Chapter 138 - Under new Management

Inside the highest-grade medical room on the top floor of the Hive City, Marcus lay comfortably on the bed. Beside him, Alexia calmly read a report concerning the recent celebration attack, showing no hint that she was the orchestrator behind the deaths of dozens of Ecclesiarchy priests.

"This attack resulted in the deaths of forty-two Ecclesiarchy priests and higher-ranking personnel, with several more seriously or lightly injured." With this grim tally, Marcus had finally purged the stubborn, or rather, the Emperor-loyalist Ecclesiarchy priests on Avarax. Of the remaining Ecclesiarchy management, the vast majority had already been coerced into a Psychic Contract by Marcus, and the small, defiant portion could no longer stir up any significant trouble.

"Have you figured out how to take over the Church?" Marcus inquired, looking at Alexia.

"Still planning, but the initial strategy is ready."

Marcus didn't press for details; he believed in delegation. Since he had entrusted Alexia with the task of managing Avarax, he wouldn't interfere excessively. "Optimization of the Underhive factories has begun. According to projections, we should be able to increase production by 20% while reducing the number of workers by 40%."

Nodding, Marcus then asked about the conscription and training efforts.

"The clone factories have started producing soldiers, and half of the optimized Hive City workers will be directly conscripted into the PDF. I plan to bring over a batch of high-ranking military officers from Earth to utilize the Academy of Immortality for training grassroots officers." Listening to Alexia's report, Marcus nodded in satisfaction. If it were him, facing so many tedious tasks, he'd be overwhelmed by now. But Alexia clearly enjoyed it, relishing the feeling of managing billions of people.

"Hmm, I plan to start looking for a new world," Marcus said casually, with no one else around. Since affairs in Warhammer were relatively stable, there was nothing more to explore in the Resident Evil world, and Marcus had no immediate plans to return to the Dead Space world due to the Blood Moon's continued existence. So, he decided to embark on a new world-hopping journey.

"Oh?" Upon hearing this, Alexia was clearly interested. Marcus then displayed five potential worlds on his system panel: Avatar Movie Universe, Titanfall Game Universe, Transformers Movie Universe, Alien Movie Universe, and StarCraft Game Universe. He briefly introduced the situation of each world to Alexia.

For Marcus, who now controlled an entire Hive City world and had a cooperative relationship with Resident Evil Earth, only StarCraft and Titanfall posed significant dangers among these five worlds. The others didn't feature high-intensity, full-scale wars, and Marcus could retreat at any time. A two-fifths chance of encountering danger; if he truly landed in one of those two worlds, Marcus would have to temporarily halt his expansion and focus solely on development for a period.

"I'll go alone to confirm the situation. No need to worry." Marcus fiddled with the system panel, then pressed the new Warp button. Enveloped in white light, Marcus instantly vanished from the sickbed, leaving only Alexia behind.

"A new world…" Alexia murmured to herself for a few moments, then rose and left the room. Due to the recent celebration incident, she still had many tasks to complete.

Opening his eyes, Marcus found himself in a peculiar forest. Towering trees and vast ferns covered the landscape, punctuated by many fungi emitting a strange, ethereal light. However, these were not Marcus's primary concerns at the moment. What he cared about more was the unbreathable atmosphere. Thanks to his multi-enhanced body, even in an atmosphere composed of ammonia, methane, and chlorine, Marcus wouldn't rapidly suffocate from lack of oxygen.

"Avatar, huh? My luck isn't bad." The moment he observed his surroundings, Marcus confirmed the world he had arrived in. Opening his system panel, he retrieved a fully enclosed helmet from his inventory and put it on. Marcus then looked at the new messages on the panel.

[Plane Warp Complete.

After browsing the mission objectives, Marcus closed the panel and leaped onto the trunk of a towering tree nearby. Then, his muscles tensed, and in a mere dozen seconds, Marcus had already scaled to the crown of the hundred-meter giant tree. Looking at the magnificent scenery before him, even Marcus couldn't help but sigh in admiration. Compared to the sand-swept Hive City planet, the natural beauty of Pandora was indeed incomparable.

Just as Marcus was using Psionics to elevate himself further, looking around to determine his exact position, a flying vehicle resembling a StarCraft Banshee bomber discovered Marcus standing on the treetop.

"Hey, am I seeing things? A guy floating in the air?" In the cockpit of the flying vehicle, the pilot looked at his teammate with a bewildered expression.

"Perfect timing." Looking at the flying vehicle in the air, Marcus activated his skill [Psionic Teleportation]. A blue spiritual energy projection rushed towards the unprepared flying vehicle at an extremely fast speed. When the time ended, Marcus instantly moved to the projection's location, suddenly appearing inside the flying vehicle.

"Oh, f*ck!" The startled soldiers in the flying vehicle immediately raised their weapons and aimed them at this unknown individual. After subduing these people in a flash using his physical prowess and making them sign the Psychic Contract, Marcus spoke. "Take me to your base, now."

The soldiers, now compelled by the contract, exchanged glances. Finally, one of them opened his communicator and contacted the base. "This is Flight 018, experiencing malfunction, requesting return to base."

"Base received, request approved." The flying vehicle immediately turned around and flew towards the human, or rather, the RDA mining company's base, Hell's Gate Base.

"It's a good thing this world doesn't have the Warp, otherwise who knows what kind of trouble I'd stir up," Marcus muttered to himself. Soon, the flying vehicle arrived above Hell's Gate Base. Marcus, standing at the cabin door, jumped straight down, then floated in the air under the effect of Psionics.

No wasted words, no communication. Marcus directly opened the system panel and summoned his Tyranid Warbeasts all at once: a Hormagaunt, Gun Worm, Neurothrope, Tyranid Warrior, Grenade Worm, Biovore, Lictor, Venomthrope, Zoanthrope, Tyranid Hive Tyrant, and Tyrant Xenomorph.
