifying roar, everyone in the command tower screamed in terror, dropping their work and attempting to escape. After all, how much money had the company even paid them? No one wanted to fight a monster capable of splitting an infantry fighting vehicle with its bare hands. Only Colonel Quaritch, being a true soldier, quickly drew his pistol and fired at the Tyranid Hive Tyrant's eye.

However, in the next second, the Sunflare Sword flew out, severing Colonel Quaritch's gun-wielding arm with a single axe-like strike.

"Calm down, ladies and gentlemen, or my Warbeasts might get agitated and tear you to shreds," Marcus stated loudly, taking off his helmet. Marcus's sudden appearance and his words immediately calmed the frantically fleeing crowd. Of course, what truly made them stop in fear was the even larger Tyrant Xenomorph guarding the entrance.

"Who are you!? And what's with these monsters!? This is a declaration of war against RDA!" In his terror, Supervisor Parker looked at Marcus and blustered.

Raising an eyebrow, Marcus replied, "I wonder if your so-called RDA can instantly cross several light-years to rescue you from my hands." Coinciding with Marcus's words, the Tyranid Hive Tyrant beside him slammed down its bone blade, causing the entire command tower to shake violently. Startled by this display of raw power, Supervisor Parker directly collapsed to his knees, his pants visibly wet.
