CHAPTER 3
Alessia
Somewhere in the city
"Aunty Gini must be worrying so much about me. She doesn't know what is happening so please can you do me a favor David?. Just take me home" I whispered, David remained silent for a couple of seconds and then said
"Where is your home Gorgeous?"
"Alessia, I'm Alessia, call me that. I really hate it when men start being romantic with me, because they'll end up breaking my heart"
"Point of correction I'm not men, I am David... Anyway do you mind leaving me your number?" David asked while handing me his phone. The phone was looking very expensive, even what he was wearing, but what bothered me was that his house was too small, there was no furniture in the house, or maybe that wasn't his real house because he was a person who was running away with his life. I glanced back at him and asked
"Is this your real home? Your phone? You use iPhone 5 Black Diamond? Do you know that the phone is worth $15 million dollars? How come you afford that you don't even own a house?" I asked him with a face full of surprises, it didn't even make sense, with the cabin he was living in and the phone he was using. He looked back at me and said
"Well this is not my place, it's my friend's. I hope all the confusion is now erased in your little head. Now tell me this, what happened to your wedding? Did you run away?" He asked, I really wanted to tell him everything but I knew if I started talking I was going to be emotional until I started crying,
"No, I mean there's no time for me to explain what happened. Please take me home, I need to change this wedding dress as well, it's stopping me from breathing" I said. He quickly unzipped his jacket and I said
"What are you doing? You can't take off your jacket in front of me" I said.
"I want to give you my t-shirt! It's long, I assume you have tights inside. Put on this t-shirt and remove that heavy wedding dress of yours" he said while handing me over his t-shirt. I slowly lifted up my head and looked at him directly in the eyes, for a few seconds I couldn't look away, it seemed like I was already trapped in his beautiful green eyes, I slowly looked down to his chest, his muscles and six pack were driving me crazy!
"Alessia are you ok?" He asked while bringing me back to reality. I prepared my voice and said
"Yeah... I'm fine.. by the way you are so handsome, I really like a man with muscles and a six pack."
"Oh so you were staring at my muscles now? The bride has run away from her own wedding, instead of going back to fix things she's now seeing another man?" He said, I got upset quickly by his words and said
"I didn't leave, Ethan left me ok. He is married somewhere else. I loved him, we were in love for 5 good years b....'
"Wait" he cut me
"Ethan? You said Ethan right? What is his surname?" Before I could answer his phone rang, he quickly picked it up as it was set to louder
📱...Mom? Hello?
"Son where are you? I have good news. I have found a beautiful girl for you here, come back and get married to her" his mother asked, I remained quiet deep down I asked myself "so he's not yet married? A handsome guy like him? Oh my goodness..."
📱... Mom enough! How many times do I need to tell you that I'll look for a girl myself???. After all I'm not ready to get married do you understand?"
"Listen David, Ariel she needs a mom. Whether you want to get married or not, you are going to get married. I can't stand watching my granddaughter growing up without a motherly love, since her mother died you never bothered yourself to marry again, do you even care about your daughter. When will your single life ever ends??" The lady on the phone shouted. Oh so David was a father already, although his wife was no more. Deep down I felt sorry for him. He replied to his mom and said
📱... Mom someone is after my life, I'm hiding somewhere, I'll be home soon then we'll talk about this ok. For now bye I'm hanging up" he said while disconnecting the call.
"Well you have a daughter? Your mom wants you to get married too???" I asked him. Seems like he was already angry, but who cares anyway. I wasn't the one who made him angry, after all we both had our own problems. He then held my hand and we were walking out of the room we were in heading for the car, he opened the car door for me, I then got in and he also got in and said
"Give me your house address, I'll drop you home" I then looked at my phone and it gave him the current location. He drove the car in no time we reached our gate and stopped
"Is this your house?" He asked. I nods.
" Yeah, hey wait let me return this t-shirt to you. Let me go into the house and change and give it back to you?"
"No keep it" he whispered. I smiled a bit looking at that t-shirt, all my life no man had ever asked me to keep his t-shirt, Ethan always said that his t-shirts are expensive, he didn't want me to put them on. I smiled then quickly hugged him from nowhere, at first he was surprised but he hugged me back and I said
"Thank you, you seem kind. And yes you saved my life" I whispered. He was surprised and said
"I saved your life how Alessia?"
"I wanted to kill myself, then I met you, I mean I bumped into you, that's how it started right" I laughed "so yeah you saved my life"
" You saved my life too, thank you. Listen Alessia You're so beautiful, don't you ever think of killing yourself for a man. Please! You deserve better. And I'm sorry for being upset, it's because of my mother. This woman is making my life a living hell"
"It's okay, she just wants her son to get married, so how old is your daughter?" Before he answered his phone rang, obviously it was his mother again. I entered the gate and he was about to get into the car. We waved our hands at each other....
I opened the front door then stepped inside, I was in a short tight and David's t-shirt, wedding dress in my hands. When Aunty Gini saw me, she stood up and looked at me with a face full of confusion and shock....
"Alessia? What happened? Why are you in a man's t-shirt? Is your wedding cancelled? My niece talked to me! What happened sweetheart?" She asked worriedly, tears started going down, she stepped closer to me and asked again
"I am talking to you Alessia dear, what happened. We were waiting to get picked up by Ethan's car, but his bodyguards never came. Say something?'
"He ran away, he said he never loved me. Aunt Gini, I'm so heartbroken. He texted a message saying he is married as well. His wife first"
"Are you kidding me? His wife? What about you?"
"I was his play toy Aunty"
"The reason why I hate rich people, they think they are perfect! He is a coward son of a b!tch! If he thinks he can get away with t...." She couldn't finish talking, she started coughing already. I helped her sit on the sofa and ran to get water and gave it to her
"Here please drink, calm down Aunty Gini" I tried giving her water but she was already fainted. I felt scared and I quickly phoned an ambulance....
"Alessia? What's going on? What's wrong with my mother?"
Mandy asked
"She just fainted ok! The ambulance will be here soon"
"Mom wake up, mom.... Mom please wake up. (Crying) Mom... hey can you hear me? Alessia please do something, wake her up"
"Mandy calm down, thank God the ambulance is already here"
Aunty Gini was taken to the ambulance, Mandy and I also got in there
"What's wrong with her?" I asked
"I think it's blood pressure"
"But she'll survive right?" Mandy asked

At the mansion
I reached our mansion and put the car in the garage and headed inside,
"Dad, are you back?" Ariel rushed to me while giving me a huge hug. I hugged her back then quickly carried her I'm going to the bedroom of Mrs Katharina, my mother. Katie for shorts. I opened her door and when I entered there was a girl, she was wearing a mini dress without hips, her face im sure it was suffering from the dozen of makeup she had
"Look how beautiful she is, she came from a rich family. Her name is Pinky, you guys should get married now"
"Sorry I'm not interested in her, I think I've found someone"
"You found already? Is she beautiful? Rich and classic?"
"Being rich doesn't matter, what matters the most is, loving and caring, I want someone who loves kids, and I believe the girl I met loves kids"
"Listen son, if that girl you saw is not rich then forget about her. Remember this is the Maynard family, we do not need poor people here, at least for the sake of our surname. Do you understand me?"
"If you want rich ones and classics then go ahead and marry Pinky. I can never marry your choice Mrs Katie"
