In a one-on-one situation, Three Thousand Phantom Worlds allowed Zangetsu to leave his opponent's body completely helpless and at his mercy. But if the opponent had allies to protect their body, the jutsu became a simple holding technique.
The second ability, from his right eye, was a hypnotic jutsu called Mind Transfer. (Note: This is different from the Yamanaka clan's jutsu). If Three Thousand Phantom Worlds was comparable to Tsukuyomi, then Mind Transfer was a low-spec version of Kotoamatsukami.
Kotoamatsukami could instantly and subtly rewrite a person's will without them ever knowing. Mind Transfer, on the other hand, was a deep hypnosis that slowly and silently changed a person's thoughts and will over time. It was a gradual influence, like "moistening things silently," that could eventually make a person into whatever the caster desired.
For anyone else, this might seem like a weak skill compared to the instant power of Three Thousand Phantom Worlds. But for Zangetsu, it was even more useful. He could use it to directly influence his romance targets' progress. Combined with the "Love Without Regrets" bracelet, it was a literal cheat code for romance.
This was why he was now 100% confident he could completely conquer Uchiha Mikoto. He could use Mind Transfer to slowly hypnotize her, increasing her affection. Once her progress rose, the bracelet would lock it in place, preventing it from dropping even if she consciously realized what was happening. Her falling for him was no longer a dream; it was a visible, achievable future.
The only pity was that this amazing effect only worked on a target wearing the bracelet. If he used it on anyone else, they might realize they were being hypnotized, and their affection would likely plummet.
"It's a bit cold. Don't catch a cold," Zangetsu said softly to the huddled Mikoto. He moved to sit beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close to his body.
Mikoto didn't resist. At her current "Favorable Impression" level, such an action didn't provoke any revulsion. Feeling her warmth and softness, Zangetsu smiled. This bracelet really is a good thing.
"Mikoto, can I call you that? By the way, my name is Zangetsu. Hozuki Zangetsu. You can call me Zangetsu," he said gently.
"Mm," she nodded, committing his name to memory.
"The weather is getting colder. It will probably start snowing soon," Zangetsu continued, his voice filled with nostalgia. "Every time it snows, I just want to stay home, lie by the fire all day, drink tea, eat snacks, and not have to think about missions or worry about dying on the next one. Those days are so comfortable. It would be even better if I had a gentle wife like you by my side, Mikoto. It would be enough to make a man lose himself."
He spoke, turning to look at her face, which was just inches from his. However, Mikoto seemed completely unmoved. Her "favorable" status just meant she saw him as a pleasant young man. If her affection wasn't locked by the bracelet, she would have seen his words as frivolous and his impression of her would have dropped. After all, she already had a husband and a child.
Seeing no reaction, Zangetsu didn't give up. He continued spouting pickup lines and emotional manipulation tactics he'd learned online, trying to deepen their connection and increase his progress.
But it was completely useless. His words were like playing a lute to a cow; they went in one ear and out the other.
It was to be expected. He had killed her comrades and violated her. How could she possibly have genuine good feelings for him? If not for the bracelet, she would have already unleashed her Mangekyo Sharingan on him without hesitation.
Realizing his efforts were futile, Zangetsu fell silent. It seemed he had to use another method.
He suddenly moved, knocking her unconscious.
After knocking her out, he tied her hands and feet, and then…
"This should work… Hiss, hurry!"
When Mikoto woke up again, the first thing she saw was a pair of eyes looking down at her, up close. In those eyes swirled a beautiful, four-leaf clover pattern.
"Don't think about anything. Just enjoy it," a demonic, charming voice whispered, and Mikoto's mind went hazy.
