"Good morning my sweet pumpkin"she smiled as she hugged her daughter while caressing the soft and long hair of her daughter which was platinum blonde, her beautiful silvery lustrous hair held a glimmer of gold and when the sun illuminated on her hair it radiated beautifully, Emily who was being stroked by her mother closed her eyes at the feeling of bliss and comfort her mother's words and touch evoked
"Good morning mama" she said with a smile her doey blue eyes stared into her mother's black ones "I missed you" she said while hugging her mum again like she was scared to let go and the only place she found comfort was in the arms of her mum.worried her mum asked;
"What's wrong emy"? "Was it a nightmare"?she asked in concern seeing her daughter nod in her embrace she hugged her tightly stroking her hair to reassure her that she was safe.Pulling away She saw her daughters thick and long eyelashes wet with tears her blue eyes becoming more pronounced and dilated because of the tears she spilled cleaning them she asked;
"What was it about emy"? " Don't worry I'm here no one will hurt you"giving her daughter a reassuring smile.The young girl then stared at her mother she said "I dreamt that you left me,we were supposed to leave together but you left me and I searched everywhere for you mama but I couldn't find you".The girl said with sadness.The smile on the womans face faltered at the words her daughter uttered.
"So when I woke up i was really happy to see you".she said with her small voice almost a whisper her blue eyes glistening. she then stared into her mum's eye and asked "mama will you ever leave me"?.her eyes sad, not waiting for her mother to reply she hugged her mother once again wrapping her small hands on her mother's neck fear evident in her ushered hug. she spoke;
" Don't ever leave me mama".her daughter said at the crook of her neck Emily's mum who hugged her daughter could feel tears threatening to spill from her eyes, her lips trembling as she struggled to keep herself and not break or succumb to the agony enveloping her heart as she didn't want to be weak or falter in front of her daughter. With a new resolve she muttered;
" I will never leave you Emily, I will always stay by your side and watch over you, you are mum's sweet pumpkin, how can I ever leave you?"she put up a smile even though she knew she couldn't be there physically she would be there for her in any form whatsoever, she will always be there to protect her. Her daughter who was stilled in her embrace pulled away stared at her mother "forever"?she asked in a whisper
Smiling reassuringly she answered "yes emily, forever and ever"." You promise"?she asked once more
"I promise" emily's mum answered with a chuckle while she cupped her daughter's face and planted a kiss on her head. Noticing the smile on her daughters face she said;
"Now let's go eat breakfast"she scooped her daughter from the floor who was more than happy to be carried and showered love by her mother
