Chapter 60 - CHAPTER 60 (S3)

"Follow them?! Are you bloody insane?" Eli yelled back in response.

"Well what else do ya suggest, redhead?" Christian chimed in, huffing as he turned his gaze to him.

"You know, I suggest you use your BRAIN to understand that we can't just follow after them like some lost kittens! What if they're not good people?" Eli stated, which, not one of them could argue against.

"Well, why don't we just—" Waylen started, but quickly got cut off.

"No. Follow the van." Perry's voice cut through, serious— no room for objection. Yet, obviously the ginger wouldn't give in so easily.

"Are you bloody freakin' nuts?! We can't just—!" Eli tried to reason, but to no success.

"Just follow the damn van. It's not that hard." Perry cut him off once again.

Eli sighed. Waylen was already doing just that, not wanting to cause anymore annoyance or negative emotions throughout the group.

"What the hell..?" Waylen muttered, as he got closer.

"...'Ey, Perry, you mentioned somethin' about some blue haired twins.. before, right?" Waylen asked for reassurance, while slightly accelerating the car to meet up with the mysterious van's speed.

"Yeah..— wait, is that them??" Perry shot up in her seat, leaning forward to try and get a look. If she wasn't interested before, she definitely was now. So were the other two, Christian and Ruby.

"Well… I do see blue hair, if anything. So, yes, probably." Waylen replied, focusing his attention on catching up with the van.

"Is it actually those idiots?" Christian asked, trying to get a better view as well. As for Ruby, she wasn't too sure how to feel. But, she was interested. She indeed also did want to get a look. Maybe a subtle glance, even.

"Didn't those two leave on their own?" Axelle asked, though she already knew the answer.

"Yes, they did. But it doesn't matter right now, alright?" Christian answered, not annoyed for once, but sounding rather anxious.

"What's the point if the chance they're going to leave again is high?" Waylen stated, as if giving them advice on their own friends.

"And how would you know that, smarty pants?" Axelle asked, scoffing.

"Hey, it's just a stupid assumption, alright?" Waylen sighed.

"Scared there'll be no more room for you here, buddy boy?" Axelle teased, knowing she was starting to piss of Waylen.

"Wha— Hold on, of course not! Why would I even care about that?!" Waylen spat out, stuttering like crazy.

"Yeah, deny it all you want, but you totally are worried, idiot."

Axelle countered, as Eli and Christian tried desperately to hold back their laughs.

"No way in hell." Waylen denied, though his body language and voice said otherwise.

There was a brief silence, before Eli spoke again. "So are we following them now instead of going to that shop you were talking about, Perry?" He asked, rolling down the window, then back up after making a disgusted face. It freaking stinked.

"Yeah. There's no way I'm going to let an opportunity like this go. They're like right in front of us." Perry stated firmly, her voice stern, really leaving Waylen no choice but to obey her orders.

"Let me drive." Perry then said, catching not just Waylen off guard, but just as for everyone else in the van. But, Waylen didn't want to argue with Perry, especially not when she was this serious. It's not like they knew each other that long anyway.

Waylen quickly got out, and Perry slid into the driver seat. After everyone was set again, Perry started to drive. She hadn't lost them yet, but was close to that. So right off the bat Perry sped up to over 100 kmph. It was… scary, to say the very least.

"Alright mate, make sure to take mental notes to not let Perry drive while she's pissed." Eli said, loud enough so everyone heard.

"Im not pissed."

"She so is." Axelle muttered back in response.

Perry didn't stop, despite the comment from the ginger. She only seemed to speed up, swerving left to right, avoiding dead bodies and random objects laying in the middle of the road.

Eli was grabbing onto his seat, scared for his life. He was frozen, watching each and every object that passed by, as if it'd move from its spot and hit the car any moment.

As for Axelle, the same couldn't be said. She was chilling, although trying not to pay too much attention to the way Perry was driving, or else she feared she'd get motion sick.

Waylen who was now beside Axelle couldn't really do anything. He definitely didn't trust the way Perry drove, but he wasn't too scared.

Ruby and Christian being at the very back, they didn't seem too scared, but rather more concerned. Ruby couldn't stay depressed. It didn't suit her, and it just wasn't her thing in general. To say the least, if she kept it up, it'd be all an act.

As for Christian, he already had trust issues with Perry, and this was all only making it 10 times worse.

"Oi, Shitty face! Keep it down would you? I get you want to kill me, but think of the other people in the van, alright?!" He yelled to Perry, making the girl scoff and roll her eyes. Of course that idiot thought it was about him. He always does.

"Not everything is about you, idiot!" Perry yelled back, Christians cockiness and pride getting to Perry. Not the best time, if she was being honest.

"That's not—" Christian sighed, knowing it would be impossible to get to Perry through words in her current state. "Forget it."

Perry was right behind the van she'd assumed that the blueberry siblings were in, still trailing behind them, hoping to get noticed. The paltry amount of distance between the two vehicles was noticeable, or so, Perry hoped it was.

In fact, it might've just worked. Because, whoever was inside the van decided to slowly pull over, stopping the vehicle completely near the pavement. Perry watched as the driver got out, hoping to see the familiar blue hair she oh-so wanted to see.

Then, there it was. One of the few times she felt so relieved to see the colour blue on someone's head. Nonetheless, betrayers, you could say. It was Rexine who stepped out of the driver's seat, walking towards their van.
