"And who agreed to let him drive again?" Christian complained.
"I'm just better, beat it, punk." Waylen cockily retorted, speeding through the streets, trying to find that 'oddly' shaped building at Perry's request; also since they had no idea where else to go.
"Was it left or right, Ax?" Waylen asked, pressing on the breaks in the middle of the street, waiting for her answer.
"Erm… probably left, like I said barely 2 minutes ago?" she replied, rolling her eyes.
Perry was looking out the window, spaced out, staring at the sun that was now starting to set. After the sun shone right into her blue irises, she snapped back into reality.
"There, there, Waylen!" Axelle yelled out, pointing to an, indeed, weirdly shaped building.

"Alright, it's weird enough that you lost the building after going past it, but now we're on the complete opposite side? Waylen, get away from the wheel." Axelle huffed, looking at him with an apathetic stare.
"Just go back." Maverick simply commented, not looking up from his phone.
"If it was just that easy, blueberry." Waylen replied.
In the end, it was Perry and Christian voted to drive, since they drove nicely, unlike everyone else in the van.
"I've already driven once. You drive." Christian stated, his expression serious.
"Whatever." Perry didn't argue, plus, it was only fair. Usually, she didn't care what was fair or not when it came to Christian. But, there was no winning that argument anyway.
Perry took the wheel, and managed to start driving. "Any shops or landmarks near the area?"
"Well… on the maps it says that it should be around the corne—"
"Let someone else read the map, Maverick." Perry interrupted him.
"No, no, he's right, Perry. It says, 'turn the corner, and turn the first right from there'." Rexine reassured.
So, that's what Perry did. Sure enough, there the building was. Perry parked the van, and the group filed out.
"Bloody hell, that building sure is tall," Eli mumbled under his breath.
"Are we going inside or just gonna stand here all day?" Dave said, marching ahead, before anyone else.
Darren let out a sigh at his brother's actions, but followed behind nonetheless.
"Do you think rich people live here? I mean I don't know anyone who'd pay to live in such an ugly house but rich people," Maverick carelessly commented, walking forward matching Rexine's pace.
Rexine sighed. "Yes Maverick, rich people or not, we're going in, alright?"
"Were not rich though—"
"Mave, dude, I'm sure it doesn't matter. The rich people are idiots roaming around mindlessly now. Literally." Dave cut him off.
"Kill yourself!" Waylen shouted, particularly noisily, stomping aggressively on a zombie.
"...Was he dropped on the head as a baby?" Maverick asked, looking and pointing back at Waylen as if he was any better.
"Excuse me?" Waylen yelled from a distance.
"I'm not sure about him, but you, I'm pretty sure you were, Maverick. Mom was clumsy." Rexine shrugged nonchalantly.
Maverick narrowed his eyes at Rexine, turning away. "What? Rude!!!"
"Yeah, but facts." Christian muttered, loud enough so he heard.
"This is bullying!" Maverick exclaimed, pretending to act offended, but he didn't believe anything Rexine said. Well, afterall, dumb people never believe they're dumb.

"Okay, why does it have to be this creepy inside a building?" Dave muttered, looking around the mainly dark halls.
"Where else would it be creepy, Dave?" Maverick asked. Stupid, like him.
"Outside, Maverick, outside!!" Dave yelled.
"Keep it down, guys." Perry commented, walking past them into the dark, quiet hallway.
"Spooky, man. Spooky." Maverick sighed, following behind Perry.
"Ok, who lives here? Genuinely, I'd never even want this for my worst enemy." Waylen said, crouching over a bloody water bottle.
"It's just dark, mate. Just dark. Not a ritual going on." Eli answered, pointing his flashlight at him.
"How do you know that, huh?" Christian said, looking over his shoulder, giving Eli a startle. He just sighed.
"Guys, why the heck are we even here?" Rexine questioned.
"Dave went in head first, and we all just kind of followed.." Ruby replied, walking alongside Rexine.
"Can we leave, please?" Dave asked, though there was a clear answer to that.
"No, Dave, we're investigating. Plus you came in here first acting all confident." Darren argued.
"Well, can we investigate somewhere else?" Dave proposed, but, again, there was an obvious answer.
"Guys?... Take a look over here." Waylen muttered to anyone that was close enough to hear him, peeking inside a room through a small square window on the door.
"Is this place like a science lab or something? It's bloody and well.. There's creepy tools everywhere." Waylen said, pointing his flashlight into the room, only to alert a zombie inside.
Maverick, standing behind Waylen, noticed. It was odd, to him, at least. "Aren't zombies like.. Blind? Not deaf?" he asked.
Perry's eyes widened as she approached. But, flinched at the sudden thud. The zombie had run into the door. But then, it tried grabbing the doorhandle from what they could tell. Ok— now they were surprised. Zombies definitely weren't that smart.
Maverick was right.
"Holy— you're actually right, Maverick!" Axelle proceeded to yell her observation in Waylen's ear. He covered his ears, sighing and backing away from the door, wary now. Perry did the same, giving some space between her and the door.
Then, the door creaked open. Waylen stumbled back, seeing a pair of eyes staring at him. He didn't give it a second thought before hiding behind Axelle.
Then, the door swung open, quite aggressively. The door hit the wall parallel to it, as the zombie lunged forward, falling on Ruby. Why was it always her?
Perry didn't think twice to step in and beat the zombie, stepping on it, kicking it, but shockingly it didn't falter. Even a normal human would've faltered under that much damage.
"What the.." Perry muttered, staring at it. Ruby held a metal rod against its neck, holding it away from her head. Finally, Christian stepped in, grabbing the zombie, trying his utter best to get it off Ruby.
